#Reduced number of troops on lower difficulty DI is problematic

My guild is running all the events on Medium difficulty and today when Dragon Invasion started I noticed that we can now equip only six troops instead of the ten we could do before (on what is now Hard difficulty). I think this should be reverted to ten troops for all difficulties, for three main reasons: (1) limiting the number of troops that can be equipped limits the maximum scores a guild can achieve, thus making it harder for guildmasters and officers to determine when the guild is ready to move up to the next difficulty; (2) limiting the number of troops makes it harder for higher level players to carry lower level players through events; and (3) players have never been forced to equip all troops, so they could still equip only six per day if that's all they can come up with.

Same here, we are at medium and can only equip 6. This also cuts into your ability to sell equipment. I expected that medium would just have an overall lower score / lower rewards to get pass the various dragons, not a change in how you equip.

Thank you for opening this! Feel the same way. Super disappointed in only 6. Also affects how much cash the guild can make off the invasion. I went back to the release notes and don’t feel that was spelled out very well. And since we can’t change it back mid-event, guess this month’s run is kinda thrown.

However - no difficulty is intended to be solo-able; maybe that is why Supply is severely limited for Medium, as minimum Individual contribution is drastically reduced too.

That's fair, but it can only go so far. I am so far ahead of most of my guildies that I was able to solo Medium KC, for example, and everyone else just had to do what they could to get personal contributions up. And, for that matter, the personal contribution requirements make it so that one person soloing the content can only do so much anyway, everyone else still has to meet a threshhold to get the rewards.

Looking at things now, my guild will easily max out the Medium rewards after day 2 even with the 6 troopers, and by myself I'll have earned enough points to max out Medium after day 3. (A lot of guildies will work all five days and still not get all the rewards, but that's expected for us and isn't a concern.)

So for us, at least, the restriction to 6 troopers isn't making it more challenging for us to complete the event, but it will make it harder for some members to get the personal scores they would need, and as I mentioned in the original post, it definitely makes it impossible for us to judge how we might do going back to Hard.

I don’t really see a benefit to this for lower level guilds, it wouldn’t mess up anything to have the point requirements balanced around 10 items for every difficulty

Since I can only speculate but I guess there will be a strategy to get where you want.

Spend gold on 40 rather mediocre items (because you cannot afford the bis) OR you get 24 better ones?

Only 6 also affects Market during event for lower level crafters.

Yeah I don’t know if players doing that difficulty will be stocking the 200 items beforehand or enchanting but if they frequently do then it does make more sense to have less items when you probably have less storage

if that's the case, it's 24 of the same "better ones" AND 16 of whatever = more pts

I know that though it’s been some time since I was a new and small player.

If I remember right alpha and maybe even beta tower only provide 3 slots for heroes not 4 like later.

Do you consider that also as „not okay“ since with 4 heroes its easier to climb up, isn’t it?

Let’s wait until Friday if lower difficulties show a different party sizes as well.
