So. You log into your account thru the offical website of Wargaming. You enter the WoT Blitz site, click on services, click on tournaments, and you will be able to see a tournament that lasts 10 days. You click on that, and you choose the youtuber you want to watch the stream from. And done. I think that is how the system will sense that how much you watched from the stream and you will get the stuff. The free crate thing was announced on May 3, so this might be the one to give ya stuff.
I found this out so I thought I share it with those whose wouldnt know it.

You can earn crates for exactly 90 minutes (1 per 15 mins with max of 6). So if you miss even 1 second, you can only get 5

There is 2 full working days before the Next tournament, I see the dates are 11th, 12th and 13th May; and possibly another half day before the stream starts. It's possible to change it if WG is fully dedicated. I can tell it is possible because I'm a techie person but they have to push the process with some dedication.
This is really annoying because it looks like WG doesn't want to give us too many containers and using dirty tricks to screw up the containers we actually get.

So sad this happened and hopefully WG fixes this.

Yeah that's the me who is very annoyed about this because as you know, watching a game stream in the office where your boss is sitting literally in front of you and also working is one challenge, which we are willing to face but not getting all containers is what pissed me the most.

Anyway, I got 6 containers in my account, so I would like to thank Wargaming for this and also you, @leaden belfry for taking this issue to the wargaming and getting it fixed withing 2 hours. That's awesome. I guess 5 minutes of buffer is good enough.

You know once you created an account you got the right to use that name in each server. When you select the asia region and watch the stream, you will get the crates for your account in asia server (same for eu and na). That is why you cannot pick a name even if no one uses that name in that server. You should have known that actually. Have you ever send a ticket selecting NA or Asia as your region? Same thing. Some might have accounts in various regions. How should WG told that? You expect them to say sth like:

1. If you have an account in asia server and want to obtain fan container to that account use this link: (link1)
2. If you have an...

@copper ore @twin pelican WG used to run uniform tournaments at first. Over time, he increased the varieties and styles. Not every game company can do this. For example, the League system is a must-have style and should continue to be done regularly (League must be promoted and relegated). Another delightful style is the double stage tournament. But here the championship finale is misapplied; The undefeated finalist should start the games with an average. If there will be a final over five games, it starts 2-0 directly, if there will be a final over three games, it starts directly 1-0. This is the fair method! I love all of the challenge mode tournaments and participate in them as much as I can. For me the less the better (1 vs 1 , 2 vs 2 , 3 vs 3). I also hope that players will be more conscious and responsible when accepting tournament invitations. Not every tournament works the same way, try a little hard to understand the explanations.

What I discerned from @brazen plover's statement, is that the league system (top 8, top 16, top 32) should be preserved, and that double stage is an acceptable tournament format.

However, in the championship grand finals, the team that entered the grand finals from the winners side, should have a point advantage over the team that progressed through the loser's side, in order to reward the winners side's efforts in remaining undefeated.

And then aside from hoping for a smoother tournament invitation system, tournaments with specific formats/regulations should have better descriptions?

I think the rule is more about if you leave of your own accord. The rules state that you must be in the clan from start to end of tour. As long as you were in clan at the tour end then you should be ok

Either way if the tournament had already concluded, then it’ll like just be treated as when someone left their clan right after a tourny, which several players have done. So I don’t see why it should be an issue if it wasn’t during the actual games.

There is no doubt more to the story. Yes Vent bounced on FD & yes that no doubt cost JON3S the game on that map. However, they were outplayed on Castilla & Faust and it was those games that lost them the final. Maybe the loss on FD had a psychological effect who knows. That’s CW. Had those 50B bounces happened in the decider then different argument, possibly, but 3 more games came after that so it’s moot really, well I think it is anyway

16. A Tank banning system is implemented in comp (each team bans one/two tanks for each spawn of the map simultaneously; both team don’t know what tank(s) the other team bans until making lineup; both teams may coincidentally ban the same tanks; still 7 v 7; up to 4 different tanks may banned in the first matchup; teams are not allowed to let the ban the same tanks in the second matchup)

E.g. First matchup: Team A bans VK 72 and Type in the first match up. Team B bans VK 72 and Type in the first matchup too. First matchup: No Vk 72s and Types in the first matchup.

Second matchup: In the second matchup, both teams aren’t allowed to ban the VK 72 and Type. These tanks may be used. Team A bans 60 TP and T100. Team B bans pre-8.2 E5 and 60TP. Team B is not allowed 60TP and T100. Team A is not allowed E5 and 60TP.

Third matchup: Team A and B are not allowed to ban the 60TP. The 60TP may be freely used. Team A is not allowed to ban the T100, but will be able to ban the E5. Team B is not allowed to ban the E5, but will be able to ban the T100. Both teams may ban the VK72 and Type in the third matchup.

