Light tanks are bad. dont use them.
Heavy tanks are the best in my opinion.
High DPM tanks are boderline OP because with the incresed rate of fire of the big boss you can be unstoppable
so yeah, tanks with armor and high dpm are good. I dont really care of mobility in this mode

Also the panther 2 is a dangerous choice. It has a weak amorrack, so if a boss shots you in it, you'll just go boom.

btw, the ammorack of german tanks can be shot by aiming at the side of the tank, in the middle, right above the tracks.

No matter what you think, a light/weak med boss versus a heavy boss isn't nearly close match

But can pose serious challenges indeed when you have a light or medium boss, versus a heavy or super heavy ... and who knows what is going on with teams.

So you can end up stuck, playing with -10 points early on, for a guaranteed loss.

This mode is total cr*p when WG chooses a red Type 57 for boss and the green team get a T-54 light as a boss. It's more than 3.000 HP of difference between these two tanks. I had a tier 7 with 1.500HP which means that to cover the HP diference we had to kill 6 tier 7 reds. This is completely wrong and a total cheat. I' also add that a light as a boss will be more careful due to no armor so the chance to make damage is lower because of the chance of an easier destruction. On the other hand the type 57 was always frontline. This has to be corrected.

Bosses has certain roles. With the bosses help you can pretty much push to any amount of group and win.

Glass Cannon Bosses are unable to do that cuz they are simply so vulnerable.
-no health pool
-no armor
-broken tank parts (considering constant HE spam)

all you can do is simply sniping but while sniping you dont have any chance helping your team with your existence except having a gun effective as level 5 poisonus shot.

Regenerator is extremely effective when healing and protecting the boss.

Boss = 5 points if killed.

Boss has x5 (?) HP.

Healing shots do 1/3 damage as restore, and you can use HE without needing to penetrate shots - plus you can apply shield to block high damage shots and you have the healing Aura ability.

1/5 HP vs 1/3 healing factors means when you heal the boss's HP it is more effective at protecting your teams points than the enemy shooting at the boss trying to kill it and score.

To cap it off, you can effect all healing abilities while staying out of line of sight/fire from enemies if you play smart.

In terms of "dpm" (i.e. adding to your team's total HP), a regenerator played well has an extremely high level of efficiency. Most people cannot wrap their heads around this.

PSA: If you're a regenerator. Focus on keeping the boss alive.

Flipside- when you're the boss, you really want a skilled regenerator backing you up.

the only issue with regenerator is the fact you cant heal your self (your ability doesnt count, like seriously 29 hp, really?), the ability would be much better if you could regain hp from damage dealt like in mad games or burning games

There are some tanks that aren't fun to be boss in. Notably low hp and/or lighter vehicles. Enemy boss blast wave can just yeet them into huge HP loss / death. That's even if they're being played by a skilled player.

It's really, really hard to boss well if your tank has paper armour, low hp and no weight.

No. My point is NOT to prevent bad players from being the boss its to prevent new players with limited game familiarity. Ive seen "bad players" as you say with 40-45% wr doing just fine as boss due to their experience. However new players might ruin the game for everyone since they probably dont know what they're doing, resulting to wasted time in this 9 minute mode which is not fun to me at least. This is a suggestion for a feature, not a complaint.

How to deal more damage than the boss every time: when you get regenerator, just yolo it. Regenerator is pretty much useless (unless you're healing more than 3 mates on a regular basis and not just 1 rando...), instead aim for the catalyst, it's much more effective.
