when I was number 2 at one point, i was taking a pic every 5mins eventually got a battle around 33-34 mins

here's the pic. In NA there aren't a lot of players. When I dropped to 15th I got a battle every 5 mins. After you reach 10th its about 10mins per battle regardless of tier and higher every rank you go up. I've prolly spent more time waiting for a match then actually playing, it it hurts when I lose points.

You get the biggest points change around 3k ish points, so at very high or at very low points you gain and lose a lot less, even for bad performances. He happens to be at very very low points so it's hard to lose many more

Biggest difference is that your stats are not affected if you play rating
In rating you will meet better players than the players from regular battles and they all gonna have 100% crew and modules on their tanks

Ever since 4.0, when rating system changed to have a monthly reset, the front runners have always had low wrs bcz in order to be at the top, you need to resort to battle spam which in turn inevitably leads to a gradual wr decrease. It is something that comes naturally from being at the top

There are more players at t10, t9 seems to be faster sometimes, but you get bad t8s or bad t10s. It also gets slower the higher you climb depending on how many top players are on and what tiers they are playing (some players only main a certain tier)

Plan is to reach 6k and quit. I'm going to maintain top 30 to secure parts for the lorr fearless. I can easily maintain top 10 since 3-10 are close to each other in points but waiting 15 mins to play a battle is boring and worse when you lose points.

Top 10 is more like 99% in queue and 1% in battles. If you're lucky its 90% waiting and 10% battles. The amount of work/chores I get done in between battles is astonishing.

This 2 month season was kinda worth it, you get more parts than normal. It would take you 2 regular months in top 20 and 1 month in top 40 to get a lorr fearless (unless you were top 5). If you get top 30 this month you could get the tank in 2 season with less effort. You get 80 parts for top 20 on NA and 60 parts for top 30.

Well I would just worry about staying alive and gaining points. I mostly play meds and lights for this specific reason, everyone plays a heavy or td because they think it’s about armor and or alpha, whereas I focus on spotting and assisting.

I cali at 3.1k due to me not trying (lowest Cali for me ever), played a bunch for 5 days and got to diamond then played causally to top 10 then maintained the rest of the month taking a break for finals. Almost 800 battles 46% wr and top 10 as of right now.

There's a minimum xp threshold, it's how rating works, you gain points by reaching that minimum xp, usually capping gives some good xp, also spotting, and of course dealing damage

I spammed ratings to diamond and then grinded 50-100 points per day. Ratings is a marathon, but pro players are sprinters and can get higher wr, less battles and points on a loss more efficiently than I can.

well when you're playing tanks like wt/grille and other paper td's you rly need to know what u're doing with them and you have to hit your shots and almost never trade because they gonna destroy your gun for example with every shot and if u're using 1 repair kit your in big trouble, but if u're not making very big mistakes with them you will be making easy points(also wt is much more effective than grille because of the turet and less chance to be spotted)

It has it's downsides - i just played a match and there was this Lowe, camping bot (600 battles in total, avg dmg 477) dude stole 3 kills and dealt 1800 while camping on our spawn, he managed to get points. Just looking at your rating data, you will get a cammo for tier 10, but for tiers 7,8 and 9 you need 49, 26 and 6 battles respectively in order to secure a cammo for them. And yes, 50 battles is all you need per tier

2 month long seasons are wrong.

Most of the players at 5k+ ratings has literally more than 800 game in ratings.
Instead of rewarding by skill it rewards player by playing it.
For example: if we 2088/869=2.4
so since they had 2 month they can just grind. They dont have to play good.
but at second screenshot (5.4k one)
1205/200=6.025
so this means player performed better than the 6.8k rating player.

ratings battles are not accurate for rating players.

You are just so incredibly bad at statistics, which is clearly evident by your misinterpretation of the importance of point averages.

The first player has grinded to near 7k. Meaning they spent the good majority of their battles playing from 5.5k to 6.9k. in those battles you earn on average about 4 points per game. Once again repeating, the majority of his battles have a sampling of the low point earning because that is how rating simply works. The higher you go the less points you earn. And therefore average points per match will also decrease

In conclusion, most top players should have a small point average just because they have played a crap ton of battles in high diamond in which they only earned about 4 points per match

Ya and that’s my personal opinion. If u don’t have credits, then fair enough, but I’m just saying getting all the equipment could be the reason to winning a bit more of your games. +30% module repair speed is a good amount, faster at getting all ur damaged modules working again (except rack). Cool down equipment shaves 12 sec off ur repairs which is a lot, and 10 sec off adrenaline, speed and what not.

Tbh I don't find myself waiting for consumables that often, and I also don't find myself waiting for a broken module to be repaired either. I'll either use a repair kit immediately or its something like a viewport I don't hugely care about. It'll give you an advantage if you have them, but it's practically negligible and to equip it on every tank I'd play would be a fair amount I'd prefer to save for new lines without having to worry about nearing bankruptcy. My gut reaction is to not bother unlocking them when I get a new tank, but if I remember I'm not short on credits I'll fully equip them. I'd say about half my tier 10s will be fully equipped and the rest just 7/9.

I have to wait a maximum of 90 seconds for them, but I tend to not take 3 shots in short succession that need me to use repair kits because that's just bad play. I generally also won't expose if being permatracked will make me bleed a lot, so that doesn't matter if I have the equipment or not. It affects a tiny tiny amount of battles because it has to all be affected by one single moment being very slightly different. It's not a big advantage just because it's ratings.

The higher you go, the less points you gain, and the less you lose. It a way to put a soft barrier on the max rating that can be gained in a single season. In 6k+ for example you get only 3-5 points per battle

Also it makes no sense to have a system that acts that the higher you go, the more you will earn. If it was like that, new players would have no chance of catching up to the older ones because they would be unfathomably far up

Reaching 5k is not difficult depending on the player experience, its just that some players have a harder time than others (its the same for reaching 4k and even 3k). Losing more points because you are playing a lower league where people negatively influencing a team based game would be unfair. You gain points on how much of a positive impact you made on the game. The current point system based on win or loss in different leagues is fair (the higher you go the less you gain and less you lose this make it hyper competitive for the pros). Its when people exploit the new system of gaining on a loss for selfish gains to the detriment of the teams, I have a problem with.

(haven't seen that other than in random battles) at least pre 5k is pretty easy to win on loses, if you just do average and use your head a bit, so maybe youre talking about exploits on +5k?

Exploit as in driving to the opposite flank of the team(or camp in the back), wait for team to die, then magically be last alive farming the left over enemies and gain points. I've seen this in every league and and even pros do this.

Everyone in ratings plays to win, however the good players recognize when a game is a guaranteed loss, and that's when they stop going for plays that could win them the game, and start to farm dmg to save their rating. No one only farms from the start unless they're a bad player, because winning guarantees pts gain

Method I use is just playing against the meta, in the sense that do things ppl arent used to and exploit it if its working. Kinda disappointed by the new cammo. In the original gif wg posted, the empty hexagons, the ones that did not glow were black. However ... in the client those empty squares are a weird a mix of grey+purple and just looks bad

this has to do with the tank's camo map, and not the camo itself
it's what makes some tanks have more fading and less colorful camos when applied. you can see this if you compare old tanks with the newer ones (or if you look at chinese meds/japanese tanks, in comparison to the fv4005 or vk72)

WZ120gft has pbr and more or less looks the same with it, with the empty pixels just being ever so slightly darker prob bcz if the darker metal color (the chinese green). It's still nowhere close to what wg presented it to be.
