i know the transit system like the back of my hand if you want help, but depending where you are within the city there will be no more than 2 transfers. likely you could cut it to one or even 0 by walking a few blocks. but definitely reccomend just leaving your car at the hotel because traffic + parking will be more of a pain in the ass unless you want to put stuff in your car before you go to the show
largely its all a grid so just take something north/south to queen or east/west to broadview and then just go straight from there and youre basically on the venues doorstep

i think you can take the UP express right to union or you can take it to dundas west and walk a block to the subway and then take the eastbound to broadview and then a streetcar south to queen and the venue is right there which is what i would do because i HATE union station
but travelling between the airport and downtown is pretty easy because its like the biggest airport in canada so theres tons of transit

I think UP to union makes the most sense, but only because Google maps would immediately tell you to get the king streetcar east it takes you all the way to the venue 🙂

I use to work for an airline. With all the hiccups and cancellations and stuff I’m kinda scared to fly anyway. Much more reliable to drive. Though traveling across half the country also sucks (◞‸◟)
If you want cheep flights. But okay it riscy. You can see if there are smaller airline that offer a standby option. That basically means that your seat is not held and will only allow you to fly if the plane is not full of people.
But this is most likely an option for smaller airlines which mean more hops. The more hops you have the more risky standby is.

Uber would be stupid expensive. It’s roughly a 5 hour drive to the hotel and the hotel is another hour and a half to the venue. Im thinking about renting a car perhaps but I’ve never done that before so idk if I’d get one in time and if I can afford it.

the way most shows work Nami is there is a time for doors. This is important time because it takes a while to get that many people into a venue, security/ticket/age checks for drink wristbands and stuff, also so people have time to buy merch before the show.
Then there's typically at least one opening band, sometimes two (we have 1). So show starts at 8 is when the opener goes on. Then you have the headliners who play
We tend to want to do as much as we can for audiences, so no guarantees but we often try to play as much as we can. So we'll be going on at 9 sharp I believe, but not sure how long the show will go, 10:30 is probably a good guess

also the queen streetcar is diverted onto dundas from university to broadview so if you get on and it turns: do not panic it will get back on queen by the time it gets to the venue
theres a bus running between those on queen too if youre getting on it around there or you can walk to dundas for the streetcar
