If this happens a 3rd time, im gonna try to reach out to someone that has personal contact to wg employees, so this can be addressed properly. Its not my job to report everytime i see people violating game rules, this should be Wargamings Job to not let this happen in the first place. And last time i adressed this except for a rename of the team, nothing happened. They even renamed themselves back to the racial slur. While i am not a wg employee and in no place to tell them how to do their work, i think this needs to be taken serious, so it doesnt become a repeadingly issue

Lets say there is a team with some people who have 65wr on TX (with 5k games on TX), but in that team there is also people with 80wr on TX over 1k games. Will the teams wr be calculated like:
65 + 80/2 (without weighing the battles played on tX) = 72,5% wr
Or 0.65 x 5000 + 0.8 x 1000/ (5000 + 1000) (weighted) = 67,5% wr

Well no need to change it actually. Most of the People that are eligable to be called professionals are by far older then the average Community. Lets say their age is about 20-28 or so. Yes there is also a lot of people who are younger or older then this but lets focus on this age group since it the one most represented in ESports.

In the age of 20-28 people are studying, learning a Job or already working a job fulltime. And because Blitz isnt good enough to make a living out of it, even if you would always ein every tourney first place, mainly now the people who are younger then that or people that dont have Jobs etc will have a lot of time they spend on Blitz. School isn't taking 8-10h a day, and sitting at home obviously takes less time. So while 20-28 age group people will obviously and hopefully stick with the important stuff aka. Jobs, University etc, those who got nothing to spend their time with are more likely to spend all their time into becoming a "Pro".

Its kinda a given that ESport Players are always becoming "no-lifes" rather said they always will have to sacrifice a certain amount of Time for the game. But the big difference is that for other ESports (for example CSGO) they make a living out of it by simply playing, if they win Tournaments etc its just a nice bonus. They do it as a job not a hobby. But with Blitz that aint possible and probably never will unless there is an Investor crazy enough to spend millions into a Mobile Game with mediocre player count and a very small presence outside of Russia overall.

Like sure you cN squeeze in dinner with the family before but that's it. No going out after. No real plans post school/work before. It effectively blocks off that evening for tournament game play... which is fine in moderation... but too many in one week is problematic.

this current madgames tournament is a disaster:

1. • a lot of teams didnt get an invite, even more didnt show up at all
2. • both streamers were assigned to follow a random team, both of which didnt even show up
3. • waiting for 45 minutes between battles is way too long
4. • making it BO5 for a fun mode is also a terrible idea
5. • making is last 2 days is also a terrible idea, for a game mode which is supposed to be fun

@frosty nexus hello, sorry to disturb but are you aware of this bug? Often the game seems to gradually lag with increasing FPS drops until it eventually crashes. This begins to affect tournaments as, for tournaments you must be logged in for long periods of time. This means that the game becomes overloaded and these FPS drops/crashes happen frequently, often throwing tournament games away. If you could fix this bug before the autumn season this is amazing.

Honestly I would look forward to a once a week mad games tournament. It’s so fun and refreshing to play with different tanks and having abilities to even further open a meta makes it so much for fun since were basically just having fun while experimenting what works and what will lead to the best experience

Especially in the offseason, it would be a perfect way to just have fun after a stressful season like autumn or spring

Mad games tournaments are a fun and refreshing experience. This game mode has so much potential to give a different approach compared to regular tournaments as it can feature tanks out of the normal meta in normal tournaments. There is also the fact that there can be more impactful tactical plays and quick rotations with the invisibilty and octane fuel. It can also serve as a perfect way to have fun after stressful seasons as stated by James earlier.

However, there are some issues with this game mode. Having it be a bo5 with brackets makes the wait times between games too long. For example, the games for the first day took longer than 2 hours for only 3 matches. This could be fixed with a quick tournament (QT) style format instead. There could also be an option to have multiple tiers of this game mode such as tier 6 or 10 (maybe do smth like QTs).

I hope to see this tournament game mode continue to be improved upon and be included permanently instead of just being a one time thing.

Just an FYI for the teams playing tonight - from what I saw on the Asia stream, the matches follow each other rapidly after the second matchup. On Brian's stream, he had the first match, then at the set time the upper bracket, then as soon as that was over the lower bracket and as soon as that was over the finals. So no waiting time between those matchups

It explains why the tournament description is weird about it, but yeah...

They are still fairly light vehicles in their tier. Panther II weighs more than most tier 8 heavies. Also tier 10 hp pools are much higher. Thats why you don’t see a dominant 7 Panther II invisible-ram lineup at tier 10 with Leos. Leos can’t one ram kill, probably not even against Sheridans

I think it allows for very different types of gameplay we see than normal - a larger variety of tanks being used and there’s more tactical gameplay like medic roles, and there’s chances of making game changing plays with things like the TVP to ram something crucial, or playing around with the invisibility, yea I think at higher levels it’s a good idea but not so sure if people will feel the same way it as you said

Ironically, tournament meta principle does balance out mad games abilities - you're all working with the same tanks with the same abilities ergo it is balanced. Some people are just thinking further and deeper than most. Agreed though perhapsWG should have surveyed people about this first... or given more warning... but I actually think it was a mistake.

