Thoughts on the new map; the lighting looks great, the vegetation looks superb. Some of the buildings look worse (like from a PS 2 game) and some look like show homes on a new housing estate. The parked cars look brilliant, and overall the architecture looks better. Oh, and the rocks look… weird.

By default lower resolution is on adaptive, it will lower it to try and produce the fps you chose. The button display is bugged for me, but you can still select it and read the thing on the left to see which setting it is on.

I don't know if it's a glitch or a feature, but whenever my gun is down below a certain angle, I'd say around 7 degrees, it teleports up back to 6 degrees when I open the sniper mode. My guess is the new equipment is the one causing this?

It took me a while to note this,but new castilla just doesn't feel right, it's a bit boring. The grass is a mix of gray and green and the bushes colors don't match with the grass, needs a bit more vegetation and color

I think the Alpha of the tier X needs to go to either 420 or 460. tier IX can stay at 400. tier VIII needs to go to 390 or 360. tier VII is fine, tier VI needs higher alpha as well. pretty shitty 180 alpha, and tier V is fine...

Then also the mobility, the mobility does need some fixes... The tier X is a knot to slow, jst 2 more km per hour would be good. the rest is quite ok. and the reload needs to be about 0,5-1 second faster for all of the tanks...

1. No, type 71 already very good. Tier 8 is fine at 310, if you think it needs that much alpha you’re not thinking straight. The tier V has 220 alpha not 180.

The mobility of all the tanks is fine, same for the reload. They’re already good enough without the stupid equipment, so you’re thinking in the wrong mindset.
@full mantle it’s close to being broken. WG nerfed it’s DPM to 2590 fully equipped so it’s not near as broken, but still that mobility equipment slot….😵‍💫

They are as great as can be. It's already a burden to play it with PBR on a low end device, imagine it witb even more HD thinga on it. I do agree with the Type 71, it's too strong in it's current state. Also, visual bug with improved gun handling, the gun depression doesn't show as 9, only as 6, the gun doesn't look like its pointing at you yet he shoots you

Only type 71 has problem. All other pbr tanks work fine. Also the texture maps are messed up. If you use medium graphics, the camo will cover the whole tank including tracks. So camo and texture maps are messed up.

I'm running it on pc and the mechanics all work pretty well, the server flow is laggy even after shutting down all background software. start battles with highs of ping 155 and fps 60 which drop to 100 ping and 25 fps during game play. most likely its internet issues not me and not you. it is not enjoyable game play. will keep trying to review it best I can.

I would at least improve the armor of the turret front, (The yoke wheel may be piercing) The point is that the sides cannot be punctured by special ammunition, which is 340mm, it hurts a bit when the turret is made of paper...
9 is good but has poor turret armor, or skew the turrets a bit at the front...

I'm participating at the test, the new aiming time is excellent, Castilla in PBR looks fantastic really love it 🥰🥰, new line is really comfortable whit new consumables. But I have one single problem, when I turn my type 71 in high quality graphics it turns into black ( in battle the tank lags and all turns in low quality...) ... maybe these new types of files are not supported for all devices...this is the only problem I found. However thanks for all the excellent work of tanks, maps ecc ecc to all the staff of wg's team🥰🥰!! Fix PBR of type 71 and this new update will be perfect .

To be able to distinguish differences you need to have experience in current state, right? In that open test you need to test new aiming, japanese heavies, improved castilla (and reactions?). Lets say u didnt go through jgpze100 line. If you test t7-8-9-10 tanks, then it will become sth else, not testing 9.0. People spend their credits (and sometimes waste them) to test them. Testing "new lines" (other than japanese for this update) doesnt really make sense.

What do you suggest? If we all can test tanks, will that really called testing? It is more like a trial phase, and the generated data will be meaningless. Also there will be chaos. We all "test" type71 which can actually destroy all the joy in random battles. There are so many possible problems, if you think about it a little bit more u will see the current model is better for everyone.

Yes, it is hard to find "tester" in a random match. And most of the training rooms are created from players who didnt speak english. They say stuff, i didnt understand and they killed me... Couple of random matches went well, we can check japanese heavy tanks strength and weaknesses together with some aiming tests. Of course after some point you needed to kill each other to end that match but i am kinda sick of seeing tryharders. I directly said i am there to check profile and try trick shots with that new aiming, but no, they went hulldown and try to kill you instantly. So i began to enter matches with my other (mainly fast) tanks to check aiming and armor profiles more. It is hard to "test" stuff even if you drive t9 or t10.

