Screenshot then says that head to head battles are checked, but everyone lost 1 series and won 1 series of those 3. So then the amount of games won of the games played between those 3 clans is checked, there you and KORPI both won 3 battles. To solve this draw, we go back to the top of the list and look at who won the head to head, which was KORPI

@thorn shale no it doesn’t. It is only counting the wins from your three matches of the tied teams. The stg team won 2 games while r2k and korpi won 3 games in the matches. Since you are both tied, it starts at the first parameter again and since r2k lost to korpi, korpi advanced to the next stage. It is a sequence and it goes down each line like code. Loses were never announced to be part of the determination on whos team advances @thorn shale 2 games against stg and 1 against korpi - u didn’t need to delete your question

@muted ore hello, as summer season comes to an end I’d highly recommend for you guys to make a survey or some sort of feedback channel to improve tournaments. Another option can be you guys emailing each tournament player from each echelon a survey directly through the email they registered their accounts with. There’s many things that should be learned from this season like for starters the schedule of it, or the tournament formats like single elim, and sadly the unfortunate events like Rigging or cups being take away etc. I as a fellow tournament player want Autumn to be the best season for blitz, so please consider having some sort of way to get your communities recommendations or feedback so that way we as the esports community can patch the holes for autumn season.

The simplest solution to literally all of the tournament seeding issues is to seed off of tournament results.

1. Have a rolling average over a given time period (e.g. 18 months most recent) for each player, that is linked to their team's overall finish in a seasonal series.

2. The team's seeding is based off the average of all players in it's roster.

3. A minimum of 7x player scores above nil are required to seed a team. (I.e. a team can have max 2 unseeded players and still get seeded above 'nil')

4. Absence from a series = a nil value. A player average is determined from minimum 4 finishes in the 18 month period. If a player has less than 4/6 finishes in seasonal majors over the last 18 months, they score nil / n/a.

5. A nil value is aldo considered for absence or finish below a given finishing place (I.e. 32nd place)

6. Therefore, teams composed of at least 7 players with a top 32 finish in the last 4/6 seasonal majors (most recent 18 months) will receive a seeding/rank that can be used to facilitate match making based exclusively off the tournament performance of the players in its roster.

7. Unseeded teams are in a 'general population' and would be seeded randomly against and unseeded and seeded teams.

8. Additional "pre-qualification stage(s) could be considered for unseeded teams.
   ...

This data exists. It is player specific. It considers team ability as a whole. It requires 4/6 most recent seasonal major - which lets players take a break if needed. It rewards participation. It is flexible for rosters.

Why is it awesome?

I. It will more accurately seed top level teams and sort them out from the masses - based purely on tournament performance.

II. It will reduce instances of top tier teams roflstomping new teams in opening matches (time wasting for pros and bad experience for newbies).

III. It will better avoid the best teams meeting each other prematurely at early knockout stages.

IV. It would be much harder to impossible to rig/fix/abuse.

I really like that and do think it would solve a vast majority of issues that top teams have especially during the general qualifying. My problem is twofold with it though:

1. for good teams with newer players who don’t have enough tournament data, that would mean they would be seeded in with the general population and might negatively affect their chances of doing well in qualifying.
2. and much more importantly. I just have no hope that something this “complicated” would ever be implemented successfully by WG.

apart from the amount of seasons counted I agree with this, because you can change a lot in skill level over 6 seasons, it's too long of a way back imo, I do like the idea, I suggested the same idea looking one or two seasons back, I suggested it before spring even,

and even tho so many people are offering to help, WG doesn't want to share info about the new seeding or cooperate with the community, which would:

1. give them more heads thinking of flaws in the system and people who are experienced in writing the sorts of algorithms

2. make the community more appreciative of WGs work because then the seeding isn't purely on WG but also on the people trying to help, so people will be more understanding of flaws and will help as well if they notice flaws

if WG would have allowed people to help, give ideas or just properly communicate with the community the seeding would have been ready for summer and it wouldn't have an obvious exploit as we had with previous wr seeding which was blatantly exploitable

and this lack of transparency and cooperation is what pisses me off the most, because we all know it would be a better seeding system and it would be realised faster if the community was actually involved

