If you want TDs, go for heavy style TD's with good armor like American E4 line (good brawler, good alpha damage), Italian Minotauro line (good armor, helps in learning auto-reloader mechanic). Some good non-turret TD choices are Chinese WZ-113G FT (good armor, good alpha damage) and Soviet Obj.268 (decent armor, good alpha). Pick WZ first if you go for non-turreted TDs.

For heavies (which I would recommend), German VK 72.01K and E-100 lines, (good armor and alpha damage). Soviet IS-7 is great choice too, its got good armor and a strong gun for what it is. Japanese Type 71 is also good (has decent frontal armor, can get bounces). Chinese BZ-75 line is great (2 guns - 1 for competitive 1 for fun). American T11E05 line (weak hull but strong turret, allowing you to climb a good spot and rain shells down onto people, helps in learning hull down positioning). Polish 60-TP line (great armor and alpha damage).

As for mediums and lights, they are more attention-requiring and skill-dependent tanks, you can try learning them side-by-side to the main lines, like positioning, spotting, flanking, they can make a difference between a win and a loss, as lights and mediums have better camo values and can out-spot tanks. Just wait for suggestions regarding mediums and lights. Also, my list might have some things wrong, any corrections welcome.

the more credits you have, the easier it is for you to save up for grinding lines, unlocking equipment on tank, consumables and most importantly, ammo. Premium ammo means higher penetration, meaning you can hit your enemy in more spots on their tank, it can be bought for credits and make sure to take 4-10 in a battle, depending on the gun your tank has (high alpha around 400-700, take 4, 200-400 take 6, you can scale it according to your preference). You only pay for the shells you use, even if your tank gets destroyed, the premium shells will remain and you can use them for the next battle without paying again.

to be honest this is a very complicated question and answer! but i’ll make it short!
first of all you have to understand a tech tree line is different in tank raport to other tech tree.
by example : the chinese TD WZ 113GFD tier X it’s the most appreciated td by competitive players because it has a very good armour. Jgpz e 100 has even a stronger one but the difference is WZ has a few weak spots than JGPZ, it’s faster ….and the gun reloads and aims faster . But the tanks to get to this tier X are not appreciated by every player. they usually skip the bad ones whit free experience. Some good TD s have turret , and that’s amazing for a td .
And that’s the reason i whould recommend the american line E4 and italian MINOTAUR for a beginner. and when you understand a little bit what an TD is capable of ,then go for the big guns whit no turret .

i really like it

it’s an easy tank to use imo, penetration is average, dpm is quite good for an heavy (i use the resources aswell but it’s 2.58k dpm), and you can even put resources on it which will boost your health by 74 and 147 (i have 2769 total health), the tank is VERY weak on the sides, the only place which you’re safe from is the front (even though tanks with good penetration will see your entire lower front plate as penetrable) any average penetration tank (250mm~~) will have some trouble penetrating you from the front

it’s also the second tank which i have the best average damage with (first one is the KPZ 50 t) and i got 2.68k average damage and 153 matches 1!1!1!1!
