If you’re new to medium tanks, I’d stay away from British mediums altogether and play the Soviet, American, or German (E50M) ones first. If you do not want to start a new line, I would go for the Comet and the medium line first.
If you have prior medium experience and want a challenge, go for the Challenger. Be warned, the tanks are super hard to play. I struggle in them too, but when they work, they work great.

Ah yes, tell a new player to go down light tanks lines. Also, the Prog line requires lots of free xp and game knowledge of how to use the auto reloads effectively, which a new player won’t have. Yoh line is meh for a beginner, requiring lots free xp as well.

If you want the best starter lines, there are really two options: IS-7 or E100. Both have great lines, not requiring much free xp to get past a horrible gun.

The IS-8 is the worst in the branch not because it’s flat out bad, but because it’s very different from the rest of the line. For new players the IS-8 can prove a real tricky beast to handle after the IS and IS-3.

the piss poor alpha is what makes the tank really boring, but the combination of speed, armour, gun depression and dpm is what allows the AX to be strong. It's your job to place yourself in positions where the enemy can't trade, or when you can out trade them using your turret armour

the semblance of armour on the hull also gives you more flexibility in the positions you can play, unlike the caern, which can give you a little more carry potential in some scenarios

It’s not that fast, armor is rather weak once enemies press the 2 key (which they can and still out trade you), and the amount of cover on maps makes it so that they can easily peek out, hit you for more than you hit them, and then get back into cover before you can fire a second shot

it's not that fast yes, is it enough to be mobile? Yes, and it has some "semblance of armour", it's much better than the caern's absolutely poor sides, and that's all that matters. Onto the matters of out trading though, it's all up to the player themself to choose which fights they want to be in. I usually don't face out-trading issues in the AX simply because as I said, it has the tools to play many positions.

You can get away with being more aggressive when you’re top tier, but generally as a tank with a long clip reload you want to be close to teammates That can give you support and not isolate yourself which would make you an easy target.

this is especially true when you’re going to be in those tier 9 games. You generally want to relegate yourself to 2nd line support and you definitely do not want to rely on your armour when you’re bottom tiered.

The T54E1 is a large support medium tank, it plays best as an opportunist type, finding isolated enemies and dumping its clip. The gun is a rather nice 105mm with good enough penetration. Think of the armor as non existent, can sometimes bounce on the turret. The mobility is not good enough to be a good flanker

When running double repair kits (every single tank in my garage) I repair things instantly with those, so the faster repair speed isn't all that helpful. If the track doesn't get taken off in the first place you don't have to waste a repair kit on it.

The grille 15's biggest downside is having a terrible camo rating as a td and accuracy is the grille's forte. And if you have a problem hitting you shots w/o reticle cali, might asw go with it. Anggael suffers from that tank in his grille vid and it improved his aim.

When I grinded Chinese TDs during burning games I was getting 100k credits per game with prem acc. If you want efficient grind use gamemodes with multiple lives + xp boosters to finish bad tanks fast. For premiums try to save up gold from ads to get 1 tank you'd like spamming

If you have a tank you'd play for 1k+ games that isn't t9-t10 you could enrich it during 70% discount as well

yeah burning games are good for credit farm. by simply healing 10k hp (which isn't really hard with good dpm + HE) i get like 150k credits

and enriching is really expensive ngl. considering all the factors i dont think its worth it

tech tree can be nerfed and if not it'll probably be powercrept eventually
prems literally cost less than enrichment

but lets say i do that. which lines should i prioritize? like, lets say i get 3x boosters. which lines should i use it on?

Otherwise whatever tank you want to play least and get over with quicker

For me right now I am grinding Chinese meds+heavies and all russian lines and what I do is get 2x xp on all tanks and then grind the most fun one. I also don't buy next tank in line until there's tech tree discounts or I ran out of tanks to grind(all researched)

if your playstyle consists of entirely avoiding damage then you are doing it wrong.
the E100 got a big HP pool that you should use to trade with enemies whenever you can do so.

that doesn't go to say that you shouldn't angle it, when you are reloading retreat to a defensive position and angle so you don't get outtraded
only take damage if you are sure you will outtrade the enemy and inflict damage on them. unless your HP is dangerously low

so if you just go by colour (green to red.) the best TT tanks are the IS-7 and the 60tp
