The Lowe is a multi-purpose heavy, which mainly brawls with other heavies, but can deal with long range engagements if it must.

The armor is not supposed to be effective if you don't use it correctly, if you want bounces, find a way to hide your lower plate, angle your upper plate further upwards, and keep your side armor at an auto-ricochet angle. The rubble on heavyside Himmelsdorf is a perfect example of terrain Lowe can use to do all three of those actions

Since your turret is decently fast at rotating, just wiggle it side to side to cause problems when they aim at your weakspots.

In battle, analyse the map and enemy tanks positioning. You need to find ways to flank and take advantage of any weak points of a teams positioning. Creating another front means more pressure on the enemy team, and their attention will be divided.
Of course, you have to use good judgment in your positioning. Being over aggressive risks you being rushed by a part of the enemy team. Same with teammate support. Always be around teammates that you can fall back towards, and put enemies into their line of fire

If I were you I’d always max out tanks and then grind your way to the next tank, that way the grind takes longer but you get to play the tank in the best configuration and you are more likely to have enough credits to buy the next tier tank once you are done

Ignoring all the sell comments, sidescraping and slight hulldown in shallow trenches and small hills works best to cover one of its easier weak points to hit in the front: the lower plate. Just remember to move the hull and turret periodically to mess with their aim against the lower plate, the cheeks, and that tumor of a cupola on top of the turret. If someone spots you from the side, try to angle it enough to hope for a ricochet if it’s not HE. The gun is essentially the Maus gun on a tier 8, so go to town on em once the slightly slower reload finishes.

In Gravity Force, if you know you can get a clean ram on anything, preferably a heavy with a thin hull since they can’t jump, but not against most German superheavies (in the Maus family, maybe counting the E 100) because they can usually shrug it off with counter-damage dealt back, accommodate their movements with slight turns in their direction and send all that weight speeding into one clean knockout if you connect. If you miss, immediately hit the brakes and turn around ASAP since hull traverse is rather slow

It says 136mm right before autobounce but we'll add 140mm because of the tracks being 40mm and then when I subtracted 100mm from Y to show the bottom of the graph. So this is AP taking on 276mm of armor at near perfect auto-ricochet angle. Angling more will quickly drain down effectiveness, creating only a small window of room to over-angle past auto-ricochet. This little window is literally all VK 100 has over VK 168 in the track weakspot.

Considering their role as sidescrapers, both are easy to force auto-ricochet on the tracks, so enemies will have to deal with the turret instead. The larger turret on VK 168 is a much more fitting argument for VK 100 having advantages over VK 168, since the lower sides are almost negligible since neither are usually used below 70 degree angles.

Use the larger turret cheeks argument instead, please ignore the "track weakspot", because both basically have them

It makes better credits than even enriched VK 100.01 P, costs less to repair, and is heavier for more fun in gravity mode, because they're just about as fast as each other. VK 100.01 P survived better by stats but is slightly worse in all other aspects, even damage ratio

Challenger-FV4005 line also good too, should be researched after Japanese line if you having hard time grinding those (if not, this should be last.)
