I kinda miss lost temple (if that’s the one with the Saigon feel, with the big Dias at the complex centre and the streams of to the med side of the map) because it was so different. There was word that it was removed to be updated/improved - don’t know if anything came of that.
My least favourite map is castilla because of the omnipresent sniping positions. I don’t have a problem with dead rail at low tiers, but at 8+ it gets more iffy. Similarly mines and fort despair work better at low tier and might be the best maps (along with dead rail) for T5 and below because they are small. IMHO.
What was the desert map with the railway line, with a big hill with a lake and waterfall beyond called? That was a great low tier map.

omg , can someone pin a msg saying "yes, we all know about your feelings and memories of mirage and lost temple" they were removed and either reworked into different looking maps or will remain in limbo until WG can find the time to fix them, most of us would rather WG spend resources on current game instead of borderline useless maps that were/are tier restricted like copper field

ask about any current map situation here and someone will give tips on what they do to get dmg or xp accumulated , if you're a dmg hawk or team player someone willl suggest something here , don't be discouraged, we'll get rid of anyone that craps on a question relating to the game

a map for everything to do what? there was only one area for meds/lights to spot from, 1 area they could go brawl and heavies had a small fighting area that was half water with no hull down really, tds had even less options depending on your spawn, you had to stay on the dunes side and try and make whatever depression you have work or be forced to fight on heavy side regardless of what armour you brought

The town was so frustrating to play in. Everybody had lines on everyone else
Mirage wasn’t really that great, even at low tiers smart players would set up crossfires and ruin your day

go to a trusted phone repair shop and tell him to do an inspection on the battery voltage output and the health of it, if the battery isn't the problem he should take a look at the motherboard to see if it has some damage on it, if the phone is in perfect shape try resetting it and before you do it back up your photos and accounts

@white knot Maybe, just maybe, its not because of your phone, but because of your wifi connection. Even if you have good ping and a low loss ratio, it might still affect your game quality. Btw, try setting your vegetation settings to low, because that uses a lot of computation power. And set your shadows to medium or lower, because high shadow settings dont look better, but they make your phone lag.
If nothing works, maybe there is smth wrong with your hardware, because im using a relatively old apple 4 cluster gpu on maxed out graphics at 60fps without problems.

mines need to have the hill itself reworked to be good, adjusting other parts of the map doesn't really affect it
You‘d be surprised. Say if we were to elevate all other terrain but the hill by 50 metres, I‘d argue that this would tremendously affect gameplay on the map

WG should add some night themed maps. We only have one i.e Faust.
faust and himmelsdorf is also a bit darker because it's snowing there, maybe darker maps only work with a winter themed map. vineyards use to be sunset lighting but that didn't last long before it was changed
Himmelsdorf will become summer map later. The only night map is Faust.

They can even make some existing maps darker like lagoon from the souleater trailer.

In regards to night maps we had multiple, there was Halloween versions of maps lock rockfield and I believe the one with the church in dead center and these have never returned for Halloween for unknown reasons
Old vineyards also had a special effect because of the darkness muzzle flash was a lot brighter than normal

the map is too small for T10 to work on, and if you don't have gd/are paper, good luck, ultimately the map would be fine if it was larger with the smaller one becoming t1-7 locked.

At first i usually go here to get one shot into the meds that is going to corner, after that im going back to the bush behind me. Port bay is very limited to tds tho, especially if enemy team goes C.
if your TD is fast enough, going down under the bridge to shoot slower mts crossing wide can work too. sometimes i do that with some meds. risky though
sounds almost like TDs should go town to prevent flanking from that side

pre 7.9 apk and ipa files only have mines, but not mirage since that's in the dvpk. so just pull old, pre 7.9 steam depots. aside from those two map, clients with other old maps like bridge, yard, safari, etc. are not publicly available.

