Some how I have managed to keep access to the email I created shop titans with which connects with webstore even though I've changed email provider 2 times in 4 years.

Eventually that provider will be no more so there needs to be something done to keep having access to webstore & shop titans if my accounts linked to that ancient email.

I plan to move house soon and I see a lot of frustration incoming because of this.

A mobile phone identification code linked to my mobile number would make life easy.

Some of us have already been living with that frustration for a while. It's an unreasonable policy, and I'm not sure how it is doing them any good to have it.

They won't change the policy about changing emails. Allowing a change of email can lead to lots of fraud. Yes it would be great if they connected the webstore to a phone number but people seem to change numbers all the time too. I don't understand all the changes. I've had the sane email and phone number for 25yrs now >_<

I was paying £56 a month for bt 5 years ago now I pay £23 a month with talktalk. Changing makes a lot of sense.

I switch phone providers but I've always kept my same number.

I had an email address for 25 years too. Then I changed my ISP and lost the account. I went with Gmail, which is an address already associated with my Shop Titans account anyway through Google Play. Not sure why I should not be allowed to change my address to that one.

The idea that preventing email changes will prevent fraud is fiction. If someone is going to create accounts to sell, they'll just make an email address and sell that with the Shop Titan account. All this policy does is punish legitimate users, and prevent us from using the web store.

The release notes for v20 mention:

"Kabam Cross Connect is now utilizing Kabam ID. Overall functionality remains the same."

Does this resolve the issue being discussed here of Cross Connect being tied to a defunct email address? If so, how can we use Kabam ID to update the address?

You still use your existing email to get the code. The only difference from what I can tell is the verification code comes direct from Kabam similar to the linking process in the game rather than using Xsolla 3rd party. So this doesn't solve the issue of having a defunct email address linked to your account.

Another one I don't understand, getting a bunch of new phones. Why not just look after the one you have, I can assure you the vast majority of people don't need the LATEST iPhone, it just bemuses me

Understandable but unfortunately completely off topic. I just added experience I have from years of finding solutions for „I am missing stuff due to I cannot access account“ …

Whenever I get a new phone I transfer all my data over, aside from which I remember my Hotmail, Gmail and so on anyways.

You can typically pay a set fee to your provider to maintain the name/domain of your email address after changing provider. In the above case this offers a solution.

This is not a helpful solution in most cases.

Even if it were, why keep making excuses for this policy? When I lost my ISP-provided email, I changed every account I could find, from web sites to gaming services to medical stuff. Hundreds of accounts in the end.

Exactly 2 of them were unable to change my address. Kabam, and Apple, and Apple's problem was that someone had apparently attempted to sign up using my Gmail address at some point (not me), and they refused to allow the address to be reused. Kabam is the only one out of that huge list to be this unreasonable about it.
