Take part in Quick and Coin tournaments, as well as in the massive **Money Blaster ** competition with $10k prize pool per region.
Here are the details:

— The Money Blaster competition requires clan registration. The tourney will be divided into 2 parts: Money Blaster Open & Money Blaster Final.
— Several teams from the same clan can take part in the Money Blaster Open but the number of participants is limited. The registration starts on Feb 4. Teams will fight for Coins, credits, free XP, and the main prize—a place in the final tourney. 16 best teams will proceed to the finals.
— The Money Blaster Final tourney will be held in late Feb and will last for 5 days.
— Double Elimination system will be used. Touch controls only.

This is going to just be a slightly condensed season with massively worse prizes. The final stage itself is a whole FIVE DAYS for a 16 team double elim. that’s the same time any other Pro or Challenger tournament took when it wasn’t a round robin. So how are the places into this final stage going to be decided??? fyi, I was in the banned squad of REK3M last season. we were "banned" because one of our players said, "dog s word". it was reported once as a joke. EG on their side, were reported by about 10 people immediatly after saying what I imagine you remember was said. wg didn't do anything about that. Nah, I just realized that arguing with you would be probably waste of time when I see what you are trying to say here but whatever. Yes upsets are good but they are good in situation when some team is uexpectedly much more skilled than everyone else thinks and thanks to that skill, great teamplay or whatever, that team defeats as an mby unknown team some well established known team that everyone thinks is big favorite and proves them wrong by defeating them. I think that 6 is enough but I also think that less than 4 is really bad for any tournament with better prizes. And I strongly believe that having same 4 teams in top 4 every year is just right as long as they are actually 4 strongest teams on the field every year and its good thing when the best wins, thats fair competition.

basically WG pulled the rug out from under us and people are defending them saying "well they haven't told us everything yet". This shouldn't be an issue because 1 this shouldn't be happening so close to the start of winter in the first place and 2 they have bad execution in dropping this huge change but not giving us all the information. There is no perceivable reason to not drop the information unless not even they know everything yet. In which case they could have told us about not having winter weeks ago.

They did the same thing last year when dropping winter while everyone was preparing for spring. Its getting really annoying to say the least

You your self who I believe has played on a top team know that you plan around what will happen. If the meta changes so be it, but you come in looking for a tournament of attrition and you get who doesnt mess up the least over a short timespan is a very different thing. Also the rewards do matter. All of us know that the prize money is unlikely but the camos have been a long standing reward and status symbol for people who worked their butt off to get it. To tell us your killing the chance of getting that camo by swapping it out with yet another series that we have no clue whether will get it or not is just mean.

We now have to realise that no matter how hard we try to tell wargaming to ask the community or do things sooner they completely disregard the opinions of the players and believe their teams decisions are in the best interests of the player-base and 9 times out of 10 it isn’t. Here are the details:

— The Money Banger competition requires clan registration. The tourney will be divided into 2 parts: Money Banger Open & Money Banger Final.
— Several teams from the same clan can take part in the Money Banger Open but the number of participants is limited. The registration starts on Feb 4. Teams will fight for Coins, credits, free XP, and the main prize—a place in the final tourney. 16 best teams will proceed to the finals.
— The Money Banger Final tourney will be held in late Feb and will last for 5 days.
— Double Elimination system will be used. Touch controls only.

According to the poll, it is easy to see that most players prefer the winter season, no matter what the new tournament will be (although there is no complete information yet)
Many teams have trained to reach the top 8 or 16 to finally get their goal (camo, avatar, background, or money). So replacing it with the Money Bangers tournament means they have trained for something they have no idea about. I wish Wargaming had asked all the players questions or opinions before doing so.
Sirius said this is a tournament event and not a season, so you can not expect big prizes like pro camouflage, avatar, and background.

The poll is based on minimal preliminary data and a lot of presumptions. Pro seasons have been here for 4 years so yeah there’s backlash to changing it. However the blitz community is really good at only looking at the negatives. Not one person has said they’re happy to see that wg is still interested in comp and trying something new. The comp community is never happy btw so none of this surprises me

It’s amazing how harshly everyone is reacting when we don’t even have a full schedule, set up or even rewards. Everyone just assumes it’s going to be garbage which is part of this problem.

