#Event points Reward ranks

Hiho our guild had now 3 times in a row the same problem, we worked hard (in the end with many items) to reach a higher stage in the a Event and made it. BUT then one player left the Guild after he claimed the reward we was aiming for. So 3/4 of the Guild could not claim the rewards.

This time i luckily managed to get the reward 😉
Many of us not managed it and are now totally frustrated (since its not the first time)

So my Suggestion is when a stage is unlocked it should be unlocked till the end of the event and not based on the actual points of the guild.

We discussed some other ways but most of them not work.
So keep the aktuell system, only chance that it stays unlocked would be nice

Thanks

The problem is that there could be strong players that would guild hop to boost a number of their friends' guilds.

Perhaps what might fix this would be for each player's contribution (I'll call them points) in an event be attached to that individual guild.

If a player leaves voluntarily, then the points they earned stay with that guild. That way if a player leaves a guild, the guild doesn't lose the progress made by their former guildmate.

If a player is kicked from a guild though, then the guild is rejecting the player, so they are also rejecting that player's contributions. They should lose access to the points earned by that player as a penalty.

However a player leaves a guild, voluntarily or kicked, they should retain access to the points they earned from that guild for their own rewards, but only until they join a new guild. Joining a new guild automatically resets your points earned to zero and the player has to start from scratch again in their new guild.

I think this would provide enough disincentive for players to guild hop to abuse events. Maybe a tally mark could be added to both the player and the guild when players leave, or are kicked mid-event? Kabam could then review accounts and guilds that have high tallies to see whether there was any evidence that the system was being abused.

Hmm sorry i disagree in this point. We had a similar idea in our gild discussion. But we came to the same point as you in the first post.

If the points stays in the guild where they are crafted/farmed
this would allow high level friends easily to help other guild and boost them for 1 day at the beginning.

But if they louse the points and only have unlocked some reward ranks they still need to make the points to get the high tier rewards so a boost from a high level is not so much worth.

Sure they still can help when they finished all stages in the own guild but this is the same problem as today.

But yehr its still a better solution as it is acutely, with this huge frustration

Can I play devil's advocate for a bit and make a risky suggestion.

I believe losing event progress is enough penalty to individual players and it does seem fair that the old guild doesn't get to keep it.

My point however is that this issue seems more like a guild's issue to retain your members rather than an event issue. One time is bad luck and sucks for sure, but since you mentioned it's not a singular event, it might be time to take a closer look at the guild itself.

Every guild usually has a solid loyal core and a part of the guild that comes and goes. Personally my advice would be to get to a point where you can complete the event with just your core without having to depend on the fickle members.

Thanks for the feedback its a good point.

We also looked at the members who left the guild they all reached a point where they are close or reached the max levels(workers/heros etc.).
So we are in a loop with a kinda no progress on our invest…
Only out guild level increases step by step.

maybe the best way to play this game is not stay loyal to a guide until a point where the guild can easy complete all events.
So leave the aktuell guild on some breaking points is the best way like level 50, 55, 60 or Invest 1G 10G 100G etc. since the bonus for staying in a guild is to low compared to the bonus of a higher level gild benefits.

Don’t know if this the right way to think about it but if its work why not

Both sides sounds fair. I'll just say I don't think the guild hopping contingency is something that needs to be planned against: if someone wants to split their time hopping between guilds, and each guild only retains the points earned while that player was with them, what's the harm? It's definitely not an optimal or game-breaking practice.

While I happen to be in a guild I which this has no effect any more, I can remember when my guild was small enough that this was a problem. It’s extremely inconsiderate for someone to leave a guild mid-event before others had a chance to pick up the prizes and the other guild members had to suffer. I do believe the points should stay with the guild, presuming the guild didn’t kick the player. To counter large players bouncing from guild to guild to help out friends simply, make it so that any player going a guild mid-event can’t contribute to the event. This would force players to pick a guild and stick with it through out the event or change guilds during an event with the understanding they will no longer be able to contribute to the event with another guild. That solves both issue

you could say the same about the other thing tho?
a hopper leaving is only a punishment for 1 time?

also if you think deeper into it
if he leaves mid event you should be able to still get it, if you don't have the individual or guild ability to make up for it with enough time remaining you shouldn't be blaming the hopper
if he leaves near the end and you don't get time to make up for it, it's not exactly leaving mid event since it'd be near the event and if you don't claim the rewards y ou can by then, it's a shame but it wasn't meant to be for you that event.

don't get me wrong, I hate guild hoppers with a passion, I just don't think this thread is such a big issue

I still think it makes intuitive sense that the points stay with the guild. It would be much fairer too - especially if someone is able to collect a reward and then rob the rest of the guild of it (ninja-looting is back?)!

