listen to a lot of music, and for me it's developing an musically inclined ear

most songs follow patterns, and there's also some guides on daws like FL to help on that part

yup there is definitely a ton of material out there teaching chords and scales, so much that you don't know where to start 😄
I would check out andrew huangs channel, he has great beginner videos teaching music theory.

Scaler plug in is a good way to learn AND create at the same time ! Scaler can teach you voicing variations, and progression theory, powerful plug in

if you get lost or want a slightly longer but simple and useful way: learn simple piano. take starter theory, learn scales, half/full steps, rythm and you will be able to play stuff on a midi keyboard

my highschool teacher gave me a tool for free called breezinthrutheory and it helped like crazy. i think its paid but my school gave it free (im in US)

Ai gives you awesome ways to practice, approach learning music, methods on separating your hands to play different things, stuff like that

So far, not the best at giving targetted advice on individual pieces as per my experience

Research and understand the Circle of Fifths. Learn how to build a triad from the root note. Practice triads in different scales.

Jeff schnider has some very good videos and chord scale pdfs you can use for free.

I suggest you pick the C major or minor scale and get familiar with that, then move to D,F and the rest..
