u can just not sell to them
are you bothered by the counter being full? in that case u can just limit/block it off
this should allow u to not get any customers. They will still enter the shop but wont go to the counter since its blocked off

You can block off the doorway with furniture or you can just ignore the customers since they don't really affect anything that way, or refuse them occasionally to make them leave. I like that last one cause then new customers come and give energy 😁

i just refuse customers once my inventory gets low( nowadays gets kinda rare) but i also dont wanna miss out on possible shoppers offering me stuff to buy 🙂

While I would love a close shop option I tend to simply move my racks to inaccessible areas so that sellers can come in along with workers and the king