Just go town . And if you want to insist on using the whole map, you can also use the 1/8th that‘s the ocean
Nobody forces you to go to the river side, and having two tanks on the city flank usually doesn‘t hurt if they time their flanking attack well
The heavy tank hill is rendered useless not only by sniping td but also the mediums on the castle
Make/add maps that are bigger no need to be small and short matches. Can have like 15-20 min match. I know its blitz means fast but doesnt hurt if we get a bigger sized maps
15-20 minutes? How long do you want to sit around and wait? Because a tank vs tank engagement in Blitz usually lasts between 30 seconds and a minute if both are full hp

I haven’t seen any date given by WG. Map reworks usually take a long time to complete and with the conversion to the Unreal engine also going on they might release the Himmelsdorf rework at the same time. There’s no date on that either so we will have to be patient.

this version of mines is the 2nd, the OG mines had multiple routes to get on/off the hill, when they reworked mines they took the WoT PC version and shrunk it down and removed whatever so it could work on mobile. back then there were only 4 nations in the tech tree and fewer choices of vehicles but yes its probably overdue for another rework
Wotb modding is quite useless anyways. And just buy a better device then you can play.

why do you think that? everyone should know where they can be safe from sniping tds , snipers are depending on spotters in order to get shots during early battle
Because a TD can sit in one spot on either side and lock down the entire map. Anyone who pokes takes massive amount of damage no matter what, so it just turns it into a stalemate where TDs control everything
i understand they have a view point but we know where they'll be and where they can fire. for them to fir3 cross map someone has to spot for them
That’s not the position I’m talking about. It’s the bushes in spawn where they lock down the map

The biggest issue is that as soon as you peek or try to push, you will instantly be punished by any TD in that position, leading to nobody pushing at all because they don’t want to take the damage

Lesta has a battle royale mode map that is 1200x1200 and it runs fine

That’s a different game concept by a different company.
Larger maps could mean that battles take longer to play and may require tanks that are balanced for the play style needed for that size map. (And arty).
Lesta is literally on the same systems and have the more experienced devs
Lesta had the software that existed at the end of the withdrawl. It is running on their own systems. The Wargaming servers in the data centers they used in Russia were wiped clean by the data center company when they withdrew from Russia. Lesta had raised financing for their own servers by then.
Any game/server software changes since then should be different for each company. They would still be similar but not identical.
As for which company has the more experienced staff, I don’t how we’d really know without having 2021 and 2024 staff rosters. That is not and should never be made public.
I'd say, our new year event is already a lot better than one from lesta, so I hope our managers know what they're doing

We need longer battles on bigger maps, im bored of the same small square and 3 min matches
Going from500x500 to 1200x1200 would be a major change. I’d be less skeptical of tanks that have been balanced for 500m working on something that isn’t as big of a change.
The 3 minute length though, that gets us into the nature of our teams and matchmaking. Some of my most enjoyable battles are when it narrows down to a few players. Some sort of team balancing must be needed, but would that be popular?
What do you think would increase the battle length?

Oh yeah. The shell range on all but two tanks is 720m and the diagonal map distance is only 706m. Now you can hit everything on the map, but that wouldn’t be true on a bigger map. Corner campers would less useful than now.
Accuracy would go down as well due to dispersion effects.

How about having the same map but in different weather settings? For example the map Mines on summer and Mines(Winter). That should be a good idea.

a blitz version of prokhorovka, summer malinovka (with layout of the original v1 map from blitz) empires border, windstorm, ruinberg/on fire, paris, berlin (generally, a map set in every major city from ww2 would be nice as a form of representing factions but thats just me) highway, live oaks, pilsen (technically abandon. factory already does the look) murovanka, fjords.

Or they decided to just do an Unreal version. Everything is being converted so the map team is probably busy. Going straight to UE may be less work.
The teaser showed changes to the Canal map and there could be changes to other maps too. Having a new map would be a nice addition to the Unreal release.

Staff previously recommended reducing graphics quality to medium if fps drops were experienced on Castilla. That avoids the pbr map elements.
They use to around Christmas and froze the water and stuff.

