Seems pretty reasonable that the guy with 3 kills got the points what do you even mean. Kills give a good bit of xp and almost no way you are getting points on a loss with out at least one so guy who did 3.4k isn’t getting points ever. Guy with 3.2 only has 300 more damage but 2 less kills so like idk what you are complaining about

Your point gains and loses are much more erratic at lower ratings. As you go up in rating the amount you can lose or gain goes down. So yea makes sense that if he is losing points he’s going to lose more than a diamond player

Blitz isn’t a skilled based mm like other games it’s an average based mm. It tries to balance out the average ratings of both teams.

Other games you go through a calibration to determine your league, then you meet people of similar skill level.

The only skill part of ratings is how many battles per rating score. For an example I have 300 games this season and I’m top 100. The person above me has 1,300 battles with similar rating score.

If you cap a base solo it’s possible. You get points for initial capture and more the base points.

I would think ratings also includes the points you earn after base capture. You can earn up to 1000 total so 300 is 1/3 of the cap xp.

You get 40 parts and diamond avatar if you get diamond at the end of the season. You need top 2000 on eu to earn more parts and top 400 on EU get the tank.

There’s 2 types of avatar: a temporary league avatar and a permanent wins in league avatar.

All rewards you get end of season on December 31st, except for wins in league avatar. If you drop below diamond at the end of the season you don’t get the rewards.

Here’s my rating tips:

1. Cap 1 supremacy base (cap/recap other bases)
2. Top Dmg
3. 1 kill (Focus higher tier tanks)
4. Spot assist
5. Track assist
6. Spot 1+ tank

Xp is combo of these things, so if you pick 3-4 to focus on every battle you consistently gain points.

I will add just play a little passive as well.

Naw you can play way differently with good players compared to bad. Can more confidently push with them or follow them into a push on a flank knowing your less likely to get wrecked. They going to hit their shots more reliably so you can rely on them to finish targets and not leave them alive to bleed your hp

I have an sughestion for improving ratings. After that change came where best of rhe worst gets points(wich was good improvement) i have notives that most those who have 6k,7k,8k points wont play for a win, they ait back and do damage collectin best of worst points ruining the game for others most of the time. And how to get those "top" plauers to play. Well what if after teams avarage points is 5k or over there wont be anymore points for best in worse team, that way diamond league does mean something as you really need to play and show your skills to win like a team. Dont know if i wrote this clear as my native lanhuahe is not English. But in short, 5k or above points and no more best of the worst points. @raw wren

I think the formula for the "best of worst" should be more about spotting and capturing objectives so it doesn't promote the camping for damage play style to take advantage of rating system, which is a good compromise

well its impossible to check if someone did play for a win or damage farmed, unless you got a good AI, which then will need to be specified what actually is "playing for a win", imo the rating system needs a big rework because now it is more based off luck and persistance than skill

well theres some faults, like how in 4999 rating the "best of worst" works, while it doesnt on 5000 rating, same as your teams rating shouldnt make you not get points, because i often get paired with gold leagues, in my opinion it should be almost completly undependent on whether you won or lost but whether you did good or bad

I wont mind that, what gets me when you get closer to 6k and you start seeing people camping with t100 and just farming dmg to get that "best of worst" points only, and these players arent playin for "skill" they just gather points, most cases they get more points by losing than winning. Sure i could camp also and just take points that way but its boring, grinding 5k-6k games that way is extremely boring

The old mm gatekeep platinum players because it put 4800-5200 together all the time so if you don’t have the skills to deal with strong players you couldn’t reach diamond.

New mm optimizes for time in queue. Basically in old mm the less diamond/top players on the slower the mm was for everybody. Now players with enough time will meet weak players if there aren’t enough top players.

This inflates the bottom diamond players who would have never reached diamond. But it also inflates top 100/250 which makes it competitive.

Tbh a good player in the pre nerf tvp would do 3-4k average but the normal player base average 1.8k or two clips.

Or the other two NA example is to go to the opposite flank of your tank class, or camp in the corner of spawn and complain how bad teams are. Both are top players.

@dev team: I was thinking recently of a potential rebalance to the Rating battles rewards system that could revitalize the gameplay from exceptionally selfish and toxic, to truly competitive.

