The way players are matched is different (usually matched against opponents of similar rating iirc unlike somewhat random in regular matches)

Plus, Big Brother, in the form of big tanks, saves them.And yes, this is the worst New Year's Eve in terms of resource and tank farming, and most importantly, the festive feeling where everything is designed for the player's joy. But here, besides the Christmas tree, the victory event, and the minigames, there's nothing else. Everything is overwhelmed by the desire to squeeze out the last of the players' savings, both monetary and virtual.

I hate wg for making the kpz 70 a tier 10
the entire point of german tier 10 heavies was for them to be super heavies with a lot of armor, decent firepower and a lot of hp, and ultra slow mobility

the kpz is none of that and honestly does not fit the general vibe of the late-ww2 prototype/drawing of german heavies

it's place in tier 9 was perfect as a cold war cancelled project

The servers seemed fine when I was playing a short time ago, but there have been numerous reports of problems on the internet in NA recently. You can diagnose the location of yours but running PingPlotter (see the technical issues section of the support website). Those results can be attached to a ticket to support to inform them and get their advice and assistance.

The Technical Issues section of the support website has links and instructions for the Android NetTesting Network Diagnostics app. Usually the problem is on the route to the servers and the route can be different for every site.

New player mm will match new players against each other when possible. Unfortunately, the lower player base on NA means that it’s not always possible. If new or experienced players can’t get into a battle quickly the two groups will be put on the same team.

When I was a new player I complained that npmm didn’t exist on NA. Ribblestripe (wg staff) replied when possible.

Personally, I think It sucks...
The event might be good for new players because of the free tanks but for older players like me who already have most of the tanks - it brings nothing!

The worst is that this whole thing screams "GIVE US YOUR MONEY!!!" louder than ever.

Before, you could at least use the gold you saved throughout the year.
Buy a box with a 10% chance for a snow globe → get a 100% chance for a tank → and if it wasn’t the new one, open 10 globes and boom: guaranteed new tank.
Usually, we could get the new tank using only gold.
In my experience somewhere between 50k and 100k gold... Gold that I could collect during the whole year...

Now? You have to buy boxes with real money only.
You get a 4% chance for a tank… and then you need to do that ten times.

In my case, from 30 or 40+ boxes I got ONE tank.
A Tier 9 worth 5k gold. Great.
So now I’d have to repeat this 9 more times — which means roughly 270 to 360 boxes total.

20 boxes = $60.

So you’re looking at paying somewhere between:

$810 and $1080
For in-game items.
For pixels. Are you kidding me?

Please, guys… don’t spend your money on pixels at this price.

And WG — seriously — if you keep treating us like ATMs, we will move to a cheaper alternative...

The main reward (GSOR the tank) is very pricey to obtain. But that’s always the case for new Christmas tanks, they will be on sale for cheaper sooner or later if you can wait.

That being said for the average F2P player this is arguably one of the best Christmas events ever since you are guaranteed a tier 9-10 AND requires a relatively low amount of wins so even people busy with their lives can complete it

But what about players like us who already own 99% of the tanks?

In my case, WG isn’t giving me any alternative to spend my gold.
I’ve saved up a huge amount — around 160k — specifically for this event.

I do not think it is fair to gamble on tanks You already have just to get that one GSOR specially with that many music boxes needed for it. The reboot charm introduction was just another cash grab in my opinion. I've been playing this game ever since it came out but i think I'll rather move on from it soon. When I do play regs I also get low embarrassing low damage games, sometimes you just get rushed or out flanked, bad day, ammorack or whatever, so I try not to judge.

I said I quit regs but that's not entirely true, I'll help out a clan member on occasion or play ratings for missions,, so yeah.

A much better but difficult target would be positive customer satisfaction surveys. Alright so after reviewing the video, I noticed that it doesn't show the highest current bids, which is quite a shame. Do you believe it will be eventually added so players won't be mindlessly putting their gold into something they could bid less for or not put their bids onto an item they know they cannot get? It could be a great thing to see (preferably anonymously) the current top bids on a lot to avoid betting on it if you know it is a bad outcome for you

This also goes for the way the gold is deducted right after the bid is done, it is a shame that the system doesn't take in account the current gold in your account, and ONLY if you win the bid you'd get your gold deducted.

