ah ha ha couldn't we all. i am definitely not the person that has that figured out. but ill tell you what I've figured out. scheduling things during your day and keeping yourself with other things will inevitably take you away from video games. im working 40 hours a week now and I physically don't have time to play as many games as I used to. being on campus for school is also really important, you can't play games when you're not at home. unsupervised online learning is definitely really tough

so even when you have a day off of "set in stone" scheduled stuff like going to work or school, plan your day in advance. don't just say "i want to clean my room", "i want to go out with my friends", "i want to go to the gym", put those things on a calendar with a certain time attached to it. its much better if you are going with someone else because its much harder to just flake on it

im also an introvert and I can get pretty quiet in large groups as well, if im not running an event or leading a group. my energy for large groups is rarely there unless I know everyone super well. but learning social skills and using them is also super important. you have to use them at some point in your life

seems to be the issue in any game that has communal rewards. ppl will group together or join a group just for the rewards it brings and not to participate in group actions. every mmo i've played is like that you have to CAREFULLY recruit and watch members for activity and participation.