Probably around the Southeast or Northwest sides of the fortress, both are plausible to be honest
It was rotated out for this season and should come back with the new season in February.
I’d go with southwest. The main building would have given a second line of defense if a southwest entrance was breached. The buildings in the other directions were not as substantial and could have been used as cover by an attacker.
Apparently the other buildings were destroyed when the walls were breached but the main building wasn’t. That’s where you would make your last stand.
Guys if you are in an Emil 2 or kranvagn where do you suggest positioning on middle burg ? I have thought about this for 2 months now /:
Hill. Always take the high ground.
After that with any hulldown tank I like to be behind the ridge of the two center hills. You can fire to the side (far right targets), or north to targets in the center. Or peek-a-boom against targets in town or the hillsides. Then move forward to the next ridgeline and repeat.
If the team goes town I like peeking around the buildings on the west. There’s shots to the n/s, and you can rotate to shoot into town.
Climbing the hill then using your turret armor while you take cover behind some small hills or you can go to town there's a small collapsed building in the corner where you can hulldown
Use consumables like the super speed to climb faster then the enemy heavys giving you time to get better position

creates a false sense of existing maps being "new" whenever they come back into the map pool
however it's adverse affect is producing some of the most diabolical teamplay i have ever seen.
Im a fan of map rotations, it helped me better at understanding player antics.
I think for someone who's maybe not completely understanding the nuances if the maps, the map rotations are probably negative.
Maybe that’s the case for me. I get bored of playing a smaller selection of maps when I’m used to playing a wider selection. It gets repetitive a lot quicker but then again I can see how a smaller selection is better for the average player to get accustomed to positioning

If they do it will be after the new Unreal game engine is released. There’s no point in reworking a map for DAVA only to turn around and convert it to Unreal. The map team would be busy converting the other maps and adding new features to them, like those shown in the teaser video.
What's the unreal game engine
It’s a newer game framework that would replace our current apps. Apparently it’s popular with indie dev’s but is also used in much larger games. There’s a long list that includes Fortnite, Jedi: Fallen Order, Gears of War, Borderlands and others. “It's popular due to its advanced graphics capabilities, ease of use, and versatility…a comprehensive suite of tools for creating high-quality games. Its features include realistic physics, advanced lighting, and seamless cross-platform support….”
So we will probably see better graphics and changes in game physics, at least. Bug fixes and map development should also be easier. DAVA is ten years old, and the original devs eventually left WG and went back to running their own company. WG has been hiring Unreal staff for a few years for game publishing and, apparently, this conversion.

I haven’t seen any, but I don’t expect new maps until the conversion to the Unreal engine is finished. All the existing maps will have to be converted and it would be easier to just prepare any new maps for Unreal.

I’ve figured out ways to make those maps work. Dynasty Pearl too, but it’s a lot more work for me. That one is not my favorite.
There’s some good map guides that helped me. Just type “Wot Blitz” and the map name into the You Tube search and you’ll see a few. Some of the CC’s and yt’ers have some good tips.

Tactics are always valid - if enough players on a team can figure them out together on the fly
Won a game recently where I chose to sacrifice. 6 tanks went hard left, ignoring their flank. Red had 4 tanks that direction and 3 on our flank. I stood hull down in the way of those three and held them long enough to keep them off of the 6. Got killed by the three eventually, but bought enough time for the rest of the team.
There are many great tech tree tanks, but ultimately it's either skill, tactics or luck that wins the game. The only exception is maybe if you have a platoon with two autoloaders and you trust each other to focus kill reds one at a time.
Sadly, not everybody plays by this idea, however, it’s great to hear of other people doing the same.
Personally I get annoyed when people don’t understand how to play the type of tank depending on the maps, and I only get actually annoyed when they play the opposite way that they are supposed to on the map
Otherwise, it’s a great time on all maps, especially when you have teammates who know how to hold their side when outnumbered/push when they outnumber the reds
This I fully agree with, because personally I don’t spend any money, nor do I play any of the super OP tanks per teir, and even then, each tank is made in a way that most tanks, if not all, when played right, can beat each and every other tank in the game, tech tree or premium

i feel more or less it deserves a shot at being reworked, as most problems with the map come down to the size of the map and less the concept of the map
A: one spawn side has preferable positioning / elevated positioning to allow for faster deployment
B: a lot of area on the map is useless (cough, the lighthouse island) but otherwise wouldn't if the map was larger and camo ratings on light tanks / their viewrange could be more properly used
C: the town being absolutely useless to push past and providing zero reason to be there outside the caps
D: the hill, like the spawns, also being more usable for northern spawn side over the other
mines gotta be the worst map to ever exist on the game yet, it's actually horrible for any light tank, meds with no armor and tds