My idea is this: simply add in additional rewards for each team based on the number of allies still surviving at the end of a match. In my opinion, implementing this new bonus opportunity will encourage players to employ more advanced tactics like HP sharing, and reward teamwork better overall.

I am sure you have probably heard ideas like this in the past, but in case you have not, please give this one careful consideration, because as a PC player who can not engage in the competitive tournaments, rating battles are the most competitive sphere I have access to outside of regular tournaments. I would really appreciate teams that are more invested in each other, and not just focused on improving an individual score.

Rating battles are no longer a team game since the introduction of points for good results in a lost battle. Players are more cautious and prefer to save hit points as long as possible to achieve the best result. Your proposal is not very reasonable considering the mode in which it is to be implemented. Additionally, it would cause winning teams to gain more points and losing teams to lose more.

I think a better proposal is to bring back a similar military honor system back to ratings in a form of rating emotes and you get points for positive emotes.

For an example the 3 positive ones are team player, effective player and sociable (can change that to great communication). (There was also lucky player.)

You get 1 point for each positive emote and if you reach 4 emote or more than half the team you get 6 points, 5 you get 8 and from all 6 teammates you get an 10 additional points.

Just an idea in my head.

Edit: At the top level you are earning a few points per game. Getting additional points for being a positive player would boost the good players.

Of course, the current event brought back more people to the game, ratings included, and we all know that 90% of the blitz population isnt really good at the game so getting the max base exp during defeats is comparatively easier

At lower point marks a win typically gets you more points than a loss would make you lose in average but once you re high enough it starts evening out as you wouldnt be able to claim more than 2 or 3 points per win

There are less top players playing, they mostly gained points really fast then quit.

That mean teams rn are usually one 7k person and a 6k person with gold/platnium/low diamond teams vs two 6ks and the same. So if you lose your competing against the other 6k+ guy for points.

They gave a bonus code from the stream, and I noticed team quality went down after that. Me personally im not touching ratings until the 26th.

did they change the rating system? cause it kind of seems the worse my game is the more points i get, like an average game, 3k dmg 1 kill got me +22 points (3.35k rated both games), while i got +8 for 3.5k dmg and 5 kills

I thought I will never reach 3k again because I was barely at 3200 3 years ago and I dropped to silver not long time after calibration with the old rating system :'D Nothing is impossible if you work hard enough to achieve it!

after reaching diamond this season I just wanted the 10 wins avatar, then grinding during snow globe in ratings because game modes battle so long and don't want affect my stats, I'm glade I found a reason to actually play ratings I don't usually push myself to do so, it's just feels great to know that I can

Yeah but there are to many players in ratings with that mentality that just throw games for their whole team cause they have an idc attitude. I use to be that way with ratings (when I never cared about getting anywhere with them) and my ratings win rate absolutely sucked

The only major difference is that once your high enough you get a better avg team then pubs. Yes you get the occasional silver league teams but not as much compared to pubs.

You have to play much different if you're high up because almost every player knows what to do and how to move/aim... I also discovered that only op tanks work while rest of them will not perform good enough against very experienced and skilled players that are playing op tanks

I mean, you still have to do some spotting and assist. Just getting the highest damage will not grant you points all the time.

It is more like play with team at the start… if we are winning then play with team till the end… if we are losing then slowly back up while still dealing dmg, let your teammates die and then try to shoot down some low hp enemies for the kills;-)

Most are t8 spammers. Over 2k+ games and mostly 53tp.

If you have 40% wr but gain points on 1 loss you have 50% wr (2 loss = 60%, 3 loss = 70%).

You don’t have to win, you just need to get points on 1 or 2 loss, which is easy if you play passive aggressive in a heavy tank with limited weak spots and survive til the end of the battle.

Also to note as these guys get higher, they play against weaker opponents, people who won’t be able to pen. If they get caught out by the other skilled player there game is over.

One more thing to note is that 6k is now the “diamond league” players.

The following season anyone that was above 4500 should only calibrate with each other and the rest of us the same, that way all the super Us can only complain about each other (you could still calibrate to any league though)