Plus recruitment is not easy or fast, and if you lose someone during an event, a new recruit worth their salt may well want to wait until the end of the event before moving.

I agree it's not a huge issue, but it has a very simple solution.

@exotic jungle e you where against my suggestion about curving lower guildies for the ability to get guild unlocked items, especially for the caprise, based off of them being more active. Here you don't want the big guy to get punished for hoping and your defense is the guild isnt active, but prior to the event they would have known the guild is too weak. so i feel your reasoning is contradictive. I get the sense that you are all about let the big guy do what ever when ever and don't let newer people enjoy aspects of the game. I remember when these events did not exsist, we also didnt even have guild bounties....THE GAME WAS BORING. now your essentially telling everyone to be bored play better. i agree with @fathom crow here on this. Why punish other players based off of one persons actions? The main element on this game is teamwork. The town invest, the pts for event, the trade. Only thing solo is your individual unlock and tower of titan. And guess what teamwork effects your ability for the individual unlock progression. Its again a community game, why are we beating down on the community because of 1 persons action?

Hold on for a sec here cuz I need to approach this point per point

  1. I do support punishing guild hoppers, but on the event side of the penalty I do believe just losing their personal progress is enough of a penalty. I won't repeat my words in this thread because I still stand by them.

  2. don't mix your thread with this one, this one is about punishing guild hopping for events, yours is for giving people ez rewards just because they put in the time, regardless of their growth.

  3. I am not about not letting new players not enjoying aspects of the game, in fact I"m all for it and I'm very happy the new worker gave them a good way of catching up
What I am against however is allowing newer players to stand on equal footing as late game players, just because they put in the effort, I do not support the participation trophy mentality. The game, including events is easy to late game players because they've worked and put the time in to get to that point.
New players get to enjoy a lot of aspects of the game but I don't feel like they need a shortcut to enjoy the same perks as the people that have been playing it for 3 years

  4. I am active within #1037756743549190278 because I like this game and I love to give my feedback on how we could steer it in a healthy and good direction in my opinion, I do not have any intent of letting some people enjoy the game and not others, so please don't assume my intentions based on the fact I didn't agree with you in a thread.

It still stands to reason that when the said player was in the guild, they were part of the team. Because they bounced, the team should not have to reprogress through an already team achieved situation. It's alot easier to leave then it is to recruit. It can also be used in a malicious attempt. Now if the guild kicked said person...well then yea punish the guild. Its not participation trophy when as a guild it was already done.

exotic jungle
#

yeah but it wasn't done as a guild
in this case, we're talking about one player obv doing a lot more than the others
because if you do 1/20th of the event contribution you're always guaranteed to be able to claim everything.

I mean i guess its boiling down on the severity we imagine. If you break it down as this guy did all the work...then its sounding like a participation trophy, but it can be that the team literally fell short by say 1k because that guy bounced with 1k. I wouldn't say a guild was incapable then. Suzie if she knew chad bounced with 1k could had rushed more.

That also falls into timing

@exotic jungle
Im totally confused by your posts 😅

My original solution is not punishing guild hoppers, he still is lousing his points same as the guild.
My solution only protects all players.

Let me explain a bit more:

Lets say your guild reached the max level then your guild leader kicks you -> you cant claim any rewards, with my suggestion you can still claim it since the rewards are unlocked till the end of the event.
Same if one player leaves during/near the end of an Event. The guild louses his points but the rewards are still abel to claim.
If they want to reach the next stage they have to farm the „lost“ points + the points to the next stage

Im totally against punching players that want to leave a guild! When they want to go they should go!
But not punished all other members that are „to slow“
