It will be difficult to restore the clan and cups, but you could hand out the tickets to the new clan that the victims are in. I will be glad if Wargaming managed to backroll, and that could be a very important asset for them in the future. (They had a track record of successful backrolling, iirc they did it on Asia server for the stats of players, when at one point the stats for a certain time period got deleted due to a bug, and was restored c.a. some weeks later)

In terms of fair play, would be nice if the team could play anyway
They spent a lot of time and they definitely deserve it
@amaunet it depends if the leader got "hacked" or hacked.. if it was his fault (someone knew his pass, it is his problem for sure) but if he got hacked for real, what he could do? It simply happens all the time and even bigger companies like Activision are currently under the cyber attack

overall WG's stance is generally that it's people's own responsibility to secure their accounts and clans. It'd be nice of them to go out of their way to help EQ, but they're not obligated to do so

But look, the 9th clan didn't overtake the EQ, so technically they don't deserve to play preliminaries, so now it is only up to WG, if they want to play in 7 clans or in full 8
For the spirit of the tournament I would cheer to see all 8 clans, the competition on CIS is really interesting to watch
Edit: yeah.. it would be nice, because it can even stop things like this in the future, because let's be honest, this was intentional

I'm just worried if the attack is indeed outside of their ability to secure their accounts and clans, and if Wargaming couldn't do anything, we all should be worried about our account security in the game. As much as I want the victims to receive a good closure and compensation, I am as much worried to all the top 8 clans on other servers.

The eight strongest teams of the region will fight for their ticket to the biggest tournament of the season. The Preliminaries will last four days—October 5, 7, 9, and 11. During this time, each team will clash against the other seven candidates in a round-robin. Based on the results of the Preliminaries, the four strongest teams will continue to the Blitz Cup.

Regulations, format (aside from round robin, e.g. best of ?) and maps however are unreleased information, so I hope they shall be released in the near future

to be honest the kran wont change the meta that much. all it has is turret armor and gun depression, with horrible dpm, pen, and mobility. It has to be very team reliant to be good, so its definitely a 50/50 chance to be effective.

Yeah having info delayed like this is pretty concerning - exactly as assassin said, you want info about if it’s bo5 or bo7 or even bo9, you also want info on what opponents you face on what maps so you know what to train against who and what strats you need to put focus on etc, it’s all crucial things for clans at this level

We may see Realistic tournaments make a return, but game mode tournaments are very difficult to make, as many different bugs and such can form and it’s hard to play test a game mode tournament, so imagine playing in an uprising tournament and all of a sudden you lose all buffs after each life or you die once and you get beaned

This rule makes sense. Each team player must be in the appropriate Top Echelon clan not less than 2 weeks by the moment when registration starts. This is done to ensure participation in the qualification of the players of the top-8 clans.
The Player must be a resident of one of the countries bound to the respective Gaming Regions where the Game accounts of the Players are registered. Each team can content up to 2 players that don’t conform to this rule.

Hey yes I understand your point but my concern here is that multiple teams on EU have picked up players rather recently as for example VE1L got knocked out of top 8 but had many talented individual players which have now gone to for example LGN, RA1D, IMM0R who are all top 8 clans @muted ore.

I’m not playing in the professionals tournament this year, but participated last twister season and would be very unhappy with this rule if I were participating. My team (-MM) picked up multiple players from other teams who had dropped out of top 8 or thought that they had higher chances of doing well with us. Those were great, talented players who deserved a chance at playing in the Top 8 (and were important parts of the reason we were successful) and under current rules they wouldn’t have been able to play.

I would have been on board with the rule, with the original intention to safeguard clans from getting poached by others. However, that rule should have been released since the start of the season, not 5 days before Blitz Cup preliminaries. None of us are informed about this rule, and suddenly we have to change the roster and exclude regulars in the team.

So you play competitive tournament not to win, but just to get some stuff to flex with in randoms. YOU CAN LITERALLY get tons of camos from battle passes and numerous events. And how do you even play for 5-8th place. Making misplays on purpose? Honestly I don’t see which clans apart from 2 of them could be in top 4. I mean all other 6 clans have a chance.

I don't think we are all disagreeing with the new rule per se, but the timing of this rule is too late, which is unanimously agreed upon.

Therefore, I would like Wargaming to drop this rule, or at the very least, allow players who will represent the clan in Blitz Cup preliminaries to have played at least one Prove Your Skill tournament for that clan.

If such a rule was to be enforced, why not tell us two weeks prior so the rule actually makes sense? As always your justifications for the rule just seem baseless as well. At this point the players have basically become accustomed to such bad rules and ideas. Maybe you should listen to the entire community for once.

So many teams will now suffer, asia will quite literally lose an entire team in the top 8.
This rule needs to be changed, everyone should be able to play regardless of time, and if not then at least those who played PYS with the clan, they should be able to play.

The Camo not being universal is also kind of bad. Should be fixed, but the first issue is definitely more major.

Can you guys please make the fall season camo universal? It would only be fair because the teams that partook during spring season got both pro camo's and the avatar. Which is strange because the autumn season was arguably harder to make top 8 in than spring season because the rewards are much higher, in my opinion it is fair to give all top 8 participants a universal FREE to use camo since top 8 was very hard to achieve this season since the competition was so high.

If Boon gets a pass like that, so should CATS. We have two such members, they didn’t “hop” clans like WG thinks all players are doing and so they need to put in this rule. Some of them had no other options, one of them was kicked from their previous clan for basically no reason and switched to ours midway, and they will miss the prof tour because of that and the hours of effort they put in go to waste.

There’s a massive disconnect between WG and their community it seems. They’re treating this like it’s CSGO and not WoTB. Players aren’t traded here for hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is a small mobile game with small communities where players move around according to where they fit in.

Two is still too much. There shouldn’t be a limit at all. Again, the communities are very small and as it becomes apparent that certain clans won’t make it into top 8. Players shuffle around a lot because they’re needed elsewhere.

@thorn shale I'm pretty sure we are against this not because of the rule itself, but the timing of the release of such rule. Whether this rule should be implemented in the future or not is up for debate.

Yes top 4 should get their own special camo but 4-8 should get the old pro camo at least. Kinda like how every year WG updates the ratings camo and moves the old camo down a rank.

It’s honestly funny that the same people that complain about not getting pro camo also complain about it being recycled years over. Also, the camo isn’t even a fresh look. It looks almost the same as the middle echelon for spring seasons reward camo. It doesn’t look as good as the previous camos and it only comes on one tank. There isn’t even a different variety of colors on it like the previous camo as well. I see no reason to change it up, unless the 4 bottom teams get this one and the top get og pro camo.

@wheat kindle U know in blitz it’s not difficult to be pro. There’re games out there where you need to spend 12h everyday for 10 months to achieve something. Blitz 3h 4-5 days in a week and u r fine. It’s not much of an esport game, it’s a one time promotion.

The 2 week quaranteen is a good initiative, I support taking into next big tournament rules - to be announced well before the tour start. For next tour, its great to continue with the current cup system which seemed work excellent, it was not too strict while allowing some bad days but still enough demanding so it kept all top clans playing to the end of the tour. Remaining thing to work on is improving the seeding system.

I guess it will rotate back to the start again with a different tier 6, based off pictures of the new pro camos it looks like WG is going for 4 seasons rather than off-seasons so a 3 month loop of reward tanks makes sense to me
