There's no denying that the chat can have toxicity but same goes for games like Rainbow 6 or Call of Duty, can you imagine if there was no chat of VC? Would kill the games in my opinion

Also the funny thing about top 5 is that if none of the other top 5 players are on, you cant get a game. Like it literally will not allow you to play, so not playing the game can actually help maintain a lead more than risking losing points by playing. That's only a thing becayse or the massive point difference and low activity in NA ranked. Should be a lot more active these next few months hopefully

Ehhhh I think it depends on what the top 10 players are playing. This past season it was much more difficult to get tier 8 queues because they were mostly playing 10s

Also, clippers aren't the only tanks, just anything with a strong dpm/ability to do damage works well. I exclusively played the leo 1 most of the season and I had no issues, that being said, there wasnt much tvp spam lol.

all good, but personally its not a tank to be competitive in. TVP is much more versatile and does the same job of the TVP, only downside is a slightly worse gun but the smaller profile, sometimes troll armour and speed makes it just way better (don't forget 1.5 second intraclip).

Tier 10 though imo is the easiest tier for me, a lot more balanced. Despite me having really good tanks in tier 8 i just feel like i don't win as much even though i perform well. In tier 10 i feel like i perform well and have a good wr.

I understand, i'd advise don't bother for the first 1 or 2 seasons, they're always the hardest as the pros come out to play. I feel like im a very good player but i can't compare to the best of the best, they're just a different level.

The best advice i personally found good is just picking a tank and sticking to it. In tier 8 it would be the Emil 1951, tier 10 would probably be the AMX 54 or the MK6 when i didn't have the AMX

My advice is to aim higher. WG said summer but that could mean any month from May to October. Next szn is the two month event (April-May) the best thing to get 60 parts.

Basically grind really hard this month and the next 2 month one.

For the Lorraine, WG gave us 3 months warning with the date of change (which was during oct-nov). I expect the same warning telling us when they will change.

I’m a veteran player, starting on 2014 just after the launch of the game, and the biggest issue for me is balanced gameplay. The dross currently playing ratings is depressing. Ratings is meant to be where you get better quality teams. But it’s often worse than regular games because players use it to test out tanks, or just mess around, or try to learn.
If ratings delivered what it said on the tin, it’d be more attractive.
And I’m not talking about personally winning more, I’m talking about having battles where half your team isn’t dead in under 2 minutes. Sometimes quicker! Or they sit in spawn, turret twirling or pretending to be afk for the first few minutes, or longer. I just finished a battle where this guy 👇 comes to life at just gone 3 minutes into the battle.

Yes, had that yesterday with a player who initially appeared to be playing an active role, but then I noticed he’d disappeared and he was as far away from the action as possible. Once the team was all dead he then started to actively engage the enemy, we lost but he got a positive ratings credit.

Another thing I think should change is the calibration system, I think everyone should start with zero points, it doesn't make sense to be in platinum and playing with players in the calibration phase, sometimes he may have been lucky with the teams, but that does not mean you are a platinum level player.

he is a great heavy against other tier VII and a good medium against tier VIII

I believe that the guy spotted more tanks (if that was you). Spotting is so underrated in ratings and that why I play lights and mediums.

Which means there has been 18 months so far in which it has been the rating tank reward, which means you can have gotten the tank just by getting into legendary league 17 of those months, getting those 5 certificates. I feel like ratings is more fair the better you are at the game (or remove emotions from ratings). Scores is given by xp so you can personally maximize that. MM is wonky when they give a team unequal classes. From 4K+ teams can be unbalanced by points but that’s just because of player skill gap and how micro decisions of every player can effect a game.

I’ve never experienced so many one sided ratings battles. Some of them are over in less than 3 minutes or even quicker. You’d expect that perhaps during qualification because that really is a lottery in the first few days of a new season, but at this point it’s disappointing.

Before points on a loss it was wr based. You needed to win more than you lose or lose less points on a loss to move up. @latent vault 6k was after points on a loss. It was like that for most of 2021 and dropped to 5.8k now.

The problem is the more you play ratings the more your wr is closer to 50-55%. Top 3 have 50% 4 has 55% 5 has 52%

the higher your rating the more campy it becomes with tanks in the weirdest positions. And you really feel that most of the players don't want to make any mistake to preserve hp for the late game. So far I have seen him play vickers, 4005, tvp, Kran, and fv4202. He is a decent player, but he completely overthinks the whole rating system which is why you see him trying to do kind of illogical things a lot of the time. His strategy for getting points on a loss doesn't work most of the time from what I've seen, either because his team gets steamrolled or he's on my team and I get the points, but nonetheless he is just another decent player thinking so hard that he's making bad decisions

Usually all teammates + opponents go up hill (at least after you reach 4.5-5k rating)

In that case it's way better to use TVP in a city. Why ?

1. You're useless on a hill. Everyone uses obstacles so you won't be able to shoot entire clip, 1, maybe two, 310dmg shells, while being shot in response. Not a very good strategy 🤷

2. However, if you play in a city, there is a variety of strategies that are beneficial for the team:

•You go through entire city to counter thier TD/another TVP in a town OR to shoot the backs of opponents. Most likely 1-2 opponents will go down to the city, allowing your teammates to push/make smth else.

•You cover your teammates on a hill from flanking

Etc etc

TVP gameplay is very nuanced, sometimes it's definitely very selfish, but sometimes very beneficial for a team.

I had 3 other friends and I manage to get on the same team, and although we are all average/below average players we still wiped the other team because over half of our team was coordinating. It doesn't work in blitz, 2 person platoons are enough. If you want more, play tourneys and training rooms against other groups of people

Like shooting fish in a barrel. Everyone complains that mm is rigged (which technically is true because you’re above their skill level). Most people are clueless about map position and have zero awareness. You pretty much dictate the battle until you reach gold.

Platinum complain it’s rigged because they get gold/calibrating players and they get matched up with high diamond above their skill level. If your in diamond complaining it’s rigged something’s wrong with you.

I noticed that around 3.8k-4.2k and 4.8k-5.2k MM gets wonky. You either get to play with uprated players or you get players close to your level.
