Not good. Toons are not a fair concept in ratings. Especially if you have two players in a toon one who is very high rated and one player is very underrated. Like if Prince and I were in a toon and he was 5k+ and I had just calibrated to 4k just going to mess teams up

A while ago I posted this message depicted in my first screenshot and a response was delivered as depicted beneath. However, it wasn't enough to quiet my thoughts. I would like to continue this discussion about rating battles, which I hope interests the community as much as it does me.

While I quite agree with the fact that the leaderboard isn't about the team, I still think it is appropriate to acknowledge the fact that Blitz is indeed a team based game, and that a player has to have at least some teamwork skills to properly improve.

In regard to the second screenshot, I merely wanted to point out that the rating system already rewards players for this type of teamwork, if only in the section that mentions damage assisted. This just shows that there is at least some precedent for my idea.

My point is that I believe this adjustment would not negatively affect the accuracy of an individuals rating, but would rather reinforce the use of some core mechanics which are already a large aspect of this game.

I do not have an answer for the second half of the reply, as on a loss, players will still likely devolve into farming damage at their teams expense, but I think that the positive incentive to win and survive on both teams would greatly outweigh the already stale bitterness of defeat.

Thank you all for your time, and I would love to hear some more opinions on this topic!

The only reason individualism exists in rating is the fact that the best player of the losing team gains rating score instead of losing it. Why play for the victory if you can just killsteal the entire game, be the last one to die and then gain some rating score? In that case you use the xp mechanics to out compete them on points. You essentially spot for them, prioritize capping bases, get dmg and kills. A camper won’t cap bases and you get the assistance from their camping.

In the worst case scenario you farmed so hard that you made it easy for the camper to win.

Nobody streams NA ratings as far as I’m aware. However Fatness streams and his gameplay can be adapted towards ratings.

The point of ratings is to perform well regardless of what team you get. The major problem is that you’re heavily relying on the team to win to get points.

Here’s my rating tips on how to get points:

1. Cap 1 supremacy base (cap/recap other bases)
2. Top Dmg
3. 1 kill (Focus higher tier tanks)
4. Spot assist
5. Track assist
6. Spot 1+ tank

Xp is combo of these things, so if you pick 3-4 to focus on every battle you consistently gain points.

im just telling you how to cheese the rating system like i saw the top 10 do personally my tier 8 lineup is the skoda t56 and 252u, if ur on a loss streak just pull out the smv cc 64 its virtually impossible to lose rank in it if you go hull down and do at least 2.3k damage and with its 3k dpm with rammer and adrenaline thats really easy 410 every 8s when i use the smv my point gain comes from bounces so i rarely lose points, and spotting is really important like ive gotten points for doing 2k from a loss when my heavies did 3.1k each bc i did the spotting and damage assist

Your rating winrate is below 50%. That tells me that your tactics don't help your team win. Before you say that you can't get above a 50% winrate, there are players who have above 50%. They just don't have the time to grind all day every day to gain enough points.

I honestly don't think you are a bad player, your random battle stats are good. But your tactics that work in pub battles do not work at all in ratings.

You could easily be number 1 with the amount of battles you play, if you just changed your tactics to support your team more.

The code updates players in chunks of 100 so it’s skipping the first 100-200 people, I’m working on updating to a newer version which will eliminate these problems. And if it works maybe add way more players.

Not really you’re 373 points ahead. If you divide that by 30 points a day, it takes 12 days to pass you if you don’t gain a single point. All you need is roughly 20-30 points a day to keep your pace.

If you’re second-third place you would need to double the pace of first place to pass. The only problem is that 2nd and 3rd are playing really selfishly relying on losses to gain points.

Ofc you and I both know you can easily tip the scales in the other direction too far and blow 3/4 of your HP for nothing
