In case you didn’t know, there are two provisions that are really useful. Protective Kit and Improved Fuel. Useful on every single tank. Always put them on

It’s got a bigger gun and thicker armor in the front turret and hull (protecting the lower plates), but it can still be penned through the front with some tier 9 prammo

I tested and confirmed that theory with the M-V-Yoh’s stock gun with the premium HEAT shells. Penned right through the frontal hull in the lower plate and killed it. He got salty.

K-91 should be played like any other autoloader, but it’s more like a medium

At first when I look at the conquerors stats I thought that the tank wouldn't be that since I'm used to playing the AX - good turret armour, good Hull armour (especially the upper frontal plate) and decent sides (90). Then I played the conqueror and it really doesn't bounce anything, even with it's turret. 7- of gun depression is a bit painful too since you're tall so it gives you atleast 5-6- of effective gun depression. When in a hopeless situation I try to sidescrape, even though know that it has worse sides than the tier 8 AX (90 vs 51). Obviously I get penned easily. So now I'm a bit confused on how to play this tank. Hulldown, penned. Sidescrape penned. Now I just resort to peek a boom. That even, its not the best because of 12- kmh of reverse. Basically this tank is the perfect definition of a glass cannon, a slow one too which makes it worse. Not saying that this tank is bad but it's performance really caught of guard for sure. Want to talk a bit about its gun. It's nice but trying to expose your tank is super risky same goes with trading dmg. Low HP and very fragile modules and crew. I'd prefer if the Conqueror is placed at tier 8 and AX at tier 9 lol 🤓

I played the conq as more of a second line tank. You don't want to tank damage early into the game, but your gun and mobility are both very good for a HT. Playing as a tank that pushes on opportunity also allows you to use the extremely potent HESH rounds the tank gets, which allow you to deal huge damage when catching lightly armoured tanks or tank's side/rears.

Also, it’s an Object classification, the tank was never mass produced or put into service, so weegee can put whatever number they want on the side and we can’t say “That’s not historically accurate”

The Sheridan's gun penetration is bad for balancing purposes. The actual 152 they use had more than enough penetration to get through anything of the time

Not really by the 70s-80s when the A2 debuted the shillelagh it still used was utter crap by the time and rifled munitions were even worse as they rocked the sights out of line. All in all it couldn’t hit anything far and surely would not punch through anything at the time including the T-72

I don't have it, so all I can tell you is watch your turret, it's pretty paper to heavy prammo, and you can outtrade any other heavy at t10 with a large hp pool so it's pretty good at trading

define best, best performing tanks might not be a good fit for you depending on your needs and playstyle. That said, there are really only a few t8 premium meds that are worth getting. Chimera, Prog, M4 Rev, Defender Mk1. 5/1 is close but I'm not a fan of its lacking damage potential.

t8 is heavy spam central and most heavies can bully meds without much problem. Even if you want a med playstyle there are tanks like the Sheriff, Emil 1951, and Amx M4 49 that simply outclass meds in nearly every scenario

playing t8 meds is a challenge for most players, if you have little experience in them it's a good idea to hone your skills at tier 6 before rushing up (or even worse spending money) and getting blasted. Take your time and figure out what attributes appeal to you.

The problem with tier 8 meds is that tier 8 is where alpha basically becomes a necessity. Sub 250 alpha really doesn't cut it when a tank doesn't really have dpm or armor to back it up

When you hit an enemy with a t8 med the enemy knows where you are. The reloads aren't fast enough to put in a second one unless it's an autoloader, and as soon as the enemy takes notice of you you are forced to back off.

The bad alpha meds are really only good at farming horribly incompetent enemies

Premiums are restored for credits. The price for restoring a premium is its sell price + a 10% fee.
Collectors are restored for gold. The price for restoring a collector tank is for the same amount of gold you would have gotten when you sold it.

Competitive wise, E3 & Ho-Ri would be my top options for tier ten. The death star is pretty bad, but remains popular because of the high alpha fun factor. However, the tank will drain your credits rather quickly.

For a newer player, I’d recommend the Object 268 line tank destroyer wise.

As a sidenote, you shouldn’t rely on tank classes too much.
There are exceptions, where some tanks are in one class, but act like a different class.

T110E3 is a tank destroyer, but is more in line with a heavy tank.
FV215b is a heavy tank, but is more characteristic of a medium tank in some regard.
The Panther is a medium tank, but is more between a medium and a heavy tank.
So on.

As for lines, the T110E5 line is a great choice. All solid tanks, and pretty straightforward to play.
T110E3 is a great tier ten but the line to it isn’t the best and many find the line frustrating.

T110E5, Object 268, T-62A, IS-7, E-100 are my recommendations.
All solid tier tens, with a solid line to go down.
I do not recommend the IS-4 line first, the grind is painful. Going down the IS-7 line before IS-4 makes the grind easier, as they share modules.

IS-3 is fine. I would not consider it to be the worst tier 8 by any margin..

Also, I am keeping stock grinds in mind. He’s new, it’s his first tier ten he’s going for. Going down the IS-4 line for starters is painful. Particularly the KV-4 and ST-I

IS7 is also much better for learning and the grind gives you shared modules for the IS4 line, but I'd probably say the E100 line is a little better

The IS-7 cant scrape or angle. Also has crap pramo which is hard for noobs who arent the best at aiming.

It can angle and it teaches positioning, and also stops you relying on prammo which is even better for teaching. The IS4 is just useless for new players unless you like getting off to stats

When you angle like that, its an easy pramo pen. 255mm is a joke in tier 10