The upcoming changes for January are fine except for the E75 TS and Skoda T27. Like what is the point of these changes honestly you are once again just changing things for the sake of change. Those vehicles are fine at tier 8 there are absolutely no reason for them to be changed to tier 9. I got my KPF 70 when it was released during the 4.1 Missile Exercise event back in 2017. I always loved that it was a tier 9 because I for one think that tier 9 is the best tier and brings more variety than the rest. Only for you to now change it to tier X and give it mid at best changes. I paid for a tier 9 and now you are changing something I paid for into something worse. And again you are doing it to these 2 tier 8s. I loved this game but these past few years you have been making me hate the game more and more. First you outright make tanks I paid for worse under the guise of "rebalancing" them. Then you put out these insane events where you would need to shell out an insane amount of money to get the main prize. Which funnily enough might already be a different tank than what was originally released. Hyping up a new tank just to make it worse in the future, like what you did with the Strv K. Nerfing crates so people will have even less of a chance of getting anything good from them. Devaluing gold by making almost every new content only available for money. Artificially increasing the cost/amount of things in-game like charms for example. Just stop changing tiers of tanks and let them stay as they were released. Also for Pete's sake can you actually just properly balance tanks statistics instead of focusing on gimmicks such as mechanics, consumables and equipment. I have supported this game for years with my purchases but now I'll reduce my spending and only buy the battle pass. Also it's so funny that you have the audacity to tell people to vote for Blitz in the labor of love category when you're actively trying to kill the game with Reforged.

I actually dislike this game quite a bit. There's very little I actually like about it... Past few days I just find myself staring at my garage after just a few battles, with my chin resting in my hand.

I know that it's more expensive now but it's still fairly affordable and kinda incentivizes me to play still and help with my clan missions. To be honest if not for my clan and the BP I might actually not even play anymore it's just not fun anymore. When I first played back in 2014 things were so much simpler sure it wasn't perfect but it was fun. But now WG is just too freaking greedy, everything is just about money. When changes were made to chat in the EU WG was asked about allowing it in training rooms. Iirc, the answer was that there were technical problems that prevented them from doing that.

Improving chat is something that they haven't given up on doing, but it needs to be something that might actually work. I expect that when they find something like that they'll let us know.

Making that change is simple, dealing with an excessive volume of toxic chat is difficult.

It's not just an EU problem, or a problem with any one group. NA lost its common channel years before EU did for the same reason: more toxic chat than could be dealt with by the usual bans. We haven't gotten it back. We managed to keep more of the battle chat, but it's anything but problem free.

The Char is good too, not played the 2 heavies but the obj 452k got buffed and I'm told it's solid now

obj 260 has no armour although it is a heavy tank, has god awful stabilisation so you'll end up missing most of your shots, alright pen rate (could be higher), gun depression as low as soviets do it
30B is good, actually one of my favourites, yet is VERY skill dependant and most players won't be able to do much with it
121B burns more than my chair after losing more than 3 battles in a row, it gets in flames at almost any front hit, no gun depression. It's like an all rounded but it is one of the most annoying vehicles to play on most maps

Char futur, TL-7 and Obj 452K are simply not it for the current state of the game, they get overpowered by pretty much any other tier IX vehicle in their respective categories

If anything it's more that the variety of vehicles we can get is very low and it's mostly vehicles that are often on-sale (121B is legit on sale 60% of the time)

I'm not saying it's a bad thing they give away tier IX's and X's for free, but it could definitely be a better way to do it, at least by giving more variety to the players and not put the exact same vehicles that are on sale most of the time

I kind of forgot which specific tanks were in the tier VII certificate, but as far as I can remember, the only SOMEWHAT playable one is the kunze panzer, the rest is just awful in the current state of tier VII battles

I'd like to express my opinion about the camouflages for the new researchable and collectible tanks, especially Tier 10. First off, the announced camouflage for the Project Murat is completely bland and seems to have been created just for show. Anyone with access to the other half of our game will have noticed the following fact about camouflages: for example, the 116f3 tank has an excellent camouflage! The announced Project Murat, which will be available for purchase (presumably free, of course), has a gorgeous camouflage, much better than ours. And there are plenty of similar comparisons. It seems that the best stuff goes to the companies that can make the most money, while the lesser companies will settle for what they're given. Just look at how many unpainted Tier 10, 9, and 8 tanks we have, both researchable and premium. It's something to think about.

