I just listed 16 Corsair Gloves on the market. I tried to list them at a price above what they were currently going for, and then clicked through to make the listing, but as I did, I realized that it had set the price even lower than the base value. So I cancelled the order, 1 second after listing it. I didn't get the Corsair Gloves back and I didn't get any gold.

Update: We figured out that it's a display bug, and that I did get the gold, although it didn't update on the UI at the time. See comments below for details.

Support refused to check the logs. They said it was safe to assume that I got the money even though it didn't show up immediately, because the marketplace has no bugs.

Yeah. Selling below base will usually always auto sell before you can click cancel.

It's likely that they're right about me receiving the money and it just being a display problem, but they could have at least checked the logs. As a software developer, if I ever refused to check the logs for something because I claimed that our software didn't have any bugs, I'm pretty sure my manager would have something to say about that.

the thing is you didn't reach a dev yet. you got handled by a custommer service agent and sometimes they do make mistakes. if you think you ticket was misshandled you can let tristan check that. he'd need your ingamename and #12345 for that

Few years ago they added a feature that auto matched sales and requests thats why stuff usually auto sells when the price is low.

I know that it was just support and not developers, but that just means that it's actually their job to look at this sort of thing. I gave them my account id and the time it happened, too. I don't think I'll bother the developers about it.

That's what I was thinking it was, but I remember seeing something (and taking advantage of the situation) where an item was requested at a higher price than it was offered at. That must have been before the change.

That makes sense that that's what happened, in which case they just need to fix the display to show it as sold, which would probably fix the gold updating issue in turn.

Yea i did and it did give me the gold

It seems if you cancel at the exact same time as the sale no message is generated

Item and the gold disappear from market but you get it still

Seems kind of like it could be a bug. Should leave the gold in your market slot so you know its sold.
