To be honest, I agree that one. But to be honest again, I stealing kills for win sometimes. I analyzing the situation, If I need to steal kill for win, I do.

Also sitting and drinking behind is gives you less points. In my experience, Grille, 4K damage, 3 kill with sleep gives half points againts half damage 1 kill but active gameplay. That’s make me more fun. Argh. Low tier games aren’t good. In high tiers, even you lost, you have fun because of good rivalry. And seeing some points, feels like “hey I might be get wounds, but I am indeed a deadpool”

If you don't win, there's no reason to get points, the same as if you win you don't lose points. The system now doesn't reward people trying to win, it rewards farming, and a change to the system is required to make ratings anything other than an event for grinding, so point these flawed out is not useless at all.

Because rating points are based on xp not dmg. A t100 can have spotting and assist whereas a jpe can’t really move around.

The current rating each player has is only used to determine the amount of point gain, not who gain points on a loss. Spotting is relatively valuable (both on terms of xp and generally trying to win) so a T100 will be at an inherent advantage in terms of being more likely to gain points on a loss. They did the same damage, and one kill difference is very small, but the difference in potential spotting is very large. It's not protection or rigging, it's the same algorithm applied to everyone performance in battle.

Pick up not a heavy tank, except the t29. The armour of tier 7 heavies do not hold up in tier 8. Td can be a good choice. Light tanks still decent ones, meds can be quite hard, they don't have the best pen at tier 7.

There are many scenarios where the heavy who does nothing all game but sit back is deemed to have played the best despite contributing nothing useful to the team at all. For instance I can think of one battle where the reds had an emil 1 sitting on the meds corner on port bay all game, only getting two shots in. Rest of the team was in a 6v7 so obviously lost, Emil was the last one to survive, got another clip in then ended up gaining points because all he tried to do was survive and get damage at the end. Does this mean WG are ever going to look at changing this system to actually reward trying to win instead of being the last one alive and actively doing nothing useful for the team?

You see the impacts the system has in battles pretty clearly, especially at 5k avg rating games and upwards it's very noticeable that nobody wishes to move or put themselves at risk, and so draws are more frequent as well as boring and bad gameplay being everywhere and being rewarded.

How is it that me rating teammates are always hot garbage, even more so than in regular games?

Every game i play in a medium, me team is either afk, goes heavy side to do no damage or YOLOs the enemy meds and TDs and has their hp pool reduced to zero in a matter of seconds. It's so unbelievably infuriating.

You only get half the XP when someone shoots a tank you spotted

In order to be top XP amongst other players, you have to spot more than 5k (assuming the top player does 2500 with no kills)
Then again, since he's spotting his own damage sometimes, he's still gonna be better

That's a good question...at 3900+ rating in a Chimera, I am matched with an AT7 with win rate of ~40% and still in calibration stage. Next in line I have at the same rating, a tiger 1 with a rating of ~2600 rating who goes afk suddenly. In another instance I have at 3800 ratings a SP who refuses to move, snipes till the very end and checking his WR at ~45% with a rating of 2100. And I know that the total ratings of players on each side are summed up to bring the final matchmaking, but it is so wrong because it's not fair to the higher ranking player with such players creeping in every now and then

And I am up for a healthy debate on this to be proven wrong...just don't want to come down to trolling like has been happening. Quips get us nowhere but down together. Just FYI: 7 years in game with 51K plus battles and a decent win rate of 50.91%

That is what matchmaking has to do. For every higher rates player, there must be lower rated players to balance this out. There is nothing that can be done to change this apart from making queue times hugely longer, and half the complaints in this channel are already about queue times. It's entirely fair because it's applied equally to everyone.

see i have played many games with you (as asia server has avg 35 players online in queue we get matched often) and observed that once the game starts you start typing go here follow me and stuff, then raging if they dont listen. It breaks your own concentration on the game
about the unfair or imbalanced mm as you say, that is because we do not have enough players in rating queue, it tries its best to balance between who ever is available.

I calibrated as low as i could (1.6k) to see what it was like on the other side. At bronze (15-20 min q times btw), silver and gold you always get calibrating players to speed up q times. Also all the good ratings players already have the lorr fearless and and are no longer playing ratings other than camo so the skill base will get lower. As a higher ratings player I prefer a teams with lower ratings player than a team with all the pros, because you are fighting everyone on your team to gain points instead of trying to win. I'm so happy when I get a team where i don't recognize anyone because that's guaranteed points on a loss or a win.

I agree with that, yesterday I was playing in tier 10 on Castilla and all of us went med side except our Vickers Light who, went heavy side to snipe. He got massively insulted by the team

kek sometimes sniping is the right move, esp on maps like castilla which are very open
i went the classic td spot in my mk6 and got flamed for it, but i carried because i forced them back from pushing heavy side aggressively
esp dead rail, that td corner is so important that if no one goes there, ur throwing, went there in an is4 once and clutched for the team while doing 3k+

That's really not true, tanks like the Mk6 and especially the IS4 need to not camp to be useful. You can call it "clutching" and "carrying" but all you are doing is making it harder for the team to win then pretending you were useful when you get lucky

Sniping can be useful in the right tanks at the right time, but in general it's not