Netease releases new items earlier than WG while WG keeps pushing the same old stuff and they mostly need real money to get them.

Wargaming should make it so that missles can only be fired in scope or that you need to have line of sight on the atgm, if not it should like fly all over the place. So it cannot be shot over hills because it is blatantly toxic

Instead of things like atgm wargaming should focus on something like a siege mode/mobility mode and a integrated 10v10 mode that isn't a event which is very fun for the large maps. And also ADDING GUN MARK GRINDING TO RATED BATTLES

Also fixing tier 10 economy would be very much appreciated making credits on tier 10 is horrible and ruins the whole reason to play tier 10, i don't enjoy other tiers as much and I dont want to have to grind a mastery every game to get a gaurenteed 150k credits or heck even a surplus.

I know wargaming won't bring back all chat (they still should cause its utterly stupid they still havent) but atleast enable all chat for training rooms, wargaming has yet to give ANY good reason to disable all chat in a place that is specifically made for people to chat and have fun. Make it so we can send messages to teammates after death, you should be able help people win a match. Don't punish the whole community for the few bad people among us and actually have a propper moderation system, if the game had the amount of moderation this server had there would be no reason to remove all chat.

War Gaming is so obsessed with the crew that they're never going to fix the NA server, and we're going to have this problem until who knows when. They keep giving me excuse after excuse in the ticket and offer zero solution to this problem. Honestly, this game is getting worse and worse. ☠️

You ISP may promise you a high maximum download speed but to get anywhere on the internet you will be using internet pipelines owned by companies who have not promised you anything.

To find out what is causing your high ping you'll need to run a diagnostic program such as PingPlotter. You can find links and instructions for it and other similar programs in the technical issues section of the support website.

The ticket showed I had to download 2 apps and an APK; in all 3 it was demonstrated that the internet was not the problem.
And not only that, but I changed internet providers 5 times, and the one I'm using now was contracted by a family member and is specialized for gaming; my own cousin uses it with other games from NA servers and... It works fine even in World of Tanks, only World of Tanks Blitz works, man, and I'm not the only one, it's just that the rest don't complain, they just suffer from this problem

There can be problems with internet connections that Wargaming can't do anything about. When they happen it hurts their business and keeps some players away.

Internet network connections work similar to road networks. You car may be fine, and you have no problems driving to to a school but there's delays when you drive to a concert. The school and the concert don't own the roads, and they can't fix the problems on them. Wargaming is in the same position.

Some connection problems can be solved or reduced by players, others can't be. I'm getting ping spikes from two overloaded gateways, and since my isp owns them, I'm hoping they get fixed soon.

The problem is with the NA server. I know players on the EU server with terrible internet (60 Mbps download) whose ping literally doesn't go above 100. The NA server isn't just a problem. It gets overloaded, otherwise it stops responding.

The server isn't the location of the current problems. I run frequent diagnostics, as do others. What I'm seeing is problems before I reach the server. Since we all use the same server if it was having problems everyone would be having the same problem at the same time; and that isn't happening.

But NA players are reporting more connection problems than I usually see. I don't know the cause, but it's not the server.

WG can fix problems with own equipment, they happen but aren't common.

Bro, those aren't even a quarter of the complaints. Spend 10 or 15 minutes in the WG groups in Latin America and you'll see thousands of complaints from way back.This problem has been going on for ages and they're not doing anything about it. I've been playing since 2021, I've known the game since 2014 because I used to play it with my cousin, and this problem has been around since 2021. You notice, right? Look in the game settings menu where it says "people connected," it shows 1700/900 on the NA server, and sometimes it's 2300/900.