You are describing increased complxity and variance - not imbalance. Same thingas with regular game modes, you must adapt your battle plan in relation to the enemy line up. BUT - in mad games - there is more variety and also higher risk and reward factors. The meta isn't settled. No one knows yet what optimum and likely combinations + coounters are yet because no one has played Tier X mad games tournaments.

Which is why it might have been better to have more MG QTs rather than going straight into higher level comp formats... because everyone is off balance and unprepared...

But I reiterate - I think today's tournaments being MG was anaccident by WG. - perhaps @muted ore can confirm?

Well I don’t see a reason why Wargaming wouldn’t allow one player to make multiple accounts, as for me, I have an account on the NA server which I had used for 6 years and now have an account on Asia, I live in Australia so playing tournaments on NA isn’t really possible as I work full time, so I’d imagine in your case it’s fine, I think Wargaming mainly is trying to target players who use multiple accounts in bad ways, as to rig games, send hate messages to others if they have a main account chat banned, I personally don’t think Wargaming would be against one person making or having multiple accounts as long as they aren’t being used to ill effect the game play in anyway
Other wise hundreds and hundreds of reroll accounts would be banned and deleted

Just to clarify, wg sees location as well as device ID. So if you move house, you're still playing on the same device, and as all your logins will then be from that location and not the old one, wg generally has no reason to be suspicious.
Now, if you're in Australia one moment, and then suddenly in Singapore on a different device, and then back in Australia again in a few hours on the first device - that's sus

A few things - yes I did get the rooms mixed up, which ended up being a good thing for my clan! I thought we actually had 10 players thus I was the token, as should be the case, but nope so I had to play in this tour. If getting the room wrong and missing EG's games wasnt stressful enough, I then had to actually play and still stream and im a nab! 😱 Thankfully we won the Grand Final and I didnt nab out too much

As for the rewards, this was merely a test to see if the reward system was going to work and where it wasnt working - in other words not to repeat the keys fiasco from last Autumn. It is not normal for PYS to get reward streams, they are normally the Pro Tour and main event, this year another BlitzCup, so dont worry when the tour gets to the stage where rewards become the norm I am sure you will once again be able to get the Fan Avatar 🤩

Maybe I wasnt clear earlier. PYS generally doesnt get any reward streams, they are normally reserved for the later stages of the competition. Yesterday was merely a trial run to see what issues may have come to light in the reward system so that those issues can be resolved before the actual reward streams.

Personally I see no harm whatsoever in offering such small rewards for a test stream, but maybe next time WG should throw a top tier tank, 1 Million credits and 20k gold and even then it will never ever be enough. Maybe not all of you here need 200 gold or 100k credits, but there are many out there that would like the chance to get their paws on such things and all they needed to do was watch a stream. Not only that, but WG dont actually need to offer any rewards for streams, they do it in order to gain more interest in the tours and as a side note the streamer gets views and subs and guess what the player watching may firstly like tours and secondly get some free stuff. I fail to see the issue other than moaning for the sake of moaning.

If they made a tournament for PC all the mobile players would just start playing on PC as well, and to put an example only 31 teams registered for the first PYS on NA, meaning there aren't even enough teams to fill the lower echelon tournament. Making a PC tournament would be pointless

It was supposed to be a thing last year too but they never used it. They bring the teams into a discord server and have them stream their face through discord. The only time it was applied was for interview at the end.

Tournaments are already WIPs. Adding more complexity and demands just for/to accommodate PC control exclusive players would be detrimental to the mobile playerbase.

Have you considered playing tournaments in World of Tanks?

Have you considered playing Blitz on a mobile device?

The list of solutions to your conundrum that are easier than to invent an entire new major tournament dynamic just for people that only play using PC controls is astounding.

Aaaaand yes. It's only really the seasonal majors this applies to as the majority of tournaments are mixed controls.

Okay, thanks for the answer. Well, those solutions you pointed out are pretty obvious, but if any of them would apply me, i wouldn't be here. World of Tanks is completly different game with different maps, mechanics, tanks, playstyle, bascially nearly everything about these 2 games is different. I just don't like that game, neither i know how to play it correctly. I tried to play blitz on mobile devixes many times, but my mobile device is just too bad to play it with good FPS.

It's just a reply, i think we should end conversation here, because even i see rn that it's pointless and probably nothing will ever change about PC players not being able to play pro tournaments.
