The server is EU_C0. I did the Pingplotter diagnose few days ago ( ping every 1 second for 30 min ~ ) and sent to support. With the end of chat WOTB battles just became irrational and vomit inducing. The people that say that the chat wasn't useful for strategy either had it turned off and thus never saw the strategy being used or play a couple of games per day and have zero idea of the game. I'm seeing mistakes happening that, at least on part, wouldn't happen with the chat on. Now, no strategy at start, no possibility of advice except that stupid and ineffective map ping. After destruction no chance to alert team of points or reds location. You just stay there helpless seeing bad players becoming even worse without the chance to learn. After over a year I'm not buying the pass, and with the introduction of those horrendous dino camos which will make WOTB a circus I'm considering disbanding the clan and leave the game altogether.

Cyrillic Alphabet is Not the issue. Also, most of the Players using those letters are Not Russian, but Ukrainian.

However: Punishing all players for the crimes of a few is just hilariously incompetent. It Shows that WG has no Intention of improving the game by making decisions like chatbanning all toxic people which would retain Chat for All others. Thats apparently too much effort for WG, so they push the chatban all Button instead.

Furthermore, what other games often Do, ie. Asking players for their Feedback, WG simply never does. To me at least, language doesn’t matter. It’s how you play the game.

It’s the EU server. You know, one of the most linguistically diverse places in the world, with several different languages? The only reason people communicated in English mostly was due to the fact that it was convenient, a common language most EU players shared. CIS players mostly use Cyrillic-based languages to communicate. Again, you had the option of ignoring them, or turning off chat. Instead of looking at yourself and what you can do, you blame some group of players instead.

This chat removal truly is something else. I hardly can express how insanely frustrating it is to be in a low hp medium against 3 tanks with a full hp E100 sitting at the back who literally wouldn't move while being unable to tell him to go.

For me the chat removal kills the last fun I had in regular and rating battles. It became just boring. I haven't played fun modes with the chat removed but I'll test it.

Being toxic and aggressive in the chat to your teammates often helped because it made them actually do something. If you were there to tell them nicely that "move" or smth else they wouldn't take it to seriously. Now the chat is gone you can't even tell them to move or help. They ignore quick commands cause their eyes are attracted to the tank they are playing.

Toxicity in English is just as bad as that in Cyrillic, the added bonus of me not knowing any Cyrillic languages is that I will have no idea if you’re swearing at me, or insulting me, and frankly I do not care. Instead there happens to be players who instead get angry simply because of a language.

Weird how APAC, which is a server which is in Asia, aka the continent of languages itself, doesn’t complain when they don’t see their own language. They instead realise that either A: this is Asia, where more languages exist then any other place on earth, or B: these are people playing the same game as me, just for fun and to pass the time.

I think one of the issues there was is the fact that before the merge almost everyone on EU spoke English when typing into the chat. So suddenly a wave of people not speaking English stood out a lot more than it would have on APAC server, where, as you say, they see not-their-language a lot more

So you got people that got toxic at the non english, non english that got toxic at the english, the general toxicity that's always been there with/from more people because there's more poeple on the server, etc etc. It has steadily been escalating

Most of the players are just too dumb to realize what “move” means. 90% of players just drive straight from the spawn and try to shoot the first red they meet. They turn only when they meet map boundaries…. Just count the share of games when German tier X heavies decide flanking or sniping is their best option…
Removal of the chat definitely made the game more dull, but it just reflects how little WG understands their players and how unwilling they are to explore more nuanced solutions. But since RU server merge EU server lost the last resemblance of “common language” was lost. It was hard already before to communicate since only part of the players knew English. Post RU-server merge it was impossible.
WGks argument for the chat removal reveals how little they understood the importance of the social elements; the occasional “Hy” and banter between friends etc. WG strictly looked the question from “battle tactic communication” perspective. It’s loooong time I have seen that happen. This is making of WG. They pushed players to tier X with XP boosters and discount vouchers. It’s impossible to have good battles with such a large skill differences. Like Champions League players mixed with kindergartners.

Hi, Mr. CEO of Random Number Generator. I asked the Bing Chat and the AI looked it up. English is the #1 as the most common language under non-native speakers. That is what is relevant here. And the comparison with Asia is difficult. On EU Server we got flooded with different languages now. Before server merge English was the language commonly used. After server merge it was 80-90 % the languages with Cyrillic language.

That's just frustrating for the player if he could communicate before.

Ok, I might agree that the educational value of the in-game chat might be poor. Although I don't think it's 0: for example, one could just call for a quick "follow me" or "I am retreating", small messages that could be implemented with the F<1-10> buttons (one more idea to explore?!).