I think it depends on the playstyle because that almost never happens for me, if I have enough gun depression at the med side I use it but if I don't then I just go behind the rock behind big hill and use that as cover while trying shoot other enemies and it always works unless i'm outnumbered by a ton like 2 to 4

Mines is claustrophobic to play. Everything seems too small and narrow to play.
For how interesting combat at T10 can be there are very limited areas of conflict. It’s far too small of a map to offer a variety of genuinely interesting combat situations like some of the others can.

I think it would require a huge rework, and it would still never be a great map, even if they got rid of all the most glaring issues, It would always just be 3 large, seperated, corridor areas, and the weird top area
If they completely reimagined how gameplay on the map worked, maybe it would be ok, but at that point it would just be easier to start from scratch, and leave mines for low-tier (where it is a good map imo)
Mines on pc is pretty much like you described, lighthouse is viable and lights use it to spot without being spotted, but that doesn't really help the gameplay out

They should just remove the silly unrealistic maps like Dy(nasty)s pearl, new bay and faust. unnatural terrain does not work with tanks.

Black goldville is a pretty terrible map as the town is completely useless so tanks are forced up 3 alleyways on the med side
Canyon is an awkward map but I personally think it's good as it forces your team to disperse and hold middle for spotting + corners for crossfire on middle

Three corridors rule - 3 lanes (usually "heavy flank", "medium flank" and "no man's land") that are detached from one another, so for example it's difficult to back off from 1 to 3 or support your team there, applies to all of them.
Players go into pre-planned areas, to fight as WG intended, without the risk of having to engage with the open world and making bad choices, because the corridor is linear. Flanking possibilities are closed, so they don’t have to worry about anything that isn’t in front of their tank. There's only one choice - forward.
Additionally, since there’re many broken tanks - plenty players decide to play TDs, so they don’t have to engage them. This is why TD perches are so busted in terms of map coverage and it’s difficult to approach them. Average player doesn’t want to follow the team in a TD and readjust his position. He wants to sit and boom tanks.
I suppose it’s all psychological. This is the design that’s scientifically the best suited for an average player and making sure his experience is fun, even if he plays mindlessly.
However, this design has a major flaw. The less complex the map’s network, the more repetitive the battles. This leads to players feeling bored and quitting the game. If you look at the battle results of an average player, it’s not like he performs any better on modern, corridor maps. He possibly performs even worse and feels frustration or helplessness, as good players learned to abuse linear maps and repetitive battles.
I hope someone from WG reads this and makes another masterpiece like canal or winter malinovka. There’s hardly anyone who dislikes these maps, even though they’re quite complex and require a thoughtful play.

I much prefer the older copperfield, they reworked and it was so bad they had to restrict it to tier 7
atleast on the old one, the medium side is not seperated by a single pipe, and there is actual foilage and good terrain to use
It's honestly also partly the players. Rushing one side seems to always be the tactic and since maps are small and almost entirely without crossfire, it works.
it's not that wg forces players, they give areas on the map that suited for each type of vehicles and over time players start to figure out what positions are important to control. i don't know if you remember the first version winter malinovka map, it felt like the same size but the elevations were steeper, and back then every battle consisted of all players brawling it out at the windmill corner because it was a powerful position, so it was 7v7 just ridge peaking. then they finally reworked it into its current version