I think it’s worth pointing out that wg doesn’t answer to top 8 teams and in a sense they don’t have to. People will play regardless and if top 8 teams boycott, then they will gladly be replaced.

There is no reason to be so close minded to this when wg still shows an interest in the tournament scene. If the prize pool was a small amount of gold only, then I could understand but that’s not the case

Give them a chance to get details out and give it a fair chance. I don’t think anyone would be upset if their goal was to do $10k tournaments every two months

The same dragged out format with ascents for a month/s and then a week/s of waiting before top 8 which lasts for another couple weeks have become so boring.
Don’t forget that after every season there’s always hordes of people complaining about blitz comp not being worth playing cause wg “forces” you to play nearly everyday.

I don’t know how they’ve planned the year (if they’ve planned the year) but it would be really cool if what they were going for were 3 tournament “events” in place of winter, spring, and summer seasons with shortened schedules and then a normal season like we’re used to rn with long asf ascents and all that jazz for twister/blitz cup.
Im sure most people would rather only play 1 season where they have to play nearly everyday for a month or 2.
Having 4 seasons which are basically equally long is so tiring to play and the rewards for 3 of them isn’t even worth the effort you have to put in

I wouldn’t say that the money is a driving factor of playing blitz since I could probably roam around gas stations and stores taking all the pennies out of those cup things for the same amount of time as someone dedicates to competitive blitz and effectively make more money than if I won a tournament season

I would probably only argue that money is possibly the only thing of value that isn't just pleasure or acknowledgement of a reward that has only intrinsic value. Money is the only resource you can embrace from competitive area since the rest is strictly having to do with in-game prizes; camos, avatars, background. I respect your opinion, however with this new format it is better since there will be more rewards, not only monetary but also camouflages and avatars, wg does not rule that out, just like the wallpaper also now is when more teams arise to compete in this format so there may be something unexpected this season, not every time the same teams will reach the top 4 or top 8 there will always be new people willing to go further, and I have faith that all those who train and those who strive to be better have the same goal, it takes time, sacrifice and a lot of patience but it is the best there can be, feeling that everything you did was worth it

Every season should get a color coded avatar
Aqua for winter, green spring, yellow summer and orange fall
The border of the avatar has a call out to your finishing position, 1, 2, 3, top 8, top 16 and maybe top 32
Each avatar has the year on the bottom to make them unique and collectible
Finally, they’re permanent

You could recycle this concept and it wouldn’t really get old for a few years

I mean it can be like normal Camos, just some details changed to have a clanname on it aswell. For example the old pro camos, just with a little playername and clanlogo on the side or smth like that

an idea could be wg asks each top 4 team for a color scheme to be used in a team based pro camo and then they create a camo that is the same pattern but varies from color scheme per each teams request and so u would get a camo that is kind of like the cyber camos but their colors are based on what each top 4 team requested

For wg to specifically put the player name/clan logo in a specific spot like the side of the turret, it needs to be designed like that specifically for each tank thats all.

as players, we believe that the name of this competitive season as "money bangers" is irresponsible, because the name implies that the players are "banging" for money. this can come off as a sexual innuendo whether or not the developers intended it as such.

on a darker note, it is possible that there are members of this community who have been subjected to human trafficking and sexual abuse in the past, often for the sake of money. while i am fortunate to not have experienced such things myself, it is very possible that this new name for the competitive season can serve as psychological triggers for some, which is bad both for the community and for the game.

i argue that as a community, we have to be welcoming of all our members regardless of their backgrounds and life experiences, and this includes those of us with sexual traumas. as such, i urge the developers to reconsider the naming of this tournament season, in order to make our game a welcoming place for all. thank you for your time.

even though i can understand that the complaints about the "money bangers" name can come off as nitpicking or trolling, i still believe that it is a suboptimal name nonetheless. even ignoring the sexual connotations, it is simply unprofessional to name an official competitive season as such.

as for a possible replacement name, i don't think anyone would be upset if we simply referred to the season as "winter season" which is commonplace on the north american server regardless of the official tournament name. it is important to note that many tournaments (both in this game and elsewhere) that offer cash prizes don't actually include the monetary aspect of the prize fund in the tournament name itself, which leads me to think that it is not really necessary.