In any case, WGs' explanation does not convince me, for multiple reasons:

• (sorry for being repetitive) Leaving the possibility of toggling the chat off would address the same goal for those who are annoyed by the "negativity and frustration", and leaves a chance for those like me who want to communicate (win-win situation).
• I never heard a single player suggesting to turn off the chat permanently, before WG decided to. It sounds like a problem concerning the service provider side, not the playerbase per se. Maybe if the "tons of in-battle messages" analysis was disclosed (its method), or at least its results (the stats), I could be more convinced.

The rebuttal is easy. Droodles does has no idea what “battle tier” is. “Battle tier” just means what tier tanks are allowed into a battle. In blitz, a “battle tier 6” game only allows tanks of tiers 6 and 7. Premium tanks like Pz B2 and Valentine II are the only ones now that are allowed into different battle tiers from others (e.g can never be bottom tier)

I’ve already read it. It’s nothing revolutionary. WG does use the patent, but it’s just standard game mechanics we’ve all gotten used to.

If you have a .5 chance to win each game and take a sample of 12 games, the chance you will win them all is (0.5)^12≈0.024%, but that's a little bit misleading because of the actual question you are asking. Thjs number is for looking at a specific set of battles and working out the chance you will win them all.

The more common situation you would see is you have a session of say 50 games, what's the probability that in the session you get a win streak of 12 (or more) wins. It's much harder to work out by hand but there's nice calculators online that can work it out for you (unfortunately almost all for fair coins so assuming a 50% WR but good enough for demonstration). For instance 12 wins in a row from a session of 50 games has a .49% chance to happen, so about 20x more likely.

It‘s a Bernoulli distribution (discrete) because you either win or don‘t win with a 50% chance (the winrate)

Although this is more an issue of combinatorics than probability because you essentially end up counting the amount of outcomes where you win 12 in a row (exactly, or 12 and more will make a massive difference. If you ask the probability to have at least 12 wins in a row at least once in a session of X games the answer is a lot easier than if you ask to have 12 wins in a row once and no win streak higher than that in a session of X games)

I've hung on to the tier 4 french Heavy, the BDR and I maintain an 80%+ win rate with it. I know its vs bots a decent amount. But my odds of doing 12 wins in a row with that vs with any other random tank I have (all between 50 and 60% win rate) seem way more likely

You don‘t use a continuous function because this is a discrete problem. If you assume a 50% probability then all outcomes are equally likely, that means all that remains is to count in how many of the outcomes include at least 12 victories in a row

Counting that is a bit tricky if you want to avoid checking every result individually. One way I know of is to create a recursive function based on the at most case and to deduct the other cases from it. I will send you the link privately as I believe that it might be considered an unwelcome plug here (due to it being a company website)

it's literally the only fun thing about that tank. why would you ever play this over an IS-7? the tank has it's place because it was made to be an autoloader. it has a mediocre hull, a turret with a big weakspot on it, bad premium pen, bad gun handling. IS-7 has all of the above except it doesn't have a garbage turret and it has a good hull while still having good mobility. plus it's like the only thing that makes the tank FUN. I'm guessing the reason behind you hating the idea of it being an autoloader is that your positioning is bad and you keep getting caught out by autoloaders. if you don't know how to properly counter an autoloading tank even in blitzs simple maps then that's a skill issue on your part.

It's all about getting better players to make good stats. Then it's easy to say whether the tank is strong or not, because the balance team look at the stats of the supertesters. For example, if the test tank has a good DPM and for those dozens of (almost) consecutive battles, the player has a similar or higher average damage per battle than the tank's DPM, then he can write them to increase the reload time or worsen the accuracy or something like that. This is not easy. I had to think for a long time what could be changed. What to give in exchange for a nerf or buff. What positions on the map is he best at, etc. And @undone pelican is right.

From what I've seen in the video, I'm really interested in the RHM legendary camo and similar stuff, and whilst I don't mind futuristic or graffiti style like on FV4005, is there any possibility to add Non-Historical filter like in PC WoT??

