hi!! i'm a high school student who wants to get into music production early. i want to make synthwave type songs with vocaloid!! i would love any reccomendation for good daw's, and just any advice in general!! thank you!!!!11

There's a bunch of Daw's on the market.
Ableton, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, Logic, just to name a few.
In the end, all of them do the exact same thing, it's just the workflow that is different between them, and which one suits you best, is simply based on how your brain is wired.
The best advice I can give, is ignore opinions on the daw's and look on YT at the different daws, and simply try out the ones that looks good for you.

Cakewalk Next by Bandlabs is good enough, although both ableton and FL studio has free trial (with save and export disabled) so you can fully try them out.

fl studio can load the VSTI version of the vocaloid
if you have a problem loading vocaloid on you daw you could just use the vocaloid normally
