I'm an amateur music producer and wanna collaborate with someone. I just wanna make the best song I can make now even it's just for fun and looking for a singer/rapper. I've posted a lot on Reddit, Discord and other websites that I can post to join my project to singers and rappers. Many people send me DMs that they wanna join first though, after they say they will start working on the project though, 99% of them ghost me or just say "I'm sorry I'm swamped at uni" or something like that. I'm sick of it so I started to think about hiring singers/rappers and posted about my project. Many artists sent DMs that they wanna join but the messages are totally like copy&paste message that sounds they just want a job and they are not interested in my music at all. Even some of them don't read my post well and just send a message "I wanna join this project". I'm sick of it again. Literally these happened to me over 50 times.
Some on Reddit and professional producers that everyone knows said they have "friends" and make a song together, which leads their success. But I don't have, I can't have such a friend now so I'm struggling with someone who is serious at music and can have a collab.
Should I give up looking for a collaborator online and just focus on making remix that I don't need to hire anyone because it has a vocal stem that the quality is already great? I don't have any chance to meet local so I'm stuck in this problem for a long time.