Question, how does N90 travel across the map without getting shot at, at the beginning of the game? If I do the same I swear the enemy team would run a train on me. He traveled in the middle of the map in one game. Then he ran into flag A and stood on it in that train yard map. I do the same I swear I get 💥🔥💥🔥☠️☠️☠️.
I assume he did that with an enviable mastery of cover and concealement. Or at least I envy it. Being able to get into position, shoot an enemy in the rear and get away without anyone knowing that you were ever there is so much fun and so hard to do.
At the beginning of each game, he travels across open spaces that have gotten me 💥🔥☠️💥🔥☠️. I see him do it and nothing happens to him omg.
As a veteran he probably has maxed his crew skills and has an extra 21% added to his camo rating. Add in every other concealment bonus, including the Concealment in Movement ability of lights, and you can be pretty hard to see. The rest is probably keeping some objects between enemy locations and himself, plus a good amount of luck.

I am quite surprised of the results. What is great about Himmelsdorf? Yes, that's is the only map I dislike.
it's not my favorite but also not at the bottom of my list, I prefer elevation changes for ridge fighting but I don't mind the fighting areas on himmelsdorf, my least favorite is port bay
I was mostly suprised how popular Himmelsdorf is. I like terrains, elevation and dislike towns that end up being HP-trading dead-traps, IMHO
Himmelsdorf is very balanced both in terms of spawns and in terms of sides, so I guess that‘s why it‘s popular. Positive has been advertising Himmelsdorf as the best map for years now as well, so that might have had an influence in the poll.
Either way, I prefer hilly terrain and irregular maps that are only mirrored between the spawns, thus I chose Desert Sands. Himmelsdorf is pretty bland because no matter where you play, the gameplay is the same
Its the only urban map in the game that actually works thanks to semi-natural terrain with the rubble humps and bomb craters and lack of split heavy medium sides. Mid game to late game is great and there is always an angle of attack you can take.

To be honest, it offers really well balanced gameplay for both sides. Not to mention, it's not that large hulldown sh!tshow as on other maps, because each position is counterable.
I am not denying that there are hulldown positions are on Himmel - But again, there are counterable. - Which I can't tell about other maps.
And that is problem with other maps, they are being designed in way to be just hulldown maps and gives insane advantage.

The thing is that it doesn’t offer flexibility in repositioning or making plays compared to other maps because of its small size.

Lol, I confess I like many “hull-down-shit-show” maps. For me taking advantage of the terrain is core to the gameplay. 😳 I still miss longer battles that were not 2min steamrolls.

Btw. I have really enjoyed the 10 vs 10 mode. Battles are longer and more balanced. A single noob dying at the first 40 sec matters less.

Wish the "favorite map" poll was more of a "community tier list" thing. A lot of maps that are still good are nobody's favorite.
That question is waaaaaaay too open-ended. It entirely depends on the map, the spawn, what the other team is doing, and in some cases, the map just isn't good at all for a tank like the SU.
So many LT players do this... Forget maps being locked to tiers, if you're win % is under 40, you should be barred from higher than tier 6.
It's always a premium or collector tank that the player got for free, too. It's why the Destiny angers me. You can't just give away tier 9s, and if you do, they should be inaccessible until a certain win % or battle count, or the MM should only pair them up with others with skill levels that low. But since they don't, 95% of Destiny tanks are basically a bot and are a free kill for the enemy team.
Same thing with 95% of KV-2 and 183b players

i don't understand why so many have "drunk goggles" for mirage, it offers nothing for any tank types other than ones with big view ranges

Like other tank classes, that will depend on the armor, mobility and gun of the TD. While the AMX CDA 105 and the Tortoise are both TD's, the playstyles you can use with them are different.
For some basics you could watch this and other YouTube videos on TD's or on the TD you play. While some are older, the basics don't change.

I was gonna say, if you don’t like snipping, then if playing heavy armored TDs, I’d say go with the heavys, and if playing a faster TD with less armor, go with meds
Just play a bit more towards the back line of your allies and you should be able to get shots, play agro when needed, but still have cover to not get nuked

we need bigger maps these maps are so small
Bushes show you where to blindshot that pesky td. They can use them to stay hidden, but after a while you'll know which bushes td's often use. If nothing else is going on spending a free ap shell can pay off.
That’s one of the things that Reforged should allow. Hopefully we’ll see larger maps after it’s released and stabilized
Without bushes, you can actually see the TD, though.

