Because they are, if your heavies and big guns are incompetent then it is done.
The maps are too small to make any actual play with lights and mediums or anything that isn't armored at all.
Have you seen how a deathstar is absolutely broken in this mode? Did you try playing a grille? Or a leopard 1?
Big guns and armored tanks absolutely dominate with no competition.
Do you know how easy it is to hold the enemy team with just an E100?
You playing good in a Lorraine proves nothing because you have a 20sec reload and can be absolutely annihilated or stuck in a position with it.

Oh i guess my phrasing is just off to what i mean then.
Firstly i didn't say batchat is good in this mode, i only won those couple of battles because the enemy team was extremely bad.
Second, i apologize for the bad phrasing. What i mean is they are bad as in being extremely situational and unable to make any plays unless allowed by the enemy team.
For example, playing and E100 can easily allow you to hold the entire area and easily stomp the opponent unless they all focus fire you but then the team would be vulnerable to mine.
Playing a death star allows you to completely block any push and easily punish mediums and lights who dare to make a play, and if you take it to the front it is even more broken.
I don't mean they will be unable to completely do anything. Just extremely bad i guess? Those are just 2 examples.
What do you personally think?

Skirmish would work better if they made maps specifically designed and balanced for it - rather than experimenting with using parts of 7v7 maps.

Vehicle balance also matters way more at lower player counts and on smaller maps.

Like 5v5 is a nice fun concept but logically taking parts of maps balanced for 7v7 and vehicles also balanced at the 7v7 engagement level, and shoehorned them in and expecting it to be the same balance wise as 7v7 is insane.

5v5 skirmish in Blitz is less fun because it is less balanced - while uprising etc. Has fun shenanigans to distract you from the imbalance there - skirmish 9s just you suffering more with a bad team and/or weak team tank composition.

Skirmish mode is the best for grinding extremely slow tanks like AT line, T28, T95 and German Superheavies.

This particular map in skirmish is quite imbalance in my opinion. When you get the north spawn or the non battleship spawn, you can literally snipe or get the enemy team easily due to better positions and terrain irregularities. If you're a Tank destroyer you can farm easily without getting spotted. I've gotten the battleship spawn at least 90% of the times and I've lost 2 third of the games.
