at first i didnt know it was done, the layers and stuff, i recommend watching videos about how some songs are made, for example Aiden Kenway and Perenponka beats

Choose a key, A minor if you're going Trap and want to keep it simple using all the white keys, then start programming melodies.
Some very basic suggestions that can be useful would be to create a simple, 4 chord progression first, then progam your melody to the chords. You will have 3 notes (if your chords are triads) to choose from in each bar of your melody, and it'll give the melody natural contour and progression. Listen to your favourite melodies as well, what kind of movement do they take? Do they move about a lot? Are they rhythmically simple or quite complex? You can copy the rhythm of any melody you like if you aren't sure by dragging the track into your DAW, matching the tempo of the project with the track and then locking in a 4/8bar loop point and programming under the track.
