Difficult. It is not a typical tank. Good frontal armour and mobility allow you to play the frontline rather aggressively, but the lower plate and sides can result in fast destruction. Especially considering the gundepression is pretty bad

If you want to challenge yourself a bit but still drive relatively potent tanks then I think the Yoh line is interesting for you

Because they don‘t have hull armour, but the turret armour is ok which means you have to be careful about your positioning (going hulldown). Also the autoloaders allow you to deal a lot of damage, but you need to find ways to fire your shells without taking too much damage in return. For example tracking enemies, or hiding until the time is right to strike, or maybe even flank.

The heavy hitpoints and turret armour make them more forgiving than a medium tank, and overall the tank performs average to well, so it‘s not a walk in the park but also not just getting stomped either

I think eventually you will come across a tank that will just ‚click‘, i.e. a tank you will love to play. I think this is the tank you should get up to rank 50 as the ranks show your commitment to a tank. For me it‘s the Leopard 1

Ranks don’t really mean anything except that you’ve earned a lot of xp in a tank. A pro player might have needed 100 battles to get it to rank 50 (just using round battle numbers for easiness), a bad player might have taken 2000 and still gotten there in the end, because even the worst players ace a tank at times

Ranks do give you camo’s at certain stages

But they don’t change your tank or it’s creditcoeffinciency

Example: you already maxed/researched all tanks on the Soviet tech tree, it depends on what tank you use the most. HT? Don't rush. LT? Flank or support. MT? Support or frontlines, depending on the armour. TD? Back line, the T95 is best for third or second line, don't go on the frontlines, you'll get outrunned.

Eh, this is where I’d disagree a little. In a tank like 60tp, your damage output isn’t that high, so in a lot of scenarios it’s better to hold the W key even if it’s not safe in order to allow teammates with more firepower to move in and deal more damage

As a fellow autoloader spammer, I get it, but even then, using your HP when the situation demands it is still a good skill to have

MM is completely unbalanced. It is statistically impossible 90% of the games for my tier VII tank to have to face tier VIII. I have the match history if WG want. All the while facing only tier VIII players practically with a tank that isn't even good in general statistics. WG you really need to review your MM. I spent more than a month without playing and the situation continues to be ridiculous. Stop manipulating the game.

tier 8 is the most played tier by far, of course you’re being matched more against tier 8s in a tier 7.

the MM is only concerned with a few rules:

• same number of a certain tier of tanks (e.g both teams will have the same amount of tier 9s)

• maximum triple TD per team

• both teams have the same number of platoons

• For the Annihilator only, the MM ensures that there is an enemy Annihilator to fight against it

The MM is purely an algorithm that tries to put you in a match with these parameters in mind, as quick as possible. If not, it abandons some of these parameters (often the triple TD limit, never the tier count and platoon count however) to get you in a match faster

what you actually claim, is likely due to negativity and selection bias, rather than actual time spent analysing games.

My friend always has tier VI in the queue in similar numbers to tier VII and tier VIII. There's no reason for me to pick up many more tier VIII games. MM simply doesn't balance the times I get top tier, because if it really balances I wouldn't have 90% of the games against tier VIII.

Well, if you take a player with more than 55% WR and with just one tank tier VII you have 20% all the time, just taking tier VIII you can be sure that there is something wrong.

It’s very possible for the majority of your games to be bottom tier. In fact, it’s the expected outcome. There’s way more tier 8 players than tier 7 players, which is why being bottom tier is far more likely. In general, there are more players the higher the tier.

It depends a lot on what you want to do. For mediums, all around T-62A is probably the best choice. For lights it’s inarguably the BC 25t. For TDs it’s the same case but with the 113g FT. For heavies you can take the T95E6 and lose some armor in exchange for mobility and dpm, or you can tank your mobility to gain quite a bit of armor with the VK 72 while still retaining an okay gun. If you want something in the middle, E5 and IS-7 are always options.

62A manages to have much better mobility than both, around the same dpm, and a stronger armor profile in terms of its turret, while still having a strong hull

The M48 gives up mobility and a bit or hull armor compared to the 62A to gain a slight dpm advantage, E50M gives up turret armor and accuracy along with p/w in order to gain a better hull