Double elim could be good but the issue is that groups would have to be too small to make it last just one day. With 6 teams per group i think you can't do double elim, it would have to be triple but it would take like an eon to finish the tournament since teams go out one by one

At this point I've settled on the fact that WG are incompetent when it comes to tournament format and structure design... so we might as well accept that the seeding system will always be awful - whatever one they try to use...

not one bit. play on mobile if youre so interested in tournaments. there have been plenty of people that made the swap from PC to mobile. if i can do it, so can you. i play on a tiny phone you have no excuse. PC used to be allowed until it was proven that PC players just have unfair advantages over mobile (manual zoom comes to mind) and that limits a lot of people's access to comp if they are pushed out because they dont have a PC. this is how it should be too since blitz is a mobile game with some compatibility with other platforms. The fact of the matter is that its a mobile game. If you want tournaments on PC play WoT PC.

It’s simply the aiming, I play on pc and touch, and can say it would not be fair. No mobile game has competitive cross play with pc because the advantage is simply too big. I see you are arguing for separate tourneys however, the problem is wg won’t because they get no value from it. They already are somewhat cheap on mobile tourneys(proven with the online format this year instead of doing offline)

Manual zoom is a bit of an advantage cause you can snipe in better than mobile players, the aim assist on mobile is good but sometimes when a tank is moving too fast the aim assist can't track them going that fast so you will either miss or you will have to turn off the aim assist and for some players turning off aim assist makes it harder to aim.

I would actually disagree with that @steel shell, I think the auto aim on pc is terrible. It is just the normal aiming that pc has a large advantage over mobile. Mouse aim vs mobile aim isn’t even comparable, and that’s why no games have mobile vs pc cross play

Pc players don’t have to hold their device, mobile players do. And you can’t really do that without using your fingers. So really all fingers are being used by mobile players… It’s just two are used on the screen itself and the rest are holding the back of the device

So true. On pc you can look around, drive and repair your tank, but on mobile it gets way trickier to do that at once because you’re going to have to take one finger off to repair your tank. Albeit that’s brief, but it could still impact the game a little bit

If there is a PC pro tournament, you’d have to make a switch only pro tournament too otherwise it’d be unfair. It’s also not even close to unfair for PC players to have to learn to play mobile to play in the competitive tournaments on a MOBILE game. PC players used to be allowed in CW until there was a huge backlash because playing on PC increases the skill ceiling which is strictly unfair for anyone that does not own a PC.

I don't think it increases skill ceiling. Do I think playing pc makes it easier for me to casually 3k. Yes. Pc brings in the ability to bind keys and use everything more easily as well as having a huge screen to see everything possibly wanted with no issue. I'd seriously love to play comp on pc rather than mobile but it would be very unlikely and only happen if wg needed to revive comp that was dying due to lack of mobile players interested

Clearly it would give a huge boost to WG if they allow PC in championships because it would drastically increase the size of the event, and they know it.

So if they still stick to their vision (which is great) and keep it touch-only, its because they have solid reasons to do so.
-may be just the loyalty (its a mobile gamer after all)
-may be just the fairness (pc brings mechanic advantages over touch)
-may be technical issues (harder to make rules verifications on pc users)

So unless you have a game-breaking and original argument to discuss out of "it would bring more players" i dont think its worth to mention wg for it because they obviously already thought about it and would have done it earlier if it was the only key point

If you're talking about the "its not fair that some cant play because they have pc and no money for touch" argue, its not valid. Yes you can feel it unfair, but its not WG's problem and they already increased the fairness a lot by allowing PCs to just play the game. If we take your principle, then nothing is fair. Even in touch domain, there are differences. Some play on 6 inches phones with 30fps, meanwhile others play with 12.9inches ipad pros with 120fps. And wg cant do anything for it and its normal