XxtLegendary1Xx some gold is required to train crew of japanese heavies as well. So "some" (not me) need gold as well. To be able to understand the differences, you need to test your own tanks (and japanese heavies, since the update is about them as well). I find it meaningless to test other lines. If you dont own them earlier, how can u test them now? WG can (and maybe should) block such stuff. Maybe they can directly give testers japanese heavies and delete all the free exp to prevent such stuff.

Sign-language kinda actions help a little even in randoms (at least in some battles) not gonna lie, but testing mid-tiers is really hard. I found some groups to test t5, t6 and t7. And i can check enhanced and and non-enhanced armors of each (also the tier 10). But testing t8 and t9 was almost impossible. I hope i will be luckier tomorrow. t9 is bullied a lot by tons of other tanks (people test tungsten vk and other t10 tanks a lot, i checked some to see whether they have these tanks in their account and guess what, they have no matches in their normal account) and it is hard to find players for t8.

The aiming is fine, there's this occasional jumping in between sections of the targets or buildings where i aim but they're very minor and don't actually cause any problems, only occurs when I move the aiming circle to many spots up and down, left and right, Castilla runs at 40fps for me and seems laggy, assuming it's the graphics, not a complain but the only part you can drown now is at the top left part of the river, down close to the enemy spawn and in the middle are very low so it's Hard to drown, would love to see it a big higher( the river) to add some difficulty back when moving through the water🤔

my laptop is brand new, very high end, but it only goes up to 60 fps. nonetheless, there has pretty much never been a time when i had any issues playing the game at that level, unless i have multiple games, streams, or browsers running simultaneously in the background. with this castilla map, however, it is impossible to sustain any frame rate above 20 consistently, and that’s only with a single player on the battlefield. every other map is fine for me on this test server, and can go at 60 smoothly. so can castilla, when i turn graphics settings to medium and PBR is off. still, players should be able to enjoy the full experience with such a strong device, rather than having to shell out thousands without any guarantee that the performance issues will disappear

So far all mechanics working fine. auto aim works but on pc I still prefer manual aimed shots. The game flow is better after turning down some of the graphics but is still jumpy in close combat situations. ping and fps up and down but not as bad as it was with high graphics. I'm using a Dell G3 with Killer so I do not fell the flow issues are on my end.

the bugs: there is a shadow problem with the type 71, display bugs at all times when playing, and for me that's all .

the advantages: the castille map has no problems for my taste, the japanese branch of the type 71 is a marvel (ps. good job), and the aiming mode no longer has any problem .

Actually found time to battle a little more. I am using a Dell G3 with Killer and a mouse, mechanics working ok , graphics ok on Castilla, but need shadows off and still have flow issues (jumping), more so in close combat with 71. Need to fix those types of issues , I should not have to lower the graphic so much on my system. Auto aim works, but better at a distance. like the new equipment choices, they work fine. The praise emojis are ok but I am reserved about the reporting. seems easy to abuse . A written complaint more like a ticket to be investigated seems would be more appropriate takes more effort and is less likely to be spammed. Just thinking! 🙂

in big boss, when you run out of the type of ammunition that you’re using, the selection menu will automatically switch over to the next available bullet slot. but when you die and respawn, you will still be using that second set of shells. this can confuse players when they come back to life as either the boss or a newly created denomination of minion. in fact, i was using APCR instead of AP shots for an entire heart, before finally noticing the difference

You should optimize tanks and map performance who have pnr quality. When aim some tank(s) who have pbr in far fps being normal but if I stick tanks I got drop (about 20-30 fps max) and it is really ignoring for my battle performance. Same for castilla map with pbr (can't even get steady performance even I discover map alone in Training room). İs it just happens to me or not?

If it’s not running well your device may not be powerful enough for it. For me, I have one of the newer devices and everything runs smooth on max settings but it does heat up the device noticeably. I don’t know how well they can optimize the pbr maps and make them run smooth but i expect it’ll not work too well on most devices out there

Maybe the issue is reflection and lighting quality because I play wot too and I played steadly mostly times (expect entering the bushes cuz their vegetarines is too detailed(!)). Anyways maybe they add lighting and reflection quality option or something

I think fv215b is op too much since is has already dpm, speed booster and 170pen HE.
I know fv has been long time shit tank. But it's not the reason why to make it too strong. It has 2nd best dpm on heavy, only less than 113. speed booster can make it chasing lt or mt. reactive armor helps it to hold the line and keep surviving for long time which it shouldn't be. Idk which role does wg gives to 215b but seems like 215b can do anything. With great dpm, high HP(evenmore with reactive armor consumable), nice mobility (with speed booster). It will smash the game again like 2019

@undone hound it doesnt matter this time it has less hull armor boz using reactive armor can keep it surviving for long time. Also consider it has 2600hp(using large sandbag and +hp in equipment). Every second it lives can deal amount of dmg. A damage dealer like fv215b shouldn't has such ability to survive too long.
imagine give 113 reactive armor as consumable? It will smash the game too. Boz it can take shoot and survive meanwhile dealing a lot of dmg.
Furthermore I don't agree with speed booster. I don't think it's good to give heavy such a ability to boost mobility. I will make lights and mediums very difficult.
A Fv215 using speed booster, in 15/19 second, it has same mobility as medium. It's ridiculous. Specially fv has same dpm and bigger gun.

