I am planning to buy a XLR microphone for my pc, but I cant decide which one to buy. The main thing i want to do is to record my acoustic guitar and maybe some other instruments like piano or saxophone. My budget is 150 euros. Any suggestions?

uhh I think your only option in this budget would be Audio Technica at2020

you can use the leftover money to get a pop filter and a shock mount because it comes with neither

oh you can also afford Lewitt lct240, it's not bad. Not sure if it sounds good on guitar

AT2035 which comes with a shock mount and pad/hpf switches, not bad

I think Brandon Acker uses an Audio Technica, probably a pricier model than these, but it should do well on a guitar regardless

Thanks. However, I think that 2035 isnt as good as 2020 for instruments

AT2035 is better since has more polar patterns, consider too Behringer B2 Pro. My opinion

I can recommend K&M as a brand, but you’ll have to check which model fits your needs. They come in different lengths and such

The people here have already given you some good suggestions, just don't expect any high quality out of that. You need to up your budget if you want good sound quality. Fortunately, the best budget options will depend on what kind of microphone you buy. For large-diaphragm condenser mics, the Roswell Mini K87 is the best, and the Austrian Audio OC-16 is a close second. Dynamic mics? Shure SM7B. (400-450 dollars)

I don't think that I need any better quality than at2020. I mean I will just record my guitar. I won't really see a difference by buying a more expensive one

but you can benefit from a multi-patterned mic if you decide to buy a newer one leaving it to room reverb

With that budget I'd get a SM57. The problem with the condenser mics is your room has to be good, otherwise you get way too much room nose. The dynamics don't pick up as much. The SM57 is cheap, and has been used on countless records. Its almost indestructable too. Use the money left over to sound treat your room a bit.

You cant really get the nicest one for that much, id end up saying like the shure sm57 i used em in micing up kits in a studio
