Content Pass Rewards replaces all owned gear with 25 Ascension Shards.
This is a very unreasonable practice.
I wish the content pass rewards would replace all the gear I already own with antique tokens of equal value to the gear.

I would suggest a higher number of ascension shards rather than tokens, if it were to change. As shards benefit everyone, whereas people who have all the blueprints don’t have a huge use for antique tokens - and the people who have all the old prints offered in a content pass are more likely than not to have a large portion, if not all of the blueprints in the game

The method of obtaining Antique Token is much more difficult than Ascension Shard.
For antique shop : If you have everything that can appear in a slot (for example you own all the tier 6 and below prints) one of these will appear instead:
Ascension Shards
Champion Coins
Gems
Keys
Loot Bugles
Moonstones
Phoenix Feathers
Repair Kits
Research Scrolls
Runestones
Seeds
Sigils
XP Drinks
It would be better if we use Antique Token to exchange for other things we want.
I believe most people will choose the Antique Token of equal value to the equipment.

Maybe it could be a merchant level thing? End game, the ascension shards are much better, but maybe for lower level merchants, the antique tokens would be better? There could be a cut off level for when it switches.