I played some rounds today.. My conclusion for the first impressions.

TVP 50/51 it's nice to see the buff with 1.5sec between shells but mostly useless in the test server, probably very strong in randoms.

Fv4005, 2.5sec between shells 410 alpha with great reload is just insane good( it's just op)

Fv215b great gun, nice to see the buff, with 170mm Hesh,, it's going to be strong but since every other tank has good penetration it will be kind of balanced (apart from playing against light armored tanks)

Some points where i really ask myself what the devs are taking to come up with certain ideas: The buffs of the t57 and m6y: These tanks been already very strong before the rebalance but they got even stronger with their new consumables and higher dpms. Sure the T57 did lose quite some hull armor but is now better in hulldown which is in most cases better than hull armor. Leo: Why is there any need to give the most accurate gun in the game even better accurancy? I mean you have around 0.24 when equiped which means you get almost 0.15 when the consumable is active. This is for me beyond madness.
The Grille: Imo the lower alpha is way out of place on it since the tanks already hard enough to play effectivly and a lower dpm wont help it. I also do not like the alpha damage range introduced for the same caliber. Imo when you have a 150-155 mm gun your alpha should be 640 aslong its not a light tank. To make this fix value into a range of almost 100 damage makes it hard to be aware of the enemy damage output in a heated battle.
E100: The turret buff is nice and needed but to nerf the dpm by over 10% and reducing the hit chance at the same time will have a bad impact on the number of players willing to play the tank, ig something similar like it happend with the e5 is possible.
Maus: The turret buff is nice here too but the piercing buff from 246 to 250 is not enough nowdays. 2 years ago that pen would be enough but with the addition with more and more armored tanks like the type 71 it is just not viable anymore. Espacilly not when we take into account that this trend wont stop in the future.

I see the changes as quite controversial. Each tank will have ups and downs, tanks like the 30B should definitely not have taken such a harsh beating and others like 50B and 4005 will be played predominantly in certain circumstances. Other than that, I think it is useless to give the M6Y that intra-clip-boost, it makes it even more ridiculous, further enhancing the big gap between normal heavy tanks and heavies, that just push the meta into 1:30 min fights. I also refuse to understand the need for reticle cali on the Leopard 1. It already hits most of the autoaim-shots and works like a charm versus all meds and heavies against all odds.

However changing tanks like the 121B with better speed boost and the MLE 54 with tungsten shells and the sand sack armor further enhance the diverse playstyle and opens up new corners of the meta, which, in my humble opinion, is a great choice. Just like the VK 72, these tanks will get more attention and that's great.

Some changes are hilarious and ridiculous, some are really interesting and most of the changes I haven't spoken about should be considered to be good changes, say for E3 and 268 ect. I really like the idea of tweaking and twitching some stats and breaking out of the old stale meta, great work WG!

Ok a few critiques id say for the open test that i think should be adrssed balance chabges wize even though i know for sure this comment wont be taken into account and you wg staff wont really look into anything :

1. i dont like what the 140 has come to, not because i am used it but mostly because the light tank playstyle can only be acheived if the tank has a godlike gun since it doesnt have LT attributes, so i would say to bring back the old playstyle for the tank as its more suited and made the tank accually fun

2. the amx 30b change is a bit underwhelming, i understand that it is a collector vehicle but the tank has been released with heavilly underoowered stats , so i think a massive shift in gameplay or a buff/nerf compensation is need for the vehicle

3. the e4 buffd arent really worth mentioning and not really that impactfull fot the tank imho ( debatable )

4. the m48 patton should also be able to go at 50 kph

But the overall rebalance job is a breath of fresh air for sure, but since its a test server maybe we can see a second iteration of the test server with some tanks stats accually being updated