This banning system is optional. Both teams may choose not to ban any tanks in the first matchup, second matchup, or third matchup. The tank banning system also comes with the balancing list I put out in the balancing discussion channel. 😄 The new comp meta would be very diverse after phase 3 (before phase 4) as there are nerfed view range pre-8.2 E5, FV215B (additional armor too), IS4, Kran, and Maus, nerfed view range current meta Hts (60TP, IS7, Yoh, Type, VK72, and VK90), buffed (+HP and + camo) TDs (Obj268/V4, pre-8.2 T110E3, pre-8.2 FV4005, improved Badger, improved Hori, improved Grille, Jg, and FV215B 183), and improved DPM Mts. Phase 4 would further nerf the heavies via a HT class DPM and mobility nerf (depending on the HT tanks obviously).

banning tanks is pointless, defeats the purpose of having a meta that shifts. also like Sherman said, people just play the next most effective tank and it doesn't change anything. except that viewers see players battle in less effective tanks

if anything, whitelisting a tank would be funny and could lead to interesting strategies made around that. again, not for official tournaments though

in NA's BPL (Blitz Pro League) and CWNA, there were stipulations that required teams to run a certain amount of tier points. each team got 68 points, and each vehicle on a team was worth as many points as was its tier was. basically each team had to run either 1 Tier 8 vehicle with the other 6 being Tier 10, or two Tier 9's and five Tier 10's

it led to interesting strategies being made. back before the Batchat was in the game, some teams would run an Ru 251 to passive spot, or a T34 to go hulldown and still maintain decent pen against Tier 10's. I also remember teams just running two T-54's and just having them go with other meds

i don't think I could support this change to official tournaments, especially since the game is balanced much differently now: premium shells do less damage, and armor has been made to be more resistant against -2/+2 MM. still, a fun change-up for player run tournaments if anything

there was also the debate between like, whether to give your worst player(s) the lower tier vehicles and just give up on them being effective, or to put the best players in them in order to keep them being effective

Idk what channel to put this in, but today in tournament i recognised again, that Blitz is missing a proper marking feature ingame. Eg. when someone wants to call out a bush to blindfire, cuz there is likely an enemy inside, it is not really possible. I know, and we use it you genius. It would be just much faster, to have markers than trying to explain, what you mean... On some maps it is just not possible to tell excactly the right place, cuz there are too many bushes etc....

Bushes are not objects, so you need to aim the ground somewhere near. That can lead errors (also so many annoying misleading notifications, because you know people love playing with those notifications). If you make a bush an object, then marking it or sth behind will become problematic. Also (not a problem in tournaments but in randoms) it will give pc players an adv since it is faster and easier to aim to a point and choose an action in pc. Since a feature wont be "tournament only", you should also consider those possibilities.

@opaque heart those bans doesn’t mean anything to teams that tried to achive something with being stick to rules now. You always had the chance to ban those teams from the first qualifying tournament but you did not. And if you would have done it, teams like R3TI wouldn’t be in top 32 now. Just want to say, the whole season is destroyed already and you are banning players now. I would just suggest you to make controls of rule violations starting by first qualifying tournament.

I guess both of us know that -1- played qualifying tournaments with nearly full russian team and just changed their players to the ones bought in EU in top8 tournament, or either i guess we both know that TTYTT and ILLUM had more than 2 players from Ukraine and Russia, since the begginning, so..

They can recruit staff members that can help them with the money they got from me by crates 😂😂 And there can be longer waiting time between qualifying tournaments, which will be also good for players because they can make training in that gap or can rest.

I feel like this method is insufficient - most teams and players don‘t use the ingame chat whatsoever let alone talk about spotselling and use discord instead so with this method basically nothing is prevented.

what is the reasoning for allowing anybody to participate in the championship? this way, a good team can qualify for top 8 and then have paid accounts receive rewards in the finals. why not fix the roster at the start of the season to avoid this, or another solution?

As you see this season very clearly, this rule can be bypassed very easily man. Make the teams like in money blaster and it will work. Let clans make 1 team and use it for all qualifyers without letting player change, then copy to final. But current way is not working.

The tournament rewards include credits and free XP as well. Which I know would be penalized. I assumed that was all, but it seemed a bit unusual for a 75% penalty not to include anything players actually try to fight for. Thanks for the further clarification!

i assume the decision was to collectively punish the team but not go as far as fully punish players that played cleanly throughout the tournament season. to punish an entire clan for potentially the decisions of one person would definitely be harsh, especially if said players had no knowledge of it

@opaque heart, how much of a say does the tournament department of wargaming have a say in balancing of tanks? If it does have a major say, what is your/the department’s opinion on rebuffing the nerfed 8.2 tanks (E5, 215b, Kran, Maus, Is4) back to prenerf status to give teams a chance at a more diverse meta? I’m not going to say the current meta is bad, but as we saw with previous metas if it lasts for a while it can get unnecessarily repetitive.
