Well, in other esports there are stats recorded to display the success and failures across all teams. Like csgo or CS2 for any gamers in here who play the game like me. There are boat loads of stats that you can go back to ten years from now and even still there are some records from teams or individuals who hold the longest win streak, or teams with the most amount of trophies together, wouldn’t it be cool to see if blitz had something similar? Like imagine I could look through blitz comp history and see which individual player is consistently making grand finals, or which individual player has insane stats in games consistently. All we have is player tournament history and then streams and memory’s 😐. Can you imagine if vct for val or major for cs , or rocket league had the same? You wouldn’t garner any hype or attract spectators.

To give you a personal example for me in 2017 I didn’t even know about comp until I watched twister cup and watched blitzkrieg play and represent na , before that I was just playing the game casually and was actually following the unfortunate downfall of wot pc’s WGL. Blitz albeit isn’t the biggest esport if you could even call it that with the size of the community, but the game has some interesting storylines on all servers, some more interesting than others but just something to think about

Not a lot of people watch comp bc wargaming doesn't advertise it as much as they did for twister. What made the offlines different (and why people want them back) is because it forces wargaming to make a big deal of the event and advertise it. The most watched blitz video on YouTube came from an offline (it draws people in who normally wouldn't come)

People will watch and care about things the more hype is around them. If blitz tournaments were advertised in game for weeks leading up to the tournament like twister used to be, we'd see much more viewership

Also it's just cool to see all the teams playing in person and cross platform. While yes, most viewers wouldn't visually see the difference, they would see and feel the hype behind it which would make all the difference

Does watching man city vs arsenal have a different feel when they play mid season vs when they play in the final? Yeah it does, bc of the hype built around it, similar thing would happen with offlines

PRAMO family monopolizing made reaching grand finals easier but didn’t make winning grand finals easier. It was done by headhunting people with very good pub stats and everyone knows that doesnt always correlate to comp. If you look at even the extreme case (Twister 2018), we still only controlled 5/8 teams. This means there were still 30 very good players we don’t control when you only need 10 to form a team. PRAMO actually finished 1st and 4th in that Top 4 despite starting with 5 teams in Top 8, and this is because the other 30 did form 3 teams with their best good enough to possibly beat us