I'm familar with that, there are Brazilian and other South American members in my clan. We chat about that and other problems. It all depends on the route taken from the player to the cluster. Cluster C1 is just further away than it used to be, and with more pipelines to travel through there's more chances of a problem occuring.

Also, not that many players are aware of that setting, but it's reporting something different than you think. The first number is the number on your cluster and the second is the number on the server. Mine right now is 2,697 on C2 and 7,306 on the NA server.

If the four are going to the same cluster they could be ending up on the same route and using the same overloaded pipeline. War Gaming support has the four diagnostic results for my internet connection in a ticket, and all four showed that the problem wasn't with my internet. Then they had me download an APK from... The diagnostic I had to install in the game folders, and again that APK, just like the rest of the applications they made me download, proved that it's not a Wi-Fi problem.

The literal response I get from War Gaming support all the time is "download this app and run a network diagnostic when it fails"And all they see is that it's not a problem with my Wi-Fi, and they haven't given me any solutions. It's been over a month since I've been able to play. 😐

I created the ticket in November. The first thing they told me was to try a different internet connection. I tried five different ones and had the same problems, which I reported. Then they had me download two apps. One was called Ping & Net. They told me to scan my internet connection when the problem occurred (they explained how to do it). I did as instructed, and it always scanned when these errors in the videos happened. I don't remember the name of the other app. Both apps showed that the problem wasn't with the Wi-Fi. Since I was still having this problem, they had me download an APK they provided and explained how to install it in the game folder (yet another app to check). Again, I got the same results. Then I went weeks without any response, so I got fed up and simply canceled the ticket. I posted on every World of Tanks Blitz forum in Latin America asking anyone with this problem to create a ticket and let them know. But we're still dealing with this problem, and despite many complaints, there's no solution. They just keep giving us the runaround.

I wouldn't guarantee that they could solve the problem, that's not always possible. I'd be concerned if your ticket wasn't being responded to.

Asking other players to submit tickets was a good idea. WG's business depends on players being able to connect and play. It's the kind of thing I'd hope they would be interested in.

Their responsiveness could be improved. That's been a problem for some time, imho, and was a factor in how poorly Reforged started out.

Since then there's been some real efforts to make improvements. The meeting between mods, cc's, supertesters and the devs that Tortik reported on was one such improvement #community-news message. (I was there, and Tortik gave a good summary of the results). The surveys they've done here and in Reforged, and the feedback they've given afterwards may be another example.

That's difficult when there are a million or two active players and a company as large as Wargaming. But at least they are making an effort to improve.

Steam online is around 5k, while 1 in-game server is usually with 10k people±, considering all the servers, it will be around 50k active in europe, ± same in NA and bit more in Asia. Would be around 250k total active at best

It's difficult to get really good public numbers for the number of active players. BlitzAnalysiz.com repeatedly checks the api data for almost every account ever created and found that 1.05 million players played at least one battle in regular mode during Update 11.13. (see link below). Note that this would not count players who only play ratings, tournament or fun modes so the actual number would be higher. (Bots and press accounts are also not counted).

There's various problems with other data sources and, as far as I can tell, BlitzAnalysiz is the most accurate and complete source. Steam provides some historical data but it's only for a single pc only platform (and most players use mobile devices). BlitzStars uses api's that appear to count only 3 of the 11 clusters. The data in Settings/General is very accurate, but is only for the player's own region and only one point in time.

Only Wargaming would have complete and accurate player counts.

If it's not an internet issue there could be other problems, such as a conflict with a background program, graphics memory, etc. You might try reducing the overall graphics quality in Blitz settings to see if that helps. Check the Technical Issues section of the support website for articles with other tips.

It's very possible that something changed in an update that affected your device more than it does most people.You can contact support to get their advice and assistance, but that takes time. If you are comfortable trying a few things yourself the problem might get solved quicker. The support website articles are there to help you.
