We have free to play players in our clan playing above tier 7 sitting at 55%… you arnt overall better off paying to play, the “scam” can only be your temptation to wanting to be first… no one agrees to like crates but buying crates now grants a reward that’s not perfect but you are somewhat reimbursed. By gold or boosters or whatever… I can’t say my premiums are even better than the tech tree in some instances, plus tech tree tanks can be balanced to keep them relevant, premiums can be powercrept, least you don’t pay $20 for a shirt like pubg. Yes WOT Blitz will be a bit more of a tedious experience if you don’t spend money. It’s only natural that a free to play game makes game design choices that would encourage a player to spend money. That’s how it is.

As for grinding, it has never been easier in the history of this game to ‘level up’ and race to tier ten. Research discounts, boosters that are given out like candy, XP daily bonus offers of x3 and x5 etc..

the whole basis of paying for boosts and such in a game is to boost the rate at which the player progresses through the game, playing without paying is definitely possible but just takes longer to reach the "end" of such game. making the game progress just as fast for free players as paying players defeats the whole purpose of the purchases.

the purchases also of course support the developers and allow them to add more free features in the game later on

It wasn’t an attack it was a factual observation. You don’t need to pay to do well in Blitz. As other have said it’s P2A not PTW. While there are some rather insane premium tanks (Smasher and Annihilator) those are in tiers no one really cares about anymore (because of them). Fun is a relative word to some people. Based on a lot of account I see in game, I don’t understand how some people have fun in this game, as they are losing way more than winning, but they must as I see accounts with 60k, and over 155k battles that are low 40% accounts. I ground my first 11 tier X tanks as a F2P player in 2014/15. Some events are clearly Pay to Complete - I don’t see an issue with that, simply because I don’t think people deserve things for free. Your original comments called the game a scam and Pay to Win, that is what you where taken to task over and your response to @somber quarry answer to your original questions.

But having all three or four classes (aviation, coastal, navy, and army) in a very small-storage game? Very much worth it

I do that all the time. On a lot of maps, its better to have your heavies get some initial spots while you take a few potshots from the back of the map, then rotate accordingly.
