Because after update, people often have this crash upon opening thing.

In which case the following usually helps:
Close the game. Close steam.
Go to your user > documents folder, delete " packs " folder, delete " dava project " folder.
Then try again.

the thing with HEAT shells is that HEAT shells don't exactly ricochet, they just stop penetrating armor which is at an angle of 85 degrees or more relative to the shell trajectory

Yes, heat shells are activated by a fuse on the warhead. At extreme angles if the Fuze isn't sensitive enough the warhead can infact ricochet off the armour plating.

However at such angles, even if it did detontate, the warhead would not have enough penetration to punch through the effective thickness of the armour.

Grab a platoon mate from your clan, play with discord voice on, so you have a dependable team mate.

Playing solo can indeed be frustrating when there are too many losses.
So take a break, come back fresh. Grab a platoon mate. Do some game modes.
