So I have an idea. It mainly relates to the leaderboard on the website. So you know how you can search a players name up and the website tells you what rating and what position the person is in. Why not make it possible to research leader board numbers and for the website to give you an ign and rating points of the person that is in that position.
Mainly used for lets say, a person wanting to get into top 100 so they can get a specific number of parts for the fearless. That person will not know what is the current rating of the person with the 100 position and with the implementation of that feature the player wanting top 100 can get a goal basically

Concerning the relation between 'skills' and rating, here is the relation between carreer wr and rating for 935 players this season (EU server). The max ranked player was in 63313 position. So there is a sizeable amount of players going through the calibration process, at least...

It looks quite obvious that if there were leagues, the league of 'skilled players', say above 4k rating and 60% wr, would have a very small amount of players.

Hi All, I have two accounts on EU server, one with 50K battles and the second one with 2K battles. And I have found that there is very, very strange thing happening with MM in rating battles. As result, please see attached image - on old account I have spent 1.3K battles just to achieve brilliant, when on new account it was done in 280 battles only. Hey WG, what is going on there? One player, two accounts, two so big differences? Any thoughts?

You had a higher calibration on the new account and likely, you performed better because of the experience from your previous battles?

I assume that calibration's also partially based off of winrate so re-rolls SHOULD be scoring higher

There isn't a big difference at all lol, on one account you got a lucky calibration then spammed an easy tank to win in for 300 games, and in the other you got an unlucky calibration, played very badly at tier 8 and 9 and then had to make it all up at tier 10. You also played several different tanks to the T62 on the account with more battles which looks like it went worse as well.

I did calibration on both accounts on t62 and played on it on first on up to 4700 rating score. Then I was spent almost 300 battles without scores changed and started using another vehicles... Calibration was done at the same day on both accounts, that looks like a big lottery not related to skill - btw I have almost all crew skills researched on my first account, so it must be easier to play on it than my new account

Done some digging now too and apparently, it has been changed because there's a 2017 forum thread that mentions the same thing. It used to mention this

It has more mobility, some better dispersion values and more gun depression.
Tiger P is supposed to be the more frontally armoured tank as a trade off for the worse mobility, but it has too many weak spots to justify the trade off

I think the autoloader thing won't really apply to autoloaders only since it's a low damage, but high dpm situation. This makes any tank that does like 300 alpha but has a 3.5k dpm viable for grinding rating.

I dont think its the autoloaders, i think that any tank that ppl rarely play just gains more rating, and by chance no one plays autoloaders in ratings. I play my 62 (a fast reload tank) and i gain myb 10 on a win and 10 on a loss (at 5k). I play my 4202 and i gain like 20-25 on a win and only like 8 on a loss (also at 5k). I played my t57 some in ratings and i didnt see a noticeable difference, 15 on a win and 10 on a loss

You don’t ‘need’ an OBJ 252U (although I did use mine) you can play the Black Prince which has a good rate of fire or the TigerP which is pretty solid or the tier 9 Foch, I used all of these plus the Chieftain MK6 & got the platinum camo for them all except the BP.

if you thought about it for a minute longer you woulda realized the only thing differentiating normals and ratings isn't whether it's a weekend or not, but actually

1. the normals queue is always open
2. there's no points system in normals but there is in ratings
3. matchmaking is decided by average points on each team + tank type (in ratings) but only by tank type in normals

but really, only #2 is a concept

and #2 doesn't say anything about it being a weekend or not

You do notice a difference with different times and days which can be explained. During the day most adults are at work and in general adults are better players, and so the battle quality dips a little bit. In the evening it's noticeable to see more better players are in ratings as well. Same holds true for weekends as there will probably be more people playing then. I don't have any stats to prove this but it makes logical sense and fits in with what I have noticed on the average ratings of teams. My guess to explain cancrackers point is that there are more people so the mm can sort the players better, so you get put with people at your own rating more instead of put with higher rating people. Obviously this isn't a guaranteed rule, just a rough trend and it's something everyone else manages to deal with just fine 🤷‍♀️

Keep in mind just for the armour it loses a ton of other stats, that gun is horrible, the mobility is slow compared to its brothers and that lower plate is really large
