I've been putting off getting the Engineer pack because it's $29.99. In this Black Friday bundle, it's only $2 off and you've added 1,500 gems. Keep the gems and bring the price of the pack down. Yeah that's a nice bonus but I'm not really saving any money. I was expecting a better deal on already available worker packs, not modified packs to justify charging practically the same amount.

It's strange. If the package was $10 cheaper I'd buy it without hesitation. From 24,99 to 14,99. But when the price stayed and they added diamonds it's not an interesting offer. That's not how they do business, unfortunately stFaceSurprised

I read a post by a dev in which they said they didn't want to encourage people to only buy workers during BF. Not that I agree with it, just passing the message along

I understand the business practice behind their decision. At the same time, there are plenty of other opportunities to have reduced prices for workers or bundles; celebrating the games release date, any other holiday, random monthly specials, etc. During a time when you expect to save money though, these Black Friday Bundles are a disappointment

@hardy hazel it's just disappointing I guess. At a time when these bundles should save money, they found a way to keep it from happening

Agreed. I ended up telling my guild I was taking a break from the game since I haven't logged on since black friday. It comes down to feeling like I got the energy sapped out of me and feeling alienated by these decisions I guess. The king pack doesn't have to be good enough to try and justify/force 2-3 okay buys and 2-3 shit ones...and where my deep discounts at?!? Keep in mind I must've spent a grand on this game by now. Anyway, ramble over.
Edit: Epic this epic that blah blah blah blah what bearing does it have on the way they designed the black friday deal. It sucks to be forced to buy something you don't want

I got the engineer and mine was significantly cheaper. Along with the epic coupon it was a good deal. Was it different for everyone?

Packs are usually cheaper on Epic Games compared to other platforms. I'm not sure about the 1500 gems though

The entire pricing policy, including the alleged discounts, are all fantasy prices and fictitious discounts that are in no way understandable. There is no base price that would allow you to understand the prices and discounts. Much worse, some of what is happening here is criminally relevant in many countries and is punished with very high fines.
