unsure if you play these seasonal tourneys but if you get eliminated first day and dont move onto day 2. they lock you into the tourney and wont allow you to do qts until the tourney is over which is 3 days. So basically if you get eliminated first, you cant play qt for 2 days or more because of registration etc.

I really don't think face revealing is a good idea tbh. Many people don't feel comfortable with face revealing, and imagine what kind of "get back in the kitchen" female players would hear. I've heard many comments like that in my 6 years of playing blitz. And as many blitz players are toxic, I'm expecting a lot of "he looks like hes choking on a frog" or some nasty comments like that. Hopefully this doesn't carry on to future seasons.

There is a difference. There won't be 4 teams from the same region in the offlines, the camera will probably cause lags, ping spikes and memes. In the offline you couldn‘t really see the whole faces when the teams were playing, only the room with all members in. About the memes: The camera will be active for the whole tournament. There are always moment when you make a weird face but it‘s caught on camera. But also rage moments, family members come into the room or any other unwanted situation

Honestly like half comp players complain about blitz not being a an eSport because of the price pool the way it is scheduled the small amount of teams, RNG (ammoracks) and other things.. now WG fixes the matchmaking in possibly one of the best ways since comp exists makes the prize pool 200k USD split into the 4 different servers and testing systems to even reward spectators. The webcam can be annoying if you have personal problems with showing your face or some condition but if you want it to be an eSport I'd say this is a step forward in that matter. (There's still a few things to come like the Blitz Cup schedule but oh well)

First of all, I’m not arguing for myself rn, this is entirely based on the principle of not recording a private space such as a home. Doxxing is not the only concern that comes to mind when you force a person to turn a webcam on when it is being streamed publicly for anyone to see. There are myriad issues involved when you take a camera into your own home rather than going to a public space. A lot of them involve people not being able to go into a room by themselves because they live in a space that is shared. The big issue with this is that you’re going to alienate some players (or, more likely, their parents) and the level of competition will decrease. I’d rather watch the highest quality rather than seeing some people smile when they win.

However making the use of face cams compulsory in order to participate is unreasonable. Some players may not wish to live stream their face to the entire blitz community and make their appearance available to everyone. @muted ore @frosty nexus I’ve been thinking, once a set of battles is over the teams will want to use this time to talk over possible strategies in order to beat the next team, will the whole Webcam situation get in the way of this? Because if you go to a tie breaker match the time for strategy talking is reduced by a hefty amount, will we get an increased time between sets of matches to accommodate this? With this also take into consideration would it also mean the tournament will go for an extended period of time? Because if so wouldn’t it make far more sense to make the tournament happen on Friday night and Saturday night to allow the not only the players but the spectators who don’t work Saturday or Sunday to be able to enjoy this spectacular event in its fullest, I couldn’t imagine needing to play a tournament of this level, being so excited and full of adrenaline then needing to go to sleep at easily past midnight and then wake up for work Friday morning, and as my previous message will you be able to contract my boss about this event

I’m talking like once you play your set of games you have that time frame between the games, surely you’ll want to use that time to talk with the team and what not regarding strats, if they come into our vc and make us talk with them and interact with them in this time slot between the sets of games I can only imagine it could cause a disruption, and with what Knat has said, it’s a 2 minute delay on the Stream I believe
Once you play your set of games there’s a 20-30 gap between sets, that’s the time I’m talking about…

while i didn't have the issue of lacking invites today as fishy did, i did have some weird behavior with day 2's invites

for one, i bounced around between two different groups which was awkward

and two, as soon as the losers finals set i watched was finished, i was immediately invited to the losers finals of another group which was in the middle of its tiebreaker game

i would agree that some better streamer support would be great, yesterday i received no confirmation that i would even be able to stream the games at all. normally we are told who we watch, but for day 2 i was left completely in the dark not knowing if i would get invites

but anyways, ggs to everyone! it was a ton of fun to cast these games and thanks to WG for extending this opportunity to me as a twitch streamer

@muted ore I know it’s too late into the season to make any changes but just so you know the WR seeding structure for the PYS day 3 is the same thing over and over again, for the past three ascents this bracket has been the same (with some minor changes). So far id say the seeding/brackets for day 1 and 2 are really good but for day three I believe there needs to be a change. I’m unsure how it is for any other servers maybe it’s not as impactful since EU and RU are bigger but maybe for Asia they’re experiencing the same problem.

Unfortunately, if the "weight" of the teams does not change or does not change much and there are few participants, these situations can happen.

I think that will be hard to implement since teams change very very often so you can't give weights to particular clans. It is quite possible that a clan team in summer and spring season will be totally different.

Likewise, giving weights to individual players is also problematic since player A might not jel very well with player B who has a high seed but jels well with player C who has a lower seed. I think the current system is pretty good but could use some tweaks
