#Do you need dope album cover art?

I uploaded a pic I accidentally took while I was at a show, it’s just a blur of a silver pole with purple lights
If I’ve invested so much time and effort into creating the song and crafting everything around it, why wouldn’t I put the same energy into the visual side of things? The visuals are what can catch people’s attention and draw them into actually listening to the music. It’s worth giving it that extra push! Then again it might be that the song fits a very minimalistic album cover art, just dont think the album cover art should be ignored 🙂
When’s the last time u listened to a song on Spotify solely because of the cover art
Personally I never have done that that’s why IMO as a listener it’s not that important, most of the new underground music I find is from generated playlists or just clicking around or networking
So I focus more on those things
That's a valid point, and I totally get where you're coming from. For me, it’s more about how the cover art reflects the overall presentation of the music. When the visuals are thoughtfully crafted, it gives the impression that the music is more serious and professional. It might just come down to personal taste, but I think some genres place a higher value on cover art, while others may not because they know their audience doesn’t focus on it as much.
i get what u mean its personal preference ig
IMO it dont give the impression the music is good at all
like ima listen to the song regardless and if its ass no amount of pretty 3d renders or camcorder footage is gonna change my mind
Well there you have the answer to your question 😉 Wish you the best of luck with your music and if it is out would love to listen to it 🙂