TD's, and lights doing passive spotting, don't want to be seen. Everyone plays those classes sooner or later.
One of the better moments in Blitz is when you shoot a red tank in the back and get away without ever being seen. Not the easiest thing to do, but with a good understanding of cover and concealment you will be doing it too.

So it has been what, 3 to 4 years since the introduction of new maps and the removal of two beloved maps? Are there any plans on adding new maps to the mix? If I'm not mistaken, removing Mirage and Lost Temple was only being done to revamp the maps, or at least that was the initial plan.

we were in ratings, top rated guy (5619) asked "all right?" i (4945) go "yes", then we were chewed out by the most experienced guy (3685 but 110k battles) saying we should l2p before playing ratings
we went 3 left 4 right, enemy team went 2 left 5 right, and we got destroyed
In my experience yet humble opinion, I have not only seen but personally played rockfield where if you are playing a supremacy game the best setup is to take a and b. I honestly do not understand why the meta in today's game is to all head to the med side.
The lack of experience and knowledge most individuals in the game show today in properly assessing and implementing a plan of attack on certain maps in correlation with your team's makeup of tanks, is due to the fact that wargaming has made it extremely easy for the most inexperienced of players to be able to play at high level tiers without having to gain the knowledge and experience of gameplay by having to grind lines like I had to, starting over a decade ago with my first account. The knowledge gained from playing at the lower levels, or at least you would hope individuals gain knowledge, would be able to help them on maps in your specific circumstance.
For me personally being over a 4000 rating and ratings with people who have a few hundred battles when I have nearly 40,000 in my primary account, just shows how wargaming has dropped the ball on limiting newer players where they need to learn the maps that are played in addition to the tanks that they use.
city maps are very bad for td. nowhere to camp and it forces you to close combat.

The thing is, if they do a full sweep of base C, the other team can’t snipe them from A, and they have the C hill advantage then they become almost untouchable. If the A Basers try to take B, then they come under fire. If the C base trys taking B, then they spot the A Base snipers/hull downs, but you can’t hide your armour from both high AND low grond AND shoot at the same time. Plus, due to the fact that they only went C, they would have lost 1/2 tanks, while removing all enemy tanks, so even if nither side takes B, C will still have the advantage
And I would never go A cap on Rockfield. Unless you are playing as a tournament group your team won’t know where to setup properly and you get ripped apart in cross shots. The cover on that side requires proper planning g which doesn’t happen in pub or Rating battles

Ima hop in with this- I agree with what most people have said, in pub/rating med side is better, as you don’t have to worry about crossfire as much.
If your whole team but one or two guys heads heavy side, it’s then a matter of map awareness, you watch to see if 3-4+ of the other team is on med side, if so then you know you got numbers and you can push

Idk what to do in that map unless I have a heavy tank. If I'm using a medium, light or td is an automatic loss.

dead rail sucks, TD’s control the map. The only place TD’s can’t hit you is on heavy hill, anywhere else gets beamed on my TD’s. I have also played TD’s on the map, and it’s so brain dead. All I did was click the fire button and win with a high damage game. Make the map have cover from spots on the left corner TD spots.
Also the same thing for Campstilla, except one spawn gets a flat unfair advantage over the other
I love taking lights up into the hills on Dead Rail and getting a TD from behind. (I have not got beyond Tier VII, so take that with a grain of salt.)
Good medium wins the flanks and start attack from the side/behind before HT and TD even move out of their spawn. The current meta is everyone sits in the spawn area and waits for that first aggressive tank to yolo into enemy spawn and dies within first 60 seconds.

I'd love to have some suggestions on how to play Canyon. I don't seem to get it. The key seems to be to have someone spotting on the hill in the middle, but it's a very damn dangerous position to hold if your team doesn't support

The server rules require a plain text tagable nickname. It needs to be in a standard western alphabet with no symbols in front of the letters. I'll dm you a link on how to change yours.

