A visual cue so we know when it took place, etc. to avoid restarting hoping it happened.
Also when loading maybe a screenshot or at least something like date time to let us know.
EDIT: thanks for the below: I have never noticed. Maybe it should be more prominent. At the moment old checkpoint saves are kept from previous playthroughs of the same map which is confusing if you think you reached one just to load into a game from the week before!
