Get Traction Waveform Free Daw, get Vital Synth free, learn your chords, keys, tempo and other key terminology, and basics. Then just learn as you go. No money needed for fancy equipment. I started out many many years ago with a pirated version of Cubase, on an old pc, now I work in a full professional studio. Start small, work upwards
DM me and we can do a Q&A or build a beat together
I learned everything off youtube, there is amazing videos on there. It can be tedious but you will learn a lot. especially watching the 30min-1 hr video with highest rating
By far, the most user-friendly daw is Studio One. Plus, it translates really well when you upgrade to industry standards like Logic or Pro Tools. It's cheap, can run on just about anything, and is easy to navigate. When I first started, I bought Pro Tools, but the learning curve was so steep I stopped writing for a while. I started on Studio One, wrote my first track that night, and was off. I upgraded to Logic a few months later when I had the money to, and Studio One was an incredible starting point. It taught me to do all of the basic things and helped me make music immediately. The only drawback is that with the cheapest plan, you can't record into it with an external audio device, so I just used Audacity and dragged it into the project, and it worked great.
I’d love to help you get started and truly dive into it. My rates are minimal, and I’d be happy to offer you a free demonstration class to show you what I can do.
If you still need help, just send me a message. I'm willing to give you a little beginner introduction to production if you'd like. No charge
