Never. Blitz is a mobile game and letting PC players play official championships defeats the purpose

Hello, I use VPN to play the game for better connection. My location is Pakistan but the game often connects me to C2 cluster so I need to use VPN to put me in C1 or C0. I’ve used this same vpn to play professionals before (blitz cup 2020 and twister 2019) but just wanted to confirm that there will be no issue.

This is a huge trigger already but finding the perfect way to balance the feasibility of implementation and effectiveness of one in ranking the teams accurately and reduction in the ease and extent of a potential loophole is what takes them quite a lot of time. Quite frankly, it is also something that is taking me to time to think and write a good argument on, while I'm also working on the best way to seed teams in tournaments.

They are using a sort of random seeding plus win rate seeding here, whereby in the case of n groups, n teams are grouped in one pot and their rank is randomly drawn. After randomly drawing all the teams in the pots, these teams are re-ranked accordingly to be seeded in different groups. 🤔

The seeding issue is apparently being looked into, but its proving tricky for some reason (no idea what that reason is yet). We have made it clear to WG that the 100% accounts need to be looked into because it is a manipulation of the seeding and they are aware of this issue. Thing is they cant remove the 100% accounts, because the PYS tours are open to all and thus you cant prevent players from taking part, unless they dont have a Tier X tank ofc. The only option is to find a work around to WR seeding, which isnt easy really

If I have already proven myself as a top 4 team consistently, why am I meeting another team that is my caliber 2 battles into the tournaments? Players/teams are "planted" into the bracket in a manner that is typically intended so that the best do not meet until later in the competition

Sorry to break it here but they are essentially the same problem -- win rate is not a good metric in ranking teams in a seeding. 100% account exacerbates the problem but it is not the root cause, as there are several other ways to "mess up" with the win rate seeding, be it intentional or accidental. We need a better seeding than the current one because inherently win rate is hardly a good metric to determine one team's ability in tournaments.

Personally I would make seeding which contains for example those facts:
-The clan has/has not been top8 (That would help with maddoxes problem -he has proven many times his team is worth even top4, why should he struggle to get even to top8

-WR, but it would have to be somehow calculated with the battle count

-last, but not least condition such as those major tourneys are avaible only for players with at least 10K regular battles

The 10K battles criteria wouldnt really work because it will exclude players, something that wouldnt necessarily be a good thing but having a limit no less than 100 is fair because the 1st 100 are only bot games. Maybe if the WR was only considered valid after 1k random battles this would remove the issue, because I dont know anyone with 100% WR after 1k of random battles. Any player with less than 1k random battles their WR counts for squat overall.

It's even more annoying if you are on the end of receiving a really strong team against you because of the seeding of other team, often forcing two potential top 8 teams fighting it out early and one of them getting knocked out early...

But if you consider using every potential advantage for your teams' benefit - then exploits whatever they may be are justified. Since it's a system we're talking about here, people which clearly are virtue signalling their honour and dignity by complaining about APA, SOULS and other teams abusing seeding, should direct all their complaints to WG and not to the team abusing exploits which WG refuses to change. I'm sorry to break your party here, but it is totally not random. This tournament is seeded based on win rate and we have the teams ranked in order. How the teams are placed into different groups is based on the strongest-weakest principle according to the seeding ranking. Go to Challonge and try to input several teams to generate a bracket, and you can see a pattern with the strongest-weakest principle. Let me remind you I can create brackets with good accuracy on the second day, as shown on my stream.

I know totally how the group stage seeding works, how the teams are allocated to face which clans in which group. This can be worked out and is not random. I am convinced that some other clans have already worked out this system and have attempted to tailor their team unfairly to their advantage.

I am also made aware of phantom teams with origins suspected to be some of these "other clans" too where they register teams that do not play at all in the tournament. I really hope that the creation of these phantom teams is not made for the purpose of disabling a top 8 hopeful's chance in reaching a top 8 by giving them a much harder run than other clans. However, it seems to be the case and if I further my investigation on this and that these "phantom" teams have been created and adjusted accordingly to disadvantage certain clans, I will not hesitate for further action. The action to disable a team is a blatant attempt in rigging.

What happened tonight on Fugit's stream is another matter. APA's second team was streamed live on Fugit and they showed no intention to win both games, only to yolo rush with the same 7 tanks and die. Don't get me wrong about using the same 7 tanks -- you can win with this lineup as a surprise move, as we have seen in various examples like _RES_ (or F-B-I) and E7. It is the attitude of the second team which should be strongly condemned, and is hugely disrespectful to other hard-working clans who was picked against a really tough opponent.

The current environment surrounding the EU CW scene is toxic, particularly some "notable" clans, and if EU CW scene is destroyed, I don't blame Wargaming for the s-show we all don't deserve to have, but a few particular clans that have blood on their hands.

I dedicate my passion to the eSports side of this game and I genuinely want it to grow. What is happening on the EU server really saddens me, and to a huge audience who feels the same with me.

I feel like, there should be rules that deal efficiently and clearly about these cases. Like having arranged match ups or even previously inviting people to play as mercenaries for your clan. Rules should be clear about the sportsmanship character involved in the tournament scene.

it's now been some time since WG tried to promote CW over regular battles and boring gameplay, now that they did so they need to improve the system, we went from 2 important tournaments a day to now ( hopefully 1 per season) 4 and the system remains the same and remains obsolete, and the result is the same (c.f the chat above, people complaining)
