There haven’t been any recent major changes but that may be because WG is busy converting the game from the DAVA game engine to the Unreal game engine. At this point I expect that developing a new feature in DAVA, testing and releasing it would mean just turning around and doing it all again for Unreal. It would be less work to do it once and maybe bring out the Unreal version sooner or with more new features.

WG hasn’t said what the Unreal release date is, but I’m guessing sometime this year.

Built in voice chat for platoons would be convenient, but nothing beyond that. One frequent platoon mate just never stops talking. It was driving me crazy until my headset “broke.”

Ingame glitches is one of the reasons for the Unreal conversion. The original DAVA dev’s went back to running their own company and afterwards some bug fixes were just bandaids. Unreal 5 is newer and WG has been hiring Unreal dev’s. Unreal may have its own bugs but there are a lot more people trained in fixing them.

Me too. Looking at dev’s talking about this game engine or that one, Unreal storage requirements were a concern but there were compression and other tricks they could use. WG is already using that kind of stuff so I expect them to reach into their trick bag. I’ve no idea how it will turn out though.

They are limited edition robots that have more durability/stronger abilities compared to their regular counterparts.
Baihu Lynx has more HP than normal Lynx.
Corrupted Fafnir deals more ability damage than normal Fafnir.
Etc.

So instead of just a normal Mender, you can run Medic Paintjob Mender and get an extra durability bonus.
Not as much as a limited robot, but its better than nothing.

The X5, X4 and X3 certificates should not be used automatically in victories. There should be an option to active/deactive them. It's very annoying that sometimes you want to play with premium/collectable tanks, and you "can't", bcs you need to use your certificates on Tech Tree tanks!

I am an old player who started the game in 2015. I have 55k battles on my old account and 70k battles including other accounts. I have said many times on your forum site that the players of the game will not stay in the future due to your ### policies. No one cared. and I quit in 2020. I started again a few months ago. There are no old players, in fact the number of players playing the game has decreased so much that despite the merger of 2 servers, you are botting excessively. In the past, low |Q players were more, bots were less. Now bots are excessive, low |Q is less. Can a battle last 1.5-2 minutes? Going to a place on the map and taking a position already takes between 45 seconds and 1 minute. The game has become like $$$. While a series of 30-40 consecutive defeats is mathematically impossible in 2-probability situations, it is possible in your game. Because of your ### system. You bot when you can't find a player. You explain this as a luck factor. At least bring back 2 tier mm, at least the match with real players will increase. Your only occupation has been boxes, you have spoiled your mind by bringing boxes.

Man, the game is 10 years old 🙂 I started this game in August 2015. I played continuously for 5 years. In almost every version until 2020. Even with +2 -2 MM, it was making fair matchmaking. It was a little worse after 2018, but worse after 2019. I quit in 2020. Most former players have already left the game completely around 2021-2022. I started again in December 2024, but the game became disastrously unenjoyable. Only the old-timers know what I mean. There have always been bots. In the past, in Normal matchmaking, one side had an average win rate of 60-70% and the other side had an average win rate of 50-60%. Now, while one side has an average win rate of 60%, the other side has dropped to 40% or even 30% win rate. This matching system is more than random. Everyone used to talk about serial defeat and serial victory. Currently, there are those who have suffered serial defeats in 30-50 wars. These are incredible possibilities that push the limits of possibility. Even in Las Vegas there is no chance of losing that many times.

Lopsided battles have been a thing since the early days. I have been around that long too and was on the forums too, hearing all the matchmaking complaints, and complaining about the " steam roll " ( also known as " turbo " ) battles myself. I dislike 40% teams vs 50% teams with a passion, especially when it is basically like one or two versus 5 6 7 good reds; or worse 2 or 3 versus 9 or 10 in 10v10. As far as we all know MM has not changed - except for the +-2 that became +-1 and the experiment with skill based matchmaking we had briefly.

Loss streaks of 30 - 50 battles? ... yeah, something else is going on there.

The only point of enjoyment in the game is normal or non-rated matches (such as big boss, anti-gravity mode or 10 vs 10).Again, in the (closed) wotblitz forum, there was a lot of criticism about this matchmaking (normal mode) in the past, but Wargaming did not make any corrections. It brought ratings, but it does not affect the user's statistics (number of damage of the tank, victory, etc.) and it never explained to what extent the matchmaking rules in the rating were relaxed in case of player shortage. Rating mode is partially (see partially) good, but what if I want to play normal mode? Serial defeats, win rate that is almost impossible to increase, battles lasting 1.5-2 minutes. There are tons of threads on this subject on Steam. There used to be a forum, of course, before it was closed.

Yes, win-rate is not easy to increase once you are an existing player with let's say 25000 battles, but it is possible. There are motivated players who still do it, and then qualify for the veteran role.

Of course if one has a high win rate to start, and then doesn't stay as active with knowledge of maps, enemy tanks, weak spots, etc ... It is all too easy to play worse, with poorer positioning, less insights about enemy tanks, etc

High win rate is easier to drop than to gain.

I want to give an example from myself. When I play for ratings, I don't get nervous or stressed, but I don't enjoy it either. When I play normal mode, the win rate drops and this annoys me. A bad situation in cigarette addiction. See what I mean? My old account was around 50k. I opened a new account between 2019-2020 and had 7k battles. I left. My win rate was around 62% (it was 69% before I quit the game) In December 2024, I fought 1.5k-2k wars on top of 7k wars, only 100 wars in normal mode. The number of other battles is purely ratings and the big boss. My win rate decreased from 62% to 60.72%. only with a maximum of 100-200 battles. Since I saw that there would be defeat in most battles, I didn't even bother with increasing the damage. In the past, there was a way to turn the game, 3 vs 1 would be a lot. Now it's a 6 vs 1 situation. So it's impossible to translate. I'm sorry I tired you.

If you mean can you use your World of Tanks Blitz Content from your account in World of Tanks: No. They are separate titles, with serparate databases for tracking player data. They do not transfer. Use them when you see a tank you can't penetrate by any means, or when you have to put a quick shell (can't waste time aiming, either to avoid taking damage, or enemy is running away quickly), or when you have a low chance of hitting weak spots due to how far an enemy is.

The consequences of using premium ammo are two fold, you have reduced damage and you drain credits. Therefore it is always better to use normal ammo. Also remember that HEAT ammo can't penetrate through spaced armor or buildings/debris.

Some premium ammo actually increase your damage while decreasing your penetration, often in British tanks (HESH) and in some other tanks (SU-100Y, ISU-130, Tankenstein). In this case, use the high damage premium ammo as your primary shell, only switching to the normal shell in the same cases where you'd use the premium shell in any other tank
