Playing with a TD requires a
High amount of skill and experience of the maps. Not recommended for players who have joined new.

German TDs such as hetzer and stug might feel good in a new player's hands but the latter tanks are quite difficult to master.

Better start with heavy and mediums and explore the maps. Observe how the opponent TDs place themselves on the map.

Don't get attracted towards the TDs just bcoz of high alpha. Every tank has pros n cons remember.

1 or 2 skilled tankers in the opposing team will decommission u in a minute

German heavies are all over balanced and require skills.

Rus heavies are good too but as I said, accuracy sucks.

UK heavies are actually good but u need to be experienced again. Angling ur hull and side scraping is the fundamentals u need to learn. Has less alpha but good dpm

French heavies are not for inexperienced players. Better not go into it.

I haven't tried other nations. So can't say much.

But the missiles were hard to control, exceptionally sluggish, has piss-poor range (though it probably wouldn't matter anyways, the Sheridan has terrible accuracy, and are still HEAT, so it loses to spaced armor. They definitely were annoying, but I can't see how they were broken.

By the way, it literally doesn’t matter how thick the external module or spaced armor plate is, the shell will always pass the three calibers rule against the main plate. All it has to do is hit something else first

I personally enjoyed playing Churchill and currently black prince. Good DPM. Good armor profile, although weak but placement of armor is good so u can angle and sidescrape. Moving tanks will have difficulty in hitting ur front especially lts and mts.

Haven't reached tier 9 but as most of the people here said, it's pure suffering so I'm not gonna spend any fxp on them.

Vk 100 has 2 weak spots from the front:

a big bulbous cupola on the left of its turret.

And the gap between the tracks. The lower plate.

Hide these two weak spots by keeping yourself behind a rock or non pennable obstacle.

Sidescrape in such a way where the cupola could be hidden on the left i.e choose a wall on the left and sidescrape.

If u r caught in the middle, u will get fragged by mts and lts as ur turret speed sucks and also aiming time sucks too.

If u make yourself too visible then some heavies and TDs will always track ur cupola and the lower plate. U will be bullied.

Side skirts are not tht strong. So wiggling won't provide any means of deflection from the sides. And it will disturb ur aim.

Unless the situation is max teammates to 2 or 3 opponent tanks which are sitting ducks, DON'T PUSH.

U can farm a lots of damage and shell bonks through sidescrape. Hulldown isn't effective bcoz of the cupola.

The tier 9 and 10 will need the same tactics to play.

The Lansen C needs a dpm buff. The reload should be 8.4 seconds, that would balance the dpm out with the other meds with similar play styles. People would buy it, especially for the fact that it would have around 2.3k dpm. The tank can shine, especially with its amazing camo rating, and view range. It’s like a light tank with bad dpm.

I tried playing aggressive TD on the fist game and realised it's the other kind of TD, the camping kind.
So for the next 10 or so games I found a good hulldown spot and got cozy on a sight line, waiting for team advantage (usually mid-game) to leave my spot and press on. Neither seems to work. get spotted too easily (fv215b183 is also easy spotting but I manage usually to relocate or remain too far away to hit. Also it has a turret so...) Also 380mm is cool unless the shot never lands in the first place. 50 battle mark and 100% crew there are some blantantly easy shots missed for bloom

You then hang around like a fly and pick shots from the flanks, or if the battle allows it, from behind. You can annoy many heavies and td's with this.

let's say it's so situational that you can make it work only in a few situations

why so? well the gun isn't really consistent (accuracy of a 122mm on a 107mm), the mobility is very bad and the armor is good but only if people don't use high-pen prammos

German heavies have good pen, good accuracy and good bonkable armour if....used correctly.

Russian heavies are difficult to pen, are slow and also the accuracy and reload speed sucks. Although the alpha is good.

British heavies are known for good dpm but weak alpha. Don't expect punching power from them. They don't have good hp, but have well placed strong armour on the front, so it requires a good knowledge abt the armour profile to use it effectively. But u won't enjoy playing tier 5, 6, 9 and 10. They suck.

Polish heavies are good in higher tiers. Tier 8 and tier 9 are awesome. Even tier 7 works well. Good armour, good gun and accuracy along with speed.

Lastly I would say abt US tanks. Though noob friendly, only few tiers will actually make u feel good while playing. For example, T1 heavy is good while u will suck in M6. T29 is good but T32 sucks. M103 sucks until n unless u get the best attachments.

Yes US tanks are hulldown beasts but they lack in penetration and alpha when u play in t29 and t32.