The standard western keyboard does not have those symbols. A nickname that begins with them is not quickly tagable.

Mirage and Lost Temple returning in Reforged was said by no name just luck on the RU/UA Discord server when Reforged was introduced. A translation was posted on reddit.
I searched that server, finding many of the translated comments, until the reddit post was confirmed as accurate.
Not all the current maps may be present when Reforged is released, with the remainder arriving later. Mirage, Lost Temple, and the reworked Himmeldorf will also be introduced at some later point.

however mine is factually too small for t10 tanks, and dead rails is big enough but has massive conception issues :
- the TD are way too overpowered, they have view angles on every sides of the maps, so the experience when you play heavy medium is so frustating and ruined
- this map has nothing to offer for light tank
- the cap is a no man's land, located right below the medside
Also I believe that there is one point that we barely talk about but that can be really frustating : in t10 not all maps are adapted to light tanks
like some maps are totally fine, but honestly unplayable if you have a light tank : himmelsdorf and port bay for example

Every tank (except the Helsing and the Sheridian's missile) can shoot from one corner of the map to the other corner. The fastest light would spot everybody in spawn, the rest of that team would fire, and the battle would be over very quickly.

Some time after the change to Reforged. So far WG has said there will be 11 maps on release, with the rest also coming later. In general, there's a lot of work being done on Reforged and no one is giving exact dates.

Well I’m just saying… on Campstilla one map gets 3 wide TD spots that is across 1 throughout its whole spawn. Which is the top spawn on the mini map. Not to mention meds can shoot the exposed heavy hill, and heavy’s can shoot the exposed med side Hill unless going low or fully wide. It’s like Dead rail where TD’s can hit almost every side of the map at every angle.
honestly quite a few maps in upper tier need a rework, either enhanced, or enlarged, one other thing and idk if this is the right place, but in terms of the game would it be possible to get a view range indicator similar to wot pc? given we for 1 do not know the map size and for 2 its hard to reference view range with unknown variables

I think there isnt even a proper map rotation in the first place, so it needs to be fixed first and i dont understand why the map rotation is so random and Sketchy on wotb... And good idea for map creator. Maybe with unreal engine it will be easier, who knows. I think the main obstacle is to have such options for mobile players
On top of that, i wanted to say,
I'd do a lot of crazy things just to have a bigger minimap in the game on pc. Like its really ridiculous, i play on a 27 inches screens and the minimap is just so small even at its maximum size 💔🥀 i guess it shouldnt be a big work to just allow us to have a bigger minimap for big screens

You literally drive around with a debuff at all times
Put a camo on for the added concealment and turn off camo viewing in settings. You get the benefit of the camo without having to look at it. That’s a Win Win

i guess town maps are mostly suitable for heavy tanks.
You're right! I tried the middleburg town map and it's very effective for heavies, it's also become my favorite map when playing heavies.
It all comes down to what kind of heavy tank, generally town maps will work best for good sidescraping heavys, like the German ones.
But it may be less effective for heavys who are meant to play hull down, and only show you their turret. For those tanks you want to find some good hills that you can play behind and use to hide most of your tank
Like T29 does it have to be hull down? I like different types of heavy tanks and you are absolutely right about hull down because I have a hard time using heavy tanks that have to hide behind hills.
Have to be, not against low tiers. If you want to get the most out of the tank, yes. Even just being slightly hulldown can help.
Most American and USSR heavys are generally best played hulldown, as they have a lot of turret armor but not as much hull armor
But can these tanks be used for sidescraping as well or is it absolutely hull down?
Some can, many however will do much worse at it because of a few things
The USSR IS - IS3 - etc line has the issue of a triangle front plate, which means when you go to sidescrape they are able to shoot straight through that piece and you don’t help yourself at all.
The American Yoh line has the wacky turret placement, it’s put at a spot where you still put yourself at a good risk when you peak.
Most tanks in American/USSR can be used for both, but will be less effective at one than the other. These lines have better turrets for playing hulldown then say the German heavys, but they lack the same amount of armor on the hull to sidescrape with as those same German heavys
