For the invites, they should just be trying to do something that is transactional and fire-and-forget (from the team organiser perspective). I should just be able to press the button and a message wings it's way off to a queue... all you have to do then is have a web-service handling these messages. The fact that I am getting 'operation unavailable' messages the instant I click the button suggests they're not doing it this way (or that they can't keep the web-service up and stable)... after that the team leader's view of his team sheet is just a view of what's in the DB... refreshed automatically when things update it. This should be pretty simple stuff.

I can't think of a reason why the code that handles team enrolment should be any different between the two tournament types... what you're doing is building an object (the team) that gets thrown to the process that handles fixtures (worked out in advance for the knockout tournies or dropped in a pool for live team MMing in the quick tournies)... so if it works for one, why doesn't it work for the other?

there's a reason why those top names are top names - they play those super popular titles, which even all of WG's titles combined doesn't reach half of the popularities of any of those top names playing those titles. There's a few dozen steps wargaming will need to make if they really wish to make this game popular and as high as those big titles are. But as things are now, I doubt they have any willingness to expand the game popularity, as they are just slacking on the content, education on new players, and it's just constant monetized events that are short-term goals, poor player retention, blah blah blah. As for tournaments they're still struggling to deliver a robust tournament system (looking at EU server rn with their tournament system). Everything said is possible - but whether it's effective under this current game directed by the current dev team? probably not.

I flew from Malta to Minsk on the Thursday, was meant to land around midnight in Minsk but due to a cancelled flight in Malta, I had a 14 hour delay, slept overnight in Frankfurt airport and landed in Minsk at 2pm Friday afternoon..... WG picked me up via transfer, I had 10 minutes to shower and change clothes at the hotel and then I was in technical rehearsals until 10pm.

I slept from 11pm to 9am Saturday.

Quick breakfast.

First meeting at 10am.

Makeup at 10:30am.

In the chair rehearsing 11am to just before 2pm.

then we were LIVE FOR 7 HOURS 😂

I don't want to be a guinea pig every week to see if tournaments work or not. Just cancel tournaments for a whole week(or however much time you need), solve the issues (and be sure that they are solved) and then schedule and release tournaments.
Currently I am having 2 problems. 1st I can't see the people invited to the team. 2nd dismissed teams, still have invites siting in my inbox and these invites can neither be declined nor accepted meaning they just sit in my inbox and do nothing.

Tourneys should only be allowed up to 2 lights, up to 2 TDs, and up to 5 meds or heavies. That way, matches are more diverse, and troll lineups such as 7 T49s, 7 Foch 155s, 6 183s 1 Sheridan... god, imagine 7 Sheridans... are disabled

This may have been suggested before, but would it be possible to implement a system like R6S where you don’t know the opposing team’s choices until you spot them? I think it would make teams place more emphasis on spotting(countering the current rush meta) as well as open up more options regarding tank picks and strats.

Why the actual heck do there have to be 2 finals when there’s only 2 teams in the entire tournament?

Why does that even make sense? When it says finals, it should be finals. That was the same team twice and we thought we’d beaten them 0-2 fair. But no,there has to be another?
Technically, we also beat them more times than they beat us? Then how do they get the victory?

It doesn’t say literally anywhere in the tournament description that there would be two finals. And we only prepared for one. Because it says finals. And there’s only a total of one team to fight. What even is this

@alpine adder it's how Double elimination works. There are two brackets: upper and lower. Winners of upper and lower brackets face each other in the Grand Final. This case may happen only in DE and only in Group of death seeding. Since Gold Tournaments are training tournaments, we don't plan to fix it in near future.

@chilly terrace I completely understand that, this was my 1500th tournament battle or something, my concern is the fact that there’s a total of 2 teams, why should there be 2 finals then? When it said finals my team prepared for said finals and we won more battles than they did.
I’m not asking for a refund or a rematch or anything. The enemy team played well and did win 2 in the end.
But for one team, it kinda seems counterintuitive, especially when the overall score comes to 3-2.

Also why is Gold series best of 3 and silver series best of 5?

1. How it works: you were only 2 teams in DE bracket. 2 teams are needed for the Grand Final technically: one from Upper bracket and one from Lower bracket. That's why the Upper bracket final is necessary: to determine which team will be from Upper bracket and which team will be from Lower.
2. Because there is Double elimination for 4 teams in Gold series. It would too long if we used Bo5 there as in Silver series.

I would like to see a second round of tournaments for most regions. I would love to play tourneys, but I’m out of the house until 6:30 practically daily, therefore am lucky to get even 1 tourney a week. If we can even get like 1 tourney go (in PST) from 6:00-7:30, and then a second start at 8-9:30, that would be fantastic for anyone that works, say, a 9-5.

You would have to do bronze first. Bronze registration begins 1 hour before it starts. If you wrap up the bronze decently quickly, you can start a quick if registration hasn't closed, but you CANNOT do the Quick Tourney first. If you want to warmup, I would suggest finding another clan to do a few scrim matches with @molten hornet
