Op premiums are the meta for tier 8. They always have been. If you don’t use one, you’re in for a long uphill battle

You don’t use them because you’re not a good enough player, you use them to stay on a level playing field

Not everyone wants or has the tanks for tier x, but plenty of people have tier 8 premiums for ranked

Ratings should only be at tiers 10 and 8 in my opinion but since they allow 7-10, you can’t blame people for playing different tiers

people need to "stay on a level playing field" by playing op premiums because people would rather use an op premium over a tech tree tank even if they didnt have too in order to stay on a level playing field. thats why i honestly think premiums and collectors shouldnt be allowed in ratings, but wg wont ever do that since they would lose money from it. the main counter argument to banning prems/collectors is then tier 8 will be all emils and tier 10 will be all is4/e5

Play 10 battles. Based on your performance you are assigned a rating value. Winning gets you points, losing makes you lose points, unless you do very well in the lost battle. The amount you gain or lose depends on your performance and your rating, and the team averages. You get rewards at the end of the season for the league you are in. If you do 50 battles in a tier, the most played tank for that tier can get a camo if you end the season in Diamond or Platinum. You also get an avatar and some parts for the IS6 Fearless for being above 5k points, and a credit bonus for Gold league and above

autoloaders usually fire more shells, get more module damage, and do their own spotting often, so they gain more points

@jade flax Try out different tanks that u do well with. Some days my smasher smashed the enemies and some days my chimera is good. My tanks just hit different day to day. Also use relatively "good" tanks that arn't known to be trash lite the AT8, Tortious or Turtle mk. 1. Unless you can actually do good and help your team.

@fallen mortar ‘cos I’ve not really played ratings that much…This account I actually calibrated at around 2.5k on another it was 3.5 🤷‍♀️ I mean if you can buy a tier 10 Chieftain when the only tanks you have are mostly tier 1-6 then I’m afraid that the ratings points system means nothing!
Same as what I’ve posted before, you get the highest score but because your random ‘team’ rushed & died your score still goes down. It’s hardly a team game/battle when your team mates are chosen for you.
Also I’ve noticed that when the teams are chosen quite often the better professional clan players are grouped on the same team. Maybe coincidence, maybe not..

There's nothing about to do about calibrated, it's just about how much you play till can get dm from your calibrated point

All you can do is farm damage, on lower ratings it easier to gain points or lose less points when you lose, if you have high damage

The Tiger 2 camped the whole battle which is why he is at the rating he is at but WG decide to put him with higher rated players to mess up their game!
This was my very next battle! Plus abuse from two players that decided as because I was still in the battle winning then it was my fault their respective tanks got destroyed & not the players that got knocked out first!! 👌

I have not been at 5k yet, but I have never played too many rating battles either to date. Mostly because I am still grinding tanks I want to to Tier10 and if it's a Tier9 I don't keep them in the garage. It's either a prem, a favorite tank or it's get sold, unless it's Tier10.

Next in line to get above 4k is FV4205, I rarely meet this tank in the battle, is it that bad?

Yeah, honestly it should be reworked. It's just a blue camo with some red stripes and a text.. Not to compare with IS6 full camouflage. I observed WG last times makes not too special and expressive legendary camos like the yoh or E3 ( However I like E3 one ), except Jagdpanzer. Like Compare E3 and yoh camo to maus, jagpanzer, fv215, fearless or even simple ones like Bat Chat camo for example... Something way other, for these two they just dab with paint on a clear tank few times, add a symbol and its done...

Life won't wait for you; you either grab the chance of obtaining the tank immediately or let it slip through your hands. Diamond can literally be reached through battle spamming so please do not talk about not being good enough to get into diamond.

The only reason you want the fearless to be kept in rating is so that you can get it, and after obtaining it, your attitude towards keeping the tank in rating will change as you will want it to be replaced with another tank, which you still have not gotten.

They were going to replace the IS6 with the Lorraine at some point. They would have to cease giving out the IS6, and for that they needed to inform in advance. Some can be motivated by that to get the tank in the last few months by just playing a lot of ratings to get into the top leaderboard positions. Just because they didn’t do the grind earlier doesn’t mean they don’t deserve it. They get the tank while it’s not so rare, but they put in a lot more effort in a month or more than someone who has gathered 5 parts every month but never played enough to get to the top.
No matter how long they took to get it or how much time they spend, they deserve it if they get it through ratings.
In the end you just are impatient to get the Lorraine and you would rather get the IS6 removed while people still think there is time, and you don’t care about anyone else, so you’ll also say they don’t deserve it

lets see... the fearless has already been available for a 15 months. That, my friends, is an enormous amount of time. The fact that some people are only now getting motivated to grind is their fault entirely. WG announced on the RU discord like 4-5 months ago that the fearless will be getting replaced (in one of their Q and A) posts. In short: the warning gave plenty of time for people to motivate themselves if they truly wanted the tank.