I love everything except the T62a accuracy nerf(a defining part of the tank is gone now.) and it isn’t even fun now. And all the German heavy’s alpha nerf especially grille. Wargaming has to take to acount that a dpm nerf makes a tank a lot less enjoyable when you experienced it in its previous state(t100 is a lot less fun now). T100 is balanced 100% but it’s just a big step down in fun. T62a is wayyyyy to inaccurate. It needs to be nerfed with that gentler. And grille was not even that good and they are nerfing it?! As for my experience so far, the big autoloaders seems to have gotten an extra shell while smaller autoloaders got a buff in accuracy or unload time where it was necessary. I've also heard a friend of mine say that this buff for the amx 50b is not really a buff but a nerf as it takes longer to unload, reload all the shells and you do less damage, although I believe the extra shell makes it Mode survivable against rushers

First starting with general changes; Heavy tank hp buff was good, after all they are heavy, they will have hp and for med and lights they lack of hp because they are medium right? Then nerfing engine of heavies, buffing mobility of mediums for flanking: There was a lot tanks that couldn't flankable and its really good thinking that happened. That way mediums can be more medium and lights can be more light. Grille's alpha nerf was not necessary, it is td after all it needs that 640 damage, but can't test that damages. Idk how it will perform. JG -hp buff -dispersion nerf - aiming time buff -checks buff, that all buff and nerfs cant discuss, its big tank and need hp, dispersion for that high alpha. E100 Why even buff hull traverse speed? İt is heavy after all. Cheek buff and reload time buff with alpha nerf. İt completes another alpha and reload. Cant say anything about that. Vk90: dispersion - , aiming + cant say anything about that. Hori: speed nerf and hull traverse speed buff, understandable. Leopard: HP nerf, +10hp more damage per shoot. I think it was not necessary. Obj 140 needs a buff in the open test, frankly they could have just given it this engine boost without making it too op, it was under average, and it really needed this hull armour. They should give it back the armour, let the speed buff, and remove the view range buff. It deserves it. It’s far from being as fast as t100lt and always had to be a faster t62a with lesser armour and depression

If that’s not possible, then , take out less of its armour than is actually taken. That’s way too much. T100lt is better on armour rn, that’s too much. If need be take out 20 horse power as well as the new view range for the old armour profile.

Other than that this speed buff is a great tank really needed its own personality. I appreciate it very much.

I am honestly disappointed in the changes. They are buffing tanks that were OP to begin with and nerfing tanks that were fine. The M6 Yoh, T57 Heavy, and Concept 1B are getting more buffs while the Grille 15, IS-7, and 60 TP are getting nerfs. Now, I'm not saying that it is perfect the way it is. But I think that there should be more time put into these changes. They feel like they are a bit random, not like there was carful thought put into each and every change. They are also completely changing tier 10 meta with these "fixes". This is going to throw off every single player that has already been playing tier 10. This somehow feels a bit unfair to me. What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Let me explain. I'm not saying that some of those tanks don't need nerfs. The IS-7 is too strong right now. But nerfing the mobility is not the answer. The armor should be weakened sure. But WG never should have touched the mobility. And the Grille is strong.....if you know how to use it. Otherwise you will get absolutely smashed in it. With the Grille the answer would be more likely to increase the reload. Not nerf the actual alpha. As for the 60 TP, I get that the armor is to strong. But again, DON'T NERF THE MOBILITY. There is nothing worse then having a fast(comparatively) tank to then have it be made a slug. Armor is more of an issue in my opinion. But I really dislike slow tanks. And again this is just my opinion. Not everyone will agree with me. But I still think that mobility is a no-touch(unless it's a minor change that doesn't make the tank painful to play) stat.

I was honestly very skeptical when the open test first launched. However, as I spent more and more hours testing the new tanks, I started to like many of the new changes. The IS-7 does not feel as bad as it first seamed, the 60TP still feels very good, the E 100 now seams like it may be even better for newer players with the improved armor, and the 4 shells that the FV4005 now has does feel ok. I still don't think that the AMX 50 B should a 4-shell magazine though. And I'm not exactly sure why the T57 Heavy, M-6-Yoh, and concept 1 B got buffed. Those tanks were already strong. In my opinion I would like to see the both the 3-shell and 4-shell guns as options on the FV4005, the AMX 50 B should remain the way it is, and the concept 1 B should not get a buff. As well, I don't think that any premium/collector tanks that were bought with real money should be changed. No matter how OP they may have been. Thank you for the amazing opportunity to test these new changes. o7

those are live test tanks, they're not part of open test

people. this open test is CLOSED. you cannot sign up for it anymore. if you had an open test account, the server itself is also closed

I can say for sure that many people don't find this nerf as appalling as these youtubers make it seem.
An upper plate nerf should even be unnoticeable as the tank is so low to the ground that the whole point was the hull down and that thing just as strong as before.