I live near Polish border, and I noticed some improvements, but still... I sometimes get ping and loss spikes, even tho my Discord which I have on second screen isn't reporting any issues, and I've seen a lot more players who have a complete yolo deathwish with Grille, RHM or 704, or sit at redline with their Tiger II, E100 or Sheridan. Which ruins the experience for me, and from what I have seen in my clan, here on server and also different server I have a feeling I'm not the only one who sees the issue or transferring the largest server onto one 4 times smaller (RU had 80k spikes while EU had 20k the days before)

Actually yeah, the foods do make sense because if your crew is all shaky, tired, and agitated from not eating well, the gunner probably won’t lay the gun properly in the heat of battle or it will take longer for the commander to sight-in targets at distance for example. An army marches (or in this case rolls) on it’s stomach. Every good commander knows that. And no actually it wasn’t “always” an arcade game. They started calling it that because people complained about all the non-realistic aspects which WG never intended to change/roll back. You just fell into that trap and over time forgot you were caught in it. That was the plan after all

idk, For the sake of the player base. i think WG should consider giving the old tanks in the game that still uses old consumables and provisions a chance to also use new consumables.

I'm speaking of things like Dynamic armor, velocity boost, higher grade speed boost, Hp boost, spall liner, etc. etc. Most tanks have this advantaged consumables while some old tanks still use the old boring consumables sets.

Maybe tanks with 1 top gun should start having alternative top guns too.

They aren't enough. Not every nation's camo is ported from WOT PC, some have only 1 type of camo per map (while others have more of them) and some just look plain awful (Soviet Summer Map Camo). The Hunter's mark & Motley trap which we could get from the Tiger I (P) & Tiger I (H) were good. We should get both types of camo: fictional & realistic. They should be included in the BP.

I understand some people (mostly teenagers) enjoy these "funny" camo because they found them illarious.. I respect their opinion and don't blame them.
Personally, and I know there are a lot of people who think like me, I do not like these "funny camo" at all (when I get them for free I simply put them in the bin) and I wish to get nice camo (legendary ones) who look like more realistics! There are some. I agree. for exemple IS7, T57, etc...
What I wish and ask in the name of lot of players is to give possibility to choose! As an exemple, I love the AMX 30. Did you see its legendary camo "Corsica"? More ridiculous it is difficult to find!...
Why not make 2 legendary camo? A "funny" one AND a realistic one? That's all I ask!

I bet if you add up the gold cost of all these silly camos for each tank, then translate that to real world money, the results would be eye watering. Imagine how much money you will spend over time trying to get these for every tank. There are almost 600 tanks. Let’s say less than 200 of them have legendary camos. Some have more than one camo though so we’ll keep the number at a conservative estimate of 200 camos. They vary in price based on tier, but let’s take a rough average of 2000 gold each. That’s about $7 after tax, rounding up. Do the math. That’s $1400 to outfit your pixelated fake tanks with somebody’s usually really crappy artwork. If you want to spend your time paying some hungry artist’s wages with yours, be my guest, but I’m tiring quickly of the concept over here. Keep in mind too, that’s just the cost of the camos. Doesn’t even account for all those tanks, crates, etc. that you’re buying, which are almost all more than $7 each. WOTB may be free to “play,” but it’s about a $10k game to “enjoy,” and that’s on the cheap side I’m betting. That’s a car, and not a fake little green one you can’t even drive either

Now wot Blitz is one of the less p2w mobile games. It's mega easy to earn and tank. Premium tanks are not op. Also the game has to earn its keep. Even though companies rent servers the cost is still very high. You probably haven't played WT where you have to spend a lot of money to get the highest tank and it still goes slowly. You have to spend more than a year playing a mega game every day for a couple of hours without buying anything to get there. That is my opinion

@gritty furnace That there is a mass of offers does not mean that the game is p2w. There are bids to make the game earn but they don't give an advantage in battle. There is no op of premium tanks. Most are inferior to the ones you can research. Before the economy improvements I had 2million credits all the time playing level 8 premium tanks and now I have a whopping 10million although I'm constantly spending it on something and playing level 10 tree tanks. It also researches fast after removing low tiers

Player skill maters more than the tanks ability. A bad player could buy a chimera and they will still perform badly. A good player could buy the T-44-100 and still perform reasonably well.

Yeah there is no floor or ceiling to what is considered p2w. You are either paying to advance through the game or you aren’t. Amount is entirely irrelevant. Why would you even defend the concept of p2w monetization? It’s pretty well regarded in the gaming community as one of the most toxic things to ever happen to gaming. It’s bad enough that even the US government has stepped in and plans to regulate it as a form of gambling, meaning it’ll legally be considered a vice. And @indigo blade , you’re wrong. Here you have monthly events where you can win new premium tanks or other good tanks simply by playing or spending more time playing. There are practically no events where you have to pay to get anything.

I probably read or calculated something wrong for the Dino challenge, but for the numbers I see I would believe I did significantly more damage on the 6th than the lowest listed person who did 24,815 damage.
This assumption is that blitzstars is accurate. With an average damage of 1810 over 29 battles I calculate 52,490 damage. 52,490 > 24,185