About the lorraine, I could not care less. I already have a lorraine and don't need a second one. This conversation is based on the dumb reasoning why WG should keep the Fearless all while adding another tank available for rating.

Taking it away now and finding a way to cater to those people who got just the 5 parts every month, or just leaving it up for 5 more months so those people can get it? the problem with grinding early and getting lucky in your calibration is that when you hit 5k you take a half hour to get into matches and then you end up losing 70% of them anyway, so you really just have to sit there for a week and wait for people to catch up to you. That was at least my experience with being top 5 in the first two weeks of a few seasons

@inner tendon war gaming need to alter the scoring system, they match up the players & tanks so you should be rewarded if you get the highest score but because some of your ‘team’ of players weren’t that good or even off-line so your ‘team’ loses then your points should go down also !
Every ratings battle should be scored as if it was a draw & players ACTUAL performance rewarded or not accordingly.

You already get points. Simply doing the highest damage on a loss doesn’t get you points. But if you get a lot of damage, beyond a certain amount, as well as other helpful actions, you get points. But you won’t bother to remember when you’ve had that happen because then you’ll go after WG for not giving you enough points for losing
The point of ratings isn’t individual performance. It’s more about playing in a team. Winning should be rewarded more than just performing good even in a lost battle, or else everyone just plays only for themselves and doesn’t care to win

the last part of that statement is untrue i think. Winning is rewarded much more than performing well in a losing situation because of the number of points you increase in a loss as opposed to the point increase of a loss. For example, doing 5k in a tier 10 in a loss gets you about 12 points depending on the tank and base XP, while winning with only 2.5k in a tier 10 gives you more than 20.

they dont, i am currently in -MM clan and I can say that good players in the clan do not have better matchmaking. Usually what happens when good players call and the team doesn't follow it is they just go with their team and then the game becomes a farm fest with you trying to wrack up as much damage as possible knowing that you are pretty likely to lose already.

@regal cosmos there are players that enter ratings battles that have just bought a tier 10 premium tank when most of the tanks they own are up to tier 8 (just the one as I’ve seen) & that isn’t any good for ‘team play’!
What also isn’t good for team play are players that don’t understand when it’s a supremacy battle & the points/time system!
The mantra of ratings is, do the best you can to gain points, but that is rubbish ! I’ve got the highest score out of both ‘teams’ but ‘my’ points still go down! Hardly a fair system is it !

Why make people focus on individual performance in ratings more than winning? The good players can still do well enough with all the bad players that exist and will always exist. Ratings doesn’t need to give people a reason not to try and work with the team they are given. And it’s not like it’s hard to even gain points rn, so there isn’t a reason to make it even easier. Good players already go up faster in ratings and need to play fewer battles for that.
Where has it been said ‘do the best you can’. From what I see, WG have said in #devs-answers that ratings is supposed to reward winning, not individual performance. If two players do the same damage etc but one loses the battle, why should he treated like a winner?

T22 can't always be effective. It can be fall apart quickly in certain situations. If u r looking for efficiency, I would recommend u to use e5 or krav that is more reliable in terms of performance or flexibility.

Not when you're in diamond league, trust me. The amount of "Gold and under" players you see are brought down to near zero because of your high rating compared to them. Hence the extremely long queue times that always happen at the beginning of the season for Diamond players.

Let me clarify, this is how it's supposed to work. But because of the low amount of players in the queues, yes the MM will pair you with and against players lower than Platinum.

cammos: you need 50 battles in the respective tier, the most played tank in that tier will receive the cammo. The cammo will depend on whether you are in diamond or platinum league.

IS6 fearless parts are distributed for getting into diamond legue. The amount of parts for the tank depends on what position you are on the leaderboard and what server you play on

just checked your profile btw. You have only played 10 battles this months therefore it would be impossible for you to have a double calibration. As NoMercies said, you probably calibrated in the end of June and have now just calibrated in the beginning of July. Hope this clears the issue

A powercut will turn off your WiFi as well and not everyone has or wants to use data, as well as the possibility of being dead before you can get back into the game. I know several of my friends phones that die when 20-30% is displayed as being left, and 100 points and a half hour ban is extremely over the top for a simple mistake, especially when something like extreme racism gets you a short chat ban. Phone calls are often more important than a mobile game and not everyone wants to try and play at the same time. There's no reason to have such a harsh penalty for a single inconvenience to the team especially when there's so many reasons for it to happen.

I’d try to take a heavy to the medium side if you need to go there, or go with the heavies and try to rush that side

Generally it's best to go to where you think your team will get flanked from and stay very passive spotting anyone that tries to push. If they rush one by one maybe go try take them out, but if you are outnumbered don't bother shooting and try and rotate back to your team unspotted. If the red meds are spotted where the rest of the team is, you likely have an open flank to farm from. It depends on the map a little because sometimes your heavies will need someone to spot in front of them.
