Make sure you hit your shots and are in good positions.

On urban maps, make sure to check the corners before you go. You don't want to get rekt in the middle of the battle.
Move with the majority of your team and make sure to focus fire as much as possible.
Don't be afraid to use premium ammo-just make sure that you don't miss too many shots with it.
When taking a shot, go into sniper mode.
Play your vehicle correctly-don't camp in a light, medium or heavy tank and don't yolo in a tank destroyer.

The thing is, that, you need two things to push. One big healthy heavy to tank an initial hit or two, and then some sort of firepower, be it an autoloader or high DPM medium behind him to make it work. But you can only be one of those things

The flankers will likely shoot the easy targets, i.e. your exposed teammates first, farm themselves a golden nose and then take you down

I’m very experienced opening collect them all containers (probably have opened 300 in the past month)… let’s just say I’ve probably gotten 10-15 tanks from all 300 of them. It’s very accurately 5%. One of my recent sprees, I opened like 50 and I might have gotten one tank if that. Another spree I did like 100 and got 7-8 or something. It’s like an 86% chance of getting 0 tanks out of 3 crates according to probability if you cube 95% chance of not getting one

Problem with light tanks is that they’re really challenging to play in high tiers. I would suggest the USA, USSR, and Germany for a starting nation cause there’s enough variety but they’re also not super hard to play. Chinese tanks are good but not for beginners, they have some glaring weaknesses in the mid to high tiers.
As for the other 4 nations, Japan is a terrible nation to start with. British tanks again are somewhat challenging and I suggest you play some American vehicles first before embarking on British tanks. French tanks are also hard to play. The European nation is a mixed bag, really only the Polish heavy tanks are good for beginners the rest need some skill to work with.
As for tank types go medium tanks and heavy tanks first. I suggest the IS-7, IS-4, maybe the T110E5, the E 100, and the 60TP as some good options. Some good starting mediums are the M48 Patton, T-62A, E 50 M. Avoid light tanks until you can master medium tank gameplay at high tiers, and tank destroyers (also known as TDs) are again higher skill vehicles. Avoid them for now as well at least until you’ve gotten up to tiers 5 or 6 and had lots of experience there, after that you can start tank destroyers. Once you’ve gotten experience with mediums and heavies up through tiers 7 and 8, you’re free to experiment with any tank type or country. My best suggestion is to grind 3-4 lines at once first, because if you just do one or two you’ll rush up the tiers too fast and become inexperienced. Don’t try and do everything at once as well. The line is great except the E5. I would stop at the M103 personally. I just said E5 so he knows what line I’m talking about

Granted…the tank isn’t total trash now. I’m working on running it with a build based on survivability because the armor is stronger than most people think. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve got crazy bounces in that tank. It is much better suited to a support/defensive role nowadays, and people make the mistake of continuing to play it as a dynamic attack spearhead tank.

Using a controller for blitz is like going from a mouse and keyboard on PC to use a controller. Why would u even need to use it in the first place? Touch screen gives you way better control and the ability to use finer aiming and movement than a controller
