Autoloaders are the best option imo for the calibration
This season, I used Anni for the calibration and well you know how much it can be deadly and I calibrated at 4200 something

Last year in January, I used the Obj 252u and I calibrate at 4200 something (I lost only one game)
Prince, Jules and the other guys gave you good recommendations

So if you lose you can play 900 battles and get 400 wins (45%wr) in a szn VS 300 battles and 150 wins like the rest of the top 10 players.

@buoyant hearth I think part of my problem is i sometimes play a little too passively. I’ve noticed sometimes if I play more assertive (not a YOLO), I can get a lot more points than I normally do.

Here’s my rating checklist

1. Cap 1 supremacy base early on
2. Top Dmg
3. 1 kill
4. Focus higher tier tanks
5. Spot 1+ tanks
6. Spot assist
7. Track assist (good for low dpm tanks)

Xp is combo of these things, so if you pick 3-4 to focus on every battle you consistently gain points.

Capping is underrated, gets you a bigger chance to calibrate high, or even get points if you lose, if you ever wonder why someone who does a whole 1k damage less than you get the points

Spotting is even more underrated. I once spotted 6 enemies, did second bottom in dmg and won points. Assists are half xp of dmg too.

Technically a premium tank pays itself when you’re grinding it. Also after you unlock every tank resources are kinda pointless except for free xp.

I was second when grinding the fearless and stopped playing for 2 weeks and ended up 16th overall. I could’ve kept playing but I just needed to be top 20.

Also you can skip several days on NA and climb up faster because you will have faster mm then top 5.

As an EU, watching NA talking about meeting someone in Ratings when you guys are like barely 10 players is funny

There’s currently 4K players so far compared to the normal 11k. Top 50 is still in platinum and as the months go on good players get the fearless and quit so there’s a skill drain.

So at the top you’re most likely to see at least 2-3 top guys on your team and the enemy. And they have different play styles, some are greedy, some are team players, and there’s few that like to go alone, when you put them together it’s a real sht show.

You start at 3k and can get a maximum of 210 points per battle. Calibration doesn’t matter as much because you can still climb but it takes longer. I went from 2.3k to 5k before as an experiment.

If I get a less win/loss ratio I stop for the day. So one day last month I had 4 losses and 2 wins so I stopped. Always aim for more wins then losses of course. 3-5 losses is when you should stop

Foch feels the same to me. Type 71 is slower but still type 71. Chinese lights have good dpm but no flexibility (no flexibility sucks because of update teams). Everyone will play the wz in ratings so q times for those tank will be longer.

So if you are in Platinum and played 50 battles in tier 8 (it doesn’t matter what tank you play in) the one tank in tier 8 you played the most games in will get the camo.

Things like spotting, base capture, tracking someone and getting assistance damage all increase your base exp earned.

You can lose a battle and still gain points as long as you have the most base exp on your team. I believe there is a minimum amount you need to do for that to happen.

It helps by the fact that you can do more damage by being alive longer. There is no actual xp gained for battle time survived or "being the last one standing". The xp only depends on what you do with the situation, so generally being the last one alive means you can farm more damage and possibly get the points as a result.

Honestly I haven’t seen global chat used correctly . It’s just for spewing hate at the enemy. Team chat is fine but again it’s people raging at teammates once in a blue moon people use it to tell useful information (but do they even listen?).

I honestly turn chat off sometimes so I can just focus on gameplay. You don’t need chat in ratings just watch what your team does at the beginning and stay alive til the end.

I’ve played with battle chat off for months now and I have not missed it. 99% of the time anything said was not relevant to the match.

Beyond a few people occasionally greeting each other and the rare moments someone gave out helpful tips, the rest was just a distraction for me.

Also it prevents me from too easily being salty in chat. So for me personally, I don’t miss it.

In ratings I think chat is pretty necessary if you want to win more consistently. People actually use it to decide where to go, and to coordinate rotations etc that otherwise would not happen unless every player was a pro and just got off a gallon of gfuel. Sure sometimes people dont listen or dont speak english well, but it can allow your team to be a lot more coordinated and effective
Also, I feel like we should all be able to complain about our queue times to the whole lobby which is an even better reason to keep chat on

I have stopped playing ratings because I have seen no differences with regular battles, even after having reach a decent 5k. I see bots playing without any thinking about their moves, using the chat with simple commands like « meds side » was useless. So I used to type more « group heavies’ side and push together » but still sleeping players yoloing on the wrong side and getting wrecked (at rank 4500-5k). Ratings has nothing regarding skills, it’s just a try hard rewarding system. It sucks completely: I have encountered many lost battles where I have been top damage and top battle experience and for some reason another teammate got the bonus points making me loosing some rating points after carrying the team. It is rigged because in this mode the MM rules are just the same as usual so the bad players will make you loose instead of seeing the good ones carrying the game. An absolutely useless mode I m o.

Well on EU 5k rating is basically gold on NA sadly. Rating is much more rewarding for the highest ranked players imo because they get to play in lobbies with other players that know how to play the game well

I think it would be better if rating points displayed the average tier that the person plays because, to be honest, there are lots of 5k rating players who can't play properly and like to play in tier 8 ratings because it is easier to rank up with a larger number of inexperienced players in it.

Wouldn't it be better if there were a way to distinguish rating points by the average tier? The higher the average tier, the higher the ranking will be, even if another person has the exact same points.

For example, a 5015 rating player who has an average tier of 9.8 should be higher in rankings than another person with 5015 ratings but an average tier of 8.5

And maybe scale it accordingly
